Spiritual Masturbation....Stop Playing With Yourself

During 5am prayer on Tuesday Morning these were the words that echoed as a trumpet in my spirit as I lay before God.Spiritual Masturbation...Stop Playing With Yourself!! As I lay before the Lord, He began to reveal to me not only the revelation but also of the urgency of what He is speaking. Saints of God, we had better recognize and discern the timing and seasons that we are in. No more games, foolisness and outward shows and no more spiritual masturbating! Church let's stop stimulating ourselves into a false sense of "heightened excitement"labeling it as "Intimacy"because it's not.All we are doing is stroking the outer parts..our flesh...getting our little shout on....speaking in a few tongues....flipping over pews..lights...camera...action....Showtime At The Churchhouse and we get our spiritual fix, our spiritual high our spiritual masturbation going on so we feel good because we've been touched in a spot where we had an itch....but the problem is we doing alot of touching of ourselves! We seem to think that everything is about me, me, me...We want the glory for the gift that doesn't belong to us, we want the accolades and the praise, we want the spotlight and we act as if we're doing God some favor if He chooses to use us! Masturbation...gives the illusion that you have been intimately involved with someone when the fact of the matter is its just been you, your imagination, hand or device that has guided you in your excitement and aided you in your release...The Same thing is happening in our churches as well as many of our relationships with God...We have this illusion that makes it appear as though we've been intimate with the Lord but in actuallity we have to be guided by music to get us in the mood... and swayed by the pumping and priming to get us to lift our hands and praise....we have to be aided by hearing a preacher preach and have him to lay hands on us or we not going to get our breakthrough...we wait for a prophet to give us "a" word and we fail to realize we have "The Word". These are devices that we use to guide us in reaching our spiritual excitement and aide us in our release...and just like in the natural the pleasure and the satisfaction is only temporary...we soon find ourselves wanting more because actually the "itch "is really not on the outside it's on the inside and if you're not careful you will find yourself addicted to your choice of "device" to aide you in.achievimg your release. Oh I know it feels good but is it good for you? True intimacy with God touches your most inner part, your spirit. He touches YOU! Intimacy with Him is completely satisfying
that will have you basking in an afterglow of His Glory when you've truely been in His presence! We don't have to await until we come to church to be "intimate" with God, we can be intimate with Him in our private time...Maybe if we were more intimate with Him in private....We wouldn't have the need to touch ourselves or let other fondle us inapproiately!
