Take Hold

Take hold of my instructions; don't let them go.
Guard them, for they are the key to life.

Instructions are sometimes the last thing we resort or refer to when things are not working out as we anticipated. Could it be because we are too overly confident and are too assuming? No matter how similar something may appear to be to something we have seen before it can be all together different.
We are crossing over into new territory. Some things look the same but do not take it for granted that "you got this." It is not what it appears to be. You are now in a place you have never been before. Assume nothing but instead seek the Lord. Be still for a moment and get the Lord's instructions. There are wolves parading about in sheep's clothing and there are hidden traps that the enemy has set with the intent of snaring you for life.
Write every word of instruction down in a journal that the Lord speaks to your heart. Don't just underline it in the bible. Write it down and meditate on it daily. Do not lose sight of it. The Lord's instructions are not empty meaningless words. They are the difference between life and death. In the time of the storm they will sustain and hold as a sure anchor of hope.
Guard every word of instruction the Lord speaks because the thief will surly come to steal it. Do not handle the instructions of God carelessly as if they are insignificant and meaningless. Mankind does not live by bread alone. Mankind and especially those in the Lord are sustained and blessed by every word of instruction that proceeds out of the mouth of the Almighty.
There is now no room or excuse for failure. Take hold of every word of instruction the Lord speaks! Do not let them go! Guard them! They are your life and to key to life! Amen!
