Praise the Lord Family!

Isn't it great knowing Jesus Christ? So many people doubt Him but I cannot live without Him ....And yes, I truly love Him so because He is so real to me!!!

Like many of you, I have experienced many trials of my faith and endured many afflictions, tribulations and circumstantial chaos in my life. Although, I am a very bubbly, joyful and positive person, which of course is true because of my relationship with Jesus Christ, most of my saved life has been very turbulent or in other words very challenging to maintain.

I believe that while not all Christians has had to experience as much hardship as I have, it is certainly true to whom much is given much is required. I believe it is also true the closer we get to God and the more we become a threat to our enemy's camp and operation, we become more and more prone to adversity and spiritual warfare.

What is most awesome about life and circumstances is that God Almighty is in control and has a Divine well thought-out plan for you and I and all of His people to enjoy a life of rest, peace and love, a life of total prosperity and victory and yes, even Eternal Life when we choose to accept Him in our lives. I know this may sound contradictory to my previous statement which seem to describe constant tribulation and quite frankly a "hard-knock life", but in order to truly understand ...when you come to know Jesus you will see that spiritual warfare to the true believer is really spiritual rest in disguise.

Jesus said to us in the word of God to "take my yoke upon you and learn of me". The gospels declare "that he that hath the Son hath Life". Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He is the Bread of Life.... the Living Water" ....He is the Resurrection and the Life..... In Him is life and the life is the Light of men. In Colossians we learn that "our life" is really Jesus Christ and "our life" is hid in Christ in God. So then, when we develop a love/worship relationship with our Father through Jesus Christ through first accepting that He is our Savior and our Redeemer and repenting of our sin, then daily we praise Him and thank Him for who He is and for all He's done. We learn of Him through reading the Bible and studying the word and the way He wants us to begin living "our life" now. Daily we began to apply His Godly principles to our daily lives in our behavior as well as how we interact with other people. These are all necessary basic actions we must take in getting to know Jesus and I am including this because I am always mindful of those who may be in the process of surrendering their life to Christ or who may need a better understanding of how to begin a relationship with Jesus Christ. I am also mindful that despite my desire or efforts to be clear on this subject, some things simply cannot be taught they have to be "caught ".Amen. Meaning some things we need the most in knowing Jesus cannot be taught or studied but has to be revealed spiritually by God.

Okay , back to this spiritual rest I mentioned earlier....

There is a place in God....a level, if you will, that you and I can grow into or develop into in Christ Jesus where trouble, trials, sickness or chaos cannot reach us. Let me say that another way....there is a place so deep in God, a secret place, a state of our spiritual being, a place beside still waters, a place of green pasture, a spiritual place of total trust in His Word, total rest in God's promises, where the cares of life nor the wiles of th devil cannot effect our praise, our faith or our right-standing with God!

Hebrews Chapter 4 : 1-2 and 6-11

1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.

6Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

7Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

8For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.

9There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

10For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

11Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief."

There remains a REST for the people of God
and it is not physical death ....but it is very much a spiritual death.
For we must die to ourselves, that Christ may live in us.

"Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:11

"And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness." Romans 8:10

"Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin. " Romans 6:3-7

Our ways, our thoughts, our reasoning, our carnal methods and our fleshly or worldly character must be done away with and we must put on Jesus Christ. Not, God will put Jesus Christ on us if we just do the very best we can....but we must purposely decide to "put on" the Lord Jesus Christ in order to have a close relationship with Him.

"But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof."

Romans 13:14

Well, I am always doing something for the advancement of the Kingdom of God or planning/preparing the next thing all at the same time ...I need your constant prayers as do all of God's great army of believers. ....there is a lot on my plate of life although for some time now I have had many obstacles , set-backs and physical hinderances and affliction that I refuse to keep me from bringing Glory to the Name of Jesus as well as souls into His Great Kingdom. So much so that the average person or even some above average persons would probably find more than sufficient grounds to complain and to be sad or depressed ...But thanks be to God who causes us to triumph !!!
