Have you noticed that what we would call success in ministry looks nothing like what God called us to do. Most of us would love to preach to the masses and the few that are preaching to the massess cant be touched by the masses. and those of us that aspire to reach the masses are taking on characteristics of a Movie star instead of taking on the characteristics of Christ. We have Armor Bearers (Body Guards) that keep us Isolated from the people we are Called By God to serve. Jesus minstered to the masses and trained 12 apostles without body guards, secretarys to run interference and administrative assistants. I have a secreatary and an adminstrative assistant and I still answer my own phone. Are we ministering to people or are we performing for an audience? do we want the masses to know our name or do we want the masses to know his name? Most of us will never be on word network or TBN but our legacy is in the people that we serve. Each one that we build for the kingdom advances the kingdom and if that is our Goal then God will be pleased.

Blessings for those that agree with what pleases YHWH !....The bright light of the Gospel message. Light shining for the household of faith is the gift of kindness from heaven above. we need the severity of a character change and allow ourselves to stay under judgement so the necessary change can be effective and prepare us for eternity... Thank You for all that repent....sin of commission and omission is a common ground for ALL to be obedient.. that is the protection we need..

The Movie star mentality is creeping into ministry and some think its about them when its all about Jesus. It is the Job of the Holy spirit to guard my body and my soul if somebody wanted to get me they would no matter who was standing in front of me. But when Holy spirit is on post nothing shall by anymeans hurt me.

Pastors that can't reach out to the people are not really pastoring as god taught they forget they started out like everyone else we should never think more of our self then we ought too. if God thought he was good enough to come in the flesh and walk among the people up until the time he died on the cross then who are we not to be an example as jesus was its all about contact and not getting big head and loving the people enough to get personal help them. we are all great men and women of god but does that mean we need body guards No! if god kept jesus from being hurt every time someone wanted to hurt him then he can do the same for us with out body guards boy what has the church gotten in to now.

My brothers, I agree with all that has been said. One thing my pastor has taught me is that we are "servants" of the Most High God. In our church my pastors have shown us by example - - - no one comes into the house of God and goes out without being in direct contact with the pastors. It is important that we "touch" everyone. Every visitor gets a personal telephone call from the pastor and the rest of the clergy are also in contact. If there is anyone sick, lacking, in jail, etc. our pastor does not only send one of us to be of assistance, but our pastors also tend to those in need. We are suppose to be an example of Christ as servants and not to be served.

I try to make it a point to call someone from the congregation that I serve on a daily basis; I speak to leaders daily . I believe in having an open door My office door stays open unless Im talking to someone.

I preached that same message years ago,,titled God wants back his church,,and I made plenty of enemies..keep telling the truth,,what do they need body guards for ,what are they hiding? what was done in the dark?evryone is sekking the mega church instead of the mega message that will set the captives free
