The Divine Exchange

Scriptural references: Isaiah 53:5, 2 Corinthians 5:17; 8:9, Gal 3:13-14, Isaiah 61:3,7

Beloved, do you know that Jesus took your place when he hung on the cross? Yea, he did. He suffered all the pains just because of you. He died in your place. He died so that you may not die but have eternal life. What a blessing! That’s the divine exchange I want to preach about. Jesus took away your old nature, all your weaknesses and problems and gave you his very own nature, attributes, gifts, inheritance etc. Hallelujah!

His Coming

From the day, Adam fell into sin, GOD had been thinking of sending a replacement and making a new breed of mankind. So he sent our Lord JESUS, the last Adam who knew no sin. Jesus thus became the first born and the beginning of a new generation that GOD was going to raise. He came through a virgin, Mary. The Holy Spirit came upon her and she conceived and had JESUS. He was born of the Spirit that we may become sons of GOD. Hallelujah!

His life

Our LORD lived a normal life. Though he was the son of GOD, he became the son of man that we may become the sons of GOD. Though he was rich, yet he became poor; that through his poverty we may become rich. He was betrayed by his own disciples that you may not be betrayed. He came unto his own but his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of GOD, even to them that believes in his name. Glory be to GOD!

On the Cross

Right there on the cross, Jesus literarily became sin so that you may become the righteousness of GOD in Him. He took upon himself all your sins, reproach, flaws, weakness etc. He took your sins that you may have his righteousness. Hallelujah! He was wounded for our transgressions and bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon him. He was despised, rejected, sorrowful, ugly and afflicted just because of you. He was beaten that you may be healed by his stripes. He took away the curses on you that you may receive the blessing. GOD, the Father left him so that he may not forsake you. He suffered pain that you may be without pain. He died that you may live and have eternal life. When he said – ‘it is finished ’. The price had been paid. His work had been completed. Glory!

After death

After JESUS died, he descended into hell and overcame the devil and his cohorts. Colossian 2:15 says – having spoiled principalities and powers, he made an open show of them, triumphing over them. He defeated him who had the power over death and took from him, the keys of Hades and of death. Hallelujah! From hell, he crossed over to paradise and released all the saints in there that were bound all their life due to the fear of death (Hebrews 2:15). Glory to GOD!

His resurrection

On the third day he resurrected, Glory to GOD! He conquered death for it was impossible for death to hold him down. His blood spoke for him. His sacrifice was accepted before GOD and he was raised back to life. Jesus resurrected that you may be raised up from your spiritual deaths and sins. Glory! And now He is alive forevermore. Hallelujah!

Name above all names

After Jesus resurrected from the dead, his Father promoted him and gave him a name above all names. So that at the mention of the name – JESUS, every knee in heaven, on earth and under the earth shall bow and every tongue shall confess that he is LORD… Philippians 2:9-11. Matthew 28:18 also tells us that GOD, the Father gave him all power and authority in heaven and earth. The good news is that he in turn gave it to the church. That means that we have all power. Matthew 16:17-18 also tells us that Jesus gave us his name to work with. Glory to GOD! That means that all power is locked up in that single name. Hallelujah!

The release of the Holy Spirit

After Jesus ascended into heaven, he sent the Holy Spirit to his body, the church. Thank GOD for the Holy Spirit. He is just like Jesus. He is the great comforter. The Holy Spirit is also called the Spirit of Jesus Christ. We must remember that GOD is one. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit make up the GOD-head. Now when you welcome Jesus into your heart, you welcome the trinity. The 3-in-1 GOD comes to live within you and tabernacle with you. Glory to GOD!

The miracle of salvation

It is amazing to experience the miracle of new birth. When you gave your life to Christ, your old life was taken away and a new life was given to you. That divine exchange happened all within a fraction of a second. The Zoë life of GOD came into your being and you became born again. Instead of sin, you got righteousness. Instead of death, you got eternal life. Instead of poverty, you got prosperity. Instead of shame, you got glory and honor. Instead of condemnation, you got salvation and justification.
Hallelujah! Glory to GOD!! What a divine exchange !!!

Prophecy:

I don’t know what you are going through right now but I came to tell you. It’s all over. Jesus paid for it all. You don’t have to suffer pain anymore. Jesus paid the price. Release your faith and receive the promise of the Holy Spirit. Let go the affliction and receive deliverance in Jesus name. Jesus has sent the Holy Spirit to set you free. Receive him in Jesus name. It’s a new day. A divine exchange has occurred. Glory to GOD! If you believe, give him a glorious and thunderous shout of hallelujah! He is worthy of our praise.
