Sundays' Sermon
Grace & Peace Church. We are snowed in in NC so since I can't preach in DA' HOUSE, I was led to share some of my notes with my FAM'.
1 Kings 17:8, speaks of GOD's command to Elijah to go and dwell with a widow woman that the LORD hat commanded to sustain him. Mind you prior to this the LORD spoke that there would be no rain until HE said so. As a result of this WORD the LORD sustained Elijah by ravens and now here the LORD was ready to provide for him again; but what about the Widow woman? I there was no water to sustain Elijah, then surely the people suffer as well. And the Widow said that she was prearing to feed herself and her son and die. Elijah heard this and told her to feed him first, then continue with her plan. However Elijah PROPHESIED to her and said that she would have ample PROVISION until it rained again. The Message is 2Fold; 1. regardless of what position OBEDIENCE to GOD places you in, HE WILL PROVIDE!; 2. Regardless of your situation, no matter how bad it looks, my brother/sister before you give up SOW A SEED. When you have given your BEST and it still does not seem to be enuff- SOW A SEED! That VERY SEED WILL be a HARVEST called PROVISION!
Even when the Widows son died, she gave Elijah something to work with; her son's body and the LORD brought forth a GREATER HARVEST, her son was resurrected. Regardless of what it is, this is your NEW BEGINNING. Whether it is your last SEED, or a situation or DREAM that appears to be DEAD, GIVE IT TO GOD-PLACE IT IN THE HANDS OF THE PROPHET and THERE WILL BE A HARVEST.
Regardless of how it LOOKS-before you GIVE UP; SOW A SEED! GOD BLESS U FAM!
