Serving God Has Its Benefits

Meditation Scripture for this week: Psalm 128:1-6

 

The six blessings that will be yours if you walk in
the fear of God:

1. You will enjoy the works of your hands.
   
2. Your wife will give birth to blessed and godly children.
   
3. Your children will be a delight and a help to others.
   
4. You will prosper and your prosperity will outlive you.
   
5. Your eyes will see your children’s children blessed.
   
6. You will live a happy and contented life.

Some people believe that serving God is not profitable and
that the church is just a place we go to run from the realities of life. However,
the Word tells us that the man that fears the Lord is a wise and prosperous
man. That man will see the goodness of God operating through his children’s
children. His entire family from one generation to the next will experience
prosperity that they cannot exhaust. I believe that they will experience
eternal happiness in heaven together.
