Something for the Ladies to read!!
Current mood: awake
Now most of ya'll might read the first part of this and then disregard it ...but why not give a moment of your time to read something that might help you more than you think.
Oh, and I am by no means accusing anyone of anything, or judging you, nor do I believe myself to be perfect.
I just wanted to enlighten you ladies with a little verse from the bible that talks about God punishing the women of Zion because of their lack of respect for themselves and God, and putting there utmost attention on their personal outward appearance.
The women of Zion paraded around "hoochifed" seeking the attention of men rather than concentrating and humbling themselves, and perfecting their inner beauty.
Because of this God stripped them of their beauty and the women of Zion became ugly and stunk. Remember to put God first. He made you the beautiful person you are.
He also says that a man will find a wife, and find a good thing. (Meaning don't go looking for a man and lower yourself to attract their attention, because you think you need a man.
Let the man be the chaser. God will send you your husband to find you when u are ready, put your focus on HIM). Think about it...
Isaiah 3:16-26 (New International Version)
16 The LORD says,
"The women of Zion are haughty,
walking along with outstretched necks,
flirting with their eyes,
tripping along with mincing steps,
with ornaments jingling on their ankles.
17 Therefore the Lord will bring sores on the heads of the women of Zion;
the LORD will make their scalps bald."
18 In that day the Lord will snatch away their finery: the bangles and headbands and crescent necklaces, 19 the earrings and bracelets and veils, 20 the headdresses and ankle chains and sashes, the perfume bottles and charms, 21 the signet rings and nose rings, 22 the fine robes and the capes and cloaks, the purses 23 and mirrors, and the linen garments and tiaras and shawls.
24 Instead of fragrance there will be a stench;
instead of a sash, a rope;
instead of well-dressed hair, baldness;
instead of fine clothing, sackcloth;
instead of beauty, branding.
25 Your men will fall by the sword,
your warriors in battle.
26 The gates of Zion will lament and mourn;
destitute, she will sit on the ground.
