promote the creation of spiritual junkies

Dear friend,
I want to share with you something that has become very disturbing to me and that is how some of us are using the gifts of prophecy, word of wisdom and word of knowledge.
It is rather unsettling how some persons are using their gifts in the same manner as psychics - where persons are encouraged to call for a word and, in some cases, even pay to receive a "word from the Lord". Where in Scripture does it say that you will have revelation for everyone who approaches you? In this way, some of us are operating as spiritual doctors. You can then feel pressured to deliver a word and end up "prophe-lying", which brings your character, integrity and ministry into question. In the same way that you give a false word, someone will walk around and talk about you as a prophet.
Let it be clear that I cannot and do not promote the creation of spiritual junkies where persons come to us for a "drug" or booster shot for their lives. We have to teach persons how to approach their Heavenly Father instead of constantly running to us. Our dependency and their dependency must be on Christ not on a man.
Please note that I am not attacking anyone. Yes, the Lord has used me in times to speak into persons' lives but I am not God. We need to teach persons to be God-centric and not man-centric. Instead of encouraging a quick-fix generation, let us teach God's people to spend time in prayer, fasting and waiting on Him.

LETS SAY IT AS IT IS, WE HAVE TO MANY MEN AND WOMEN IN THE PULPITS WHO ARE THERE TO ESTABILISH THEIR OWN RIGHTIOUSNESS, WHO ARE LEADING GOD' PEOPLE ASTRAY WITH HEIR DEPENDENCY GOSPEL, IT IS NOTHING SHORT OF SPIRITUAL WITCHCRAFT IF GOD IS NOT GETTING THE GLORY,THEN GOD IS NOT IN IT, WE ALL HAVE THE SAME ACCESS INTO THE THRONE ROOM OF GOD, WE ALL CAN COME BOLDLY TO THE THRONE OF GRACE TO FIND HELP, THE LAST TIME I CHECKED JESUS WAS THE ONLY MEADITOR BETWEEN GD AND MAN NOT A PASTOR, NOT A PROPHET NO OTHER MAN HAS THAT GRACE ON HIS LIFE, SO YOU ARE S RIGHT MY BROTHER IT'S HIGH TIME WE STP FOOLING ARUND WITH GOD'S PEOPLE OR HAVE WE FORGOTTEN OUR WORD (WOE UNTO THE SHEPHERD THAT LEAD THE FLOCK ASTRAY), GOD BLESS SHALOM

Perversion is what we call it. The Word said "Freely we receive freely we give" Those who sell the Word of God will soon sell themselves to the devil. The evil shall slay the wicked! God bless you brother for speaking out. shalom!

As with the prophetic gift any of the ministry gifts can be misused. Misused in the sense that the enemy can distort, switch and use our god given desire to relieve the distress of another. They both,the minister and the ministered to, need to stay prayerful.
