Speaking Positive In The Face Of Negative Things

Psalm 91:1-16} He Who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty (Whose power no foe can withstand). I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God, on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I (confidently) trust. For (then( He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. (Then) He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shalll you trust and find refuge. His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrows (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day. Nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you. Only a spectator shall you be (yourself inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High) as you witness the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place. There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent. For He will give His angels (especial) charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways (of obedience and service). They shall bear you up on their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and adder, the young lion and the serpent shall you trample underfoot. Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him. I will set him on high because he knows and understands My name (has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love and kindness--trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no never). He shall call upon Me and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation.

I know we have read today's Scriptures many times, but have we really meditated on the many wonderful promises from God in them? If we truly get an understanding of them, we would not fear anything that comes our way. It's important to receive what God has for us, but it's also as important to use His word to speak out positive things in our lives. We reap what we so. When we sow negative words, they will bring about negative situations in our lives. And when we sow positive words, we will reap positive things. God's word works! God gave me these Scriptures today to encourage each and every one of you.

There are too many of us, as Christians, today who are always speaking about our sicknesses, our lacks, our hurts, our pain, we have fallen into the "woe is me" syndrome. It's time to speak things as they should be and not as they are. Speaking God's word brings life to us. Speaking out God's promises will bring a positive action into every situation we face. This is one reason the enemy tries to keep us so busy and so focused on other things that we don't take the time to get into His word or study it for that matter....even though God tells us to study His word to rightly divide. Then what happens when we do get in trouble is we will take one Scripture of God's word and use it out of context. We need to take in the whole counsel of God. God's word is not only our weapon of warfare, it is a teaching tool, it will heal and deliver, and yes it will even convict us when we are in sin. I've always said that the word internalized is the enemy neutralized.

More often than I can remember the Lord has always given Me a word before an attack takes place. He will prepare us when things are coming. He will give us a word to bring us peace and stability. God's word says to give and it shall be given to us. What are we giving out in these days? God is not talking just about money or material things here. He is talking about every word that proceeds out of our mouth, every action we do towards another and every deed that is carried out. Are we giving out positive or negative things? Our words have power! Life and death is in the tongue. The tongue is also one of the things that is the hardest to rule and to bring under the subjection and rulership of God. It's so important to ask God to put a guard over our mouths and to help us to speak only what He would have us speak. We need to speak positives, and we need to speak life. We also need to ask Him to put a guard over our minds and our emotions. Too often we do wrong things because of these two areas overriding our common sense.

Today's Scriptures is the best insurance over our lives than any insurance we can pay for on this earth. Jesus paid the price! When things hit us, we will remain at peace and in stability. He will give us victory over every single battle that comes our way. But in order for this to happen we need to make Him our Fortress and our Refuge and trust in Him and His word completely, fully and without reservation!! Even though there are plagues hitting our world today like the swine flu and everything else the enemy has put out there, when we are connected fully with our Lord, He promises us none of these plagues shall come near our dwelling....that doesn't mean just our homes, it means the dwelling that He lives in...us! He has given us power to tread over every demon and every snare or assignment that comes our way. I would really urge you to read today's Scripture, meditate on them, study them, get them way down in your spirit. And as of today, speak out positive words over every area of your lives. Speak out positive to other people. No more negatives! No matter what is going on in our lives, God will turn it around every single time. Negatives cancel out God's blessings, just as fear cancels out faith. Be as bold as a lion and stand with God to bring victory upon victory into your life and in every situation. We are a blessed generation to have such a faithful, loving and powerful God. Amen! People will always fail us, but God never will! God bless you, I love you, but Jesus loves you so much more than I ever could.
