Response to comments that are hopefully not out of context.

1. Even Jews who reject Jesus are not children of God, according to Scripture:

When Jesus spoke of scripture it was not the gospels or the writings of Paul none of which existed.
Israel was adopted by God. Many fell by the wayside and out of favor. God is God of all and creator of all, somehow an interpretation of Hebrew writings that denies that fact feels wrong. Since the Hebrebraic teachings of Jesus and those who are followers of the Christ (Christians) took centuries to propogate around the world who are you to condemn all those people no matter what Paul wrote? Because as Christians we do not in actuallity live our faith, but we tend to practice religions people have a hard time accepting what we say about Jesus no matter how loudly we say it. Too many denominations at odds with each other and the so-called pagan religions make for a weak argument.
We do not show Jesus, but we protray some religious elements that may be false in them selves.

2. this young man is looking for something he can get out the Bible and that is a closer walk with GOD

Any time I see this or similar statement I remember an axiom from seminary
" All things in the Bible are not true, but all truth is in the Bible."
Simply said, all the information you need in this world will not be gained by reading the bible, nor will all moral and ethical values be there for each society. There are things in the bible that may have been true or are only true for Hebrews. Yet the truth of moral and ethical guidance is there and will bring one closer to God, closer is very relative.
