                                                       Pride or Humility

 

One of the hardest places to find oneself within, is in the net of Pride. For it prevents a person from dealing with the truth. It distorts a persons vision, keeping them from needed change; because they think everything is fine. The bible teaches that "PRIDE" hardens the heart and dims the eyes of our understanding. It keeps you from...... the required change of heart-- repentance-- that will set you free. Pride, all by itself helps you to see yourself as a victim; mistreated, mistaken and misjudged. Therefore, justified in your behavior; thus holding back forgiveness. Pride, has a hard time letting people be themselves and never likes being told it's wrong. PROVERBS 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Father, help us everyday to be humble and not prideful. Help us to be concern about the log in our eye and not worry about  the spect in the eye of others. see (Luke 6: 42) Holy Spirit teach us to accept constructive and Godly criticism and counsel. For God extends grace to the humble, the peacemakers and to them who are meek. Amen, {Pastor Wright}
