Sounding the Alarm---A Stern Warning for Prophets & Preachers in the Body of Christ

As I was praying about an hour ago, the Lord begin to speak to this to me and directed my attention to the following verses below:

There’s a great deception coming to the Body of Christ from within. But this time, there shall be a penalty for such deception. God has heard the cry of His people. People are sick of playing church and playing games. They are in search of a real God and a real word. Not flattering words, manipulation and divination, but a REAL word.

Scriptures:
Jeremiah 28
Deut. 18:20-22

Hananiah gave out a false prophecy that sounded right but wasn’t right. The text says that he prophesied falsely in the presence of Jeremiah, the priests and the congregation of people. Jeremiah’s response to his prophecy was “only when a prophet’s words come to pass will it be known that truly the Lord has sent him”.

Hananiah’s name means “Yahweh is gracious”, yet he didn’t take advantage of this grace. After he received this warning from Jeremiah, he followed his made up prophecy with a false sign/demonstration. This demonstration closely mimics the New Testament story of Paul and the prophet Agabus. The spirit of deception that has creeped into the church looks like God, sounds like God, but in the end, it can’t keep up with God! Hear the warning of the Lord my fellow ministers of the Gospel that this type of trickery and mockery of the Holy Spirit will no longer be tolerated in the house of God!

Jeremiah allowed the charade to go on but came back later on under the unction of the Holy Spirit and spoke a word to Hananiah. It was a word of reproof, correction, rebuke and ultimately, death. Jeremiah was sensitive enough to the voice of God to be able to bring down the false prophet who caused the people of God to trust in a lie.

The spirit of Jeremiah shall rise again and any prophet that causes the people of God to turn away from God and begin to serve him or her for personal shall be put to death! He who prophesies must first be sent.

Be careful: Lives are at stake and blood will be required at your hands! That makes ministry seem much more serious than we often make it sound and/or appear.

Let’s set the house in ORDER and "walk worthy of the vocation wherewith we are called"! Selah…
