There is a shift taking place in the earth and in the church. For to long the church has been built on emotionalism, inspiration instead of revelation and KIngdom principles of empowerment. It is true that more and more churches are moving into a Kingdom of God mentality and service but to many are still caught up in"the entertainment factor". Many people only go to churches where they have the biggest and best chiors or the loudest preacher. Sadly, many people leave these churches inspired but no true revelation of the word or practical understanding of how to use the word in their lives. When they are attacked by the enemy Satan, they have no foundation to fight the good fight of faith.

Now there is a place for great music and even demostrative praise but we MUST begin to teach people how to move from fleshly praise to true spirit led praise. Not to say that there are not true worshippers in the body, there are but God wants us more and more in understanding and unity so that He can release His power in the church and the earth.

I am fortunate to be in a bible teaching ministry. Our Sunday school class is called Kingdom Institute. I am
currently in the Health & wellness class- we have nurses and health care people teach abut how to take care
your body to prevent diseases & illness. There is a class on finance- deals with investments, savings, 401K plans, etc., retirement planning, Other classes on Marriage & family; study of the old & new testament. etc.
we recently had an in house leadership conference- and covered areas like small business, leadership in the church, meeting with various leaders to discuss improvements, youth ministry, gang prevention etc. I have taught workshops on how to access government grants. we have a youth praise & dance ministry. we have a lot of activities and programs at our church, which are helping to change / impact people' lives.

It's funny Evangelist Linda, I hear people say that all the time but yet what these "new converts" see in church is not what a set apart life is (most churches)..So the sinner (former) does not see a reason to stay if they look around and you see pregnant teens, and boys dressed as their counterparts in the world....

Set apart means set apart Life, dress, speech, choices etc are all something that needs to change...understanding the history (origin) of Christianity is important to know before stepping into it...paganism is boldly represented...You cannot teach truth if lies are the cornerstone of religion...

Yes, I agree with Evangelist Linda Smith, people do need to be taught. they need to be taught kingdom principles, because the kingdom is different from the world.Yes, for me this is a new experience, like so many others. Yes, people do need direction and basic information to inform them how to succeed and apply the principles in the kingdom & in their own lives. I came from the baptist church, so I am learning a lot of new things

It's interesting to me how many people seem to think that people who come out of the kosmos [this world's systems and agendas] and expect the new convert to have knowledge on how to run their lives. They first have to get a new mind. Their current way of thinking and operating must change. Rom. 12:2. So, then how can one change without showing people the way they should go, if they have never been taught. Living in the kingdom is different than living in the world. It's a different world, system and a different operation. I know we must work and supply our needs etc. But my point is this, we must first seek God's kingdom, and His way of doing things, everything! But, we need teachers that are equpped to teach a treasure so few can readily comphrehend.
