THE POWER OF A QUIET SPIRIT IN THE MIDST OF CHALLENGES

Many a time we lose of sight the fact that the God we serve is who He says He is. God does not need our efforts to be God,neither does He need our wisdom ,knowledge,strategies and formulas to be who He says He is.He is sufficient by himself .A troubled and confused spirit in the midst of challenges will never fathom the magnitude of GOD.whatever you give attention too will give you direction.Your challenges will be as big as you magnify them to your eyes.
Psalm 46 from verse 1 says: God is our Refuge and strength,and ever present help in trouble,THEREFORE WE WILL NOT FEAR THOUGH THE EARTH GIVES WAY...
We shall not fear because God is sufficiently able and in control to handle anything that arises.
There are so many gifts ,favors and blessings God has bestowed on us.Each and everyone of us has received grace upon grace.When the devil is trying to get our attention on one gift or blessing he is attempting to destroy,lets be conscious and remind him we have many more that can keep us contented and busy glorifying and praising God.
A contented person will always be aware of the fact that he is a son of the Father and be led by the Spirit of the Father.Romans 8:14 says"because those who are led by the spirit of God are sons of God".Those who are led by their emotions and feelings in the midst of challenges are denying their sonship, they are selling their birth right.
Have you ever thought why will God send Elisha to the house of a well to do woman known as the shunammite woman in 2Kings 4 rather than sending him to the house of a poor angry and bitter person?the bible refers to her as a well-to-do woman ,not as a BARREN woman.Emphasis is not on her problem rather on her blessings.Her attitude of contentment made her to magnify her blessings rather than her troubles.Who told us bitterness,self pity ,annoyance,hostility will draw Gods attention to us in the midst of challenges?Contentment will always keep praise and thanksgiving on your lips and God dwells in the midst of the praises of his people.No wonder Elisha was sent to this CONTENTED and WELL-TO-DO barren WOMAN.She had so much minimized her trouble problem or need that it did not succeed in placing the label BARREN upon her life.She chose a label for herself "ALL RIGHT WOMAN".That confession ALL RIGHT has been her Label from the day she decided to ignore and look down on her state of barrenness.She ignored it and that drew God's attention to her problem. No wonder she was so quiet even when her miracle child died !!She knew the label she has chosen and given to herself:ALL RIGHT WOMAN. She had learn long ahead of time to trust the Lord in an attitude of calm and quietness.Whatever trouble you ignore and despise to be contented on Gods work over your life will attract Gods attention.
FEAR NOT,TRUST IN THE LORD WILL ALL YOUR HEART AND LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN WISDOM.
BE STILL AND KNOW THAT THE GOD IS THE LORD

All praises and honot to Him

!waht a Great Word!!! Quite awesome indeed!!! Yes, woman of God; the Lord does require us to have quiet, grateful contented spirits and attitudes, in the midst of the storm. In times when He seems all too quiet, and not speaking or leading [Israel heard not from God for 400 years, yet Moses was being prepared, without the people knowing].... He is still moving.
In restrospect God cannot speak to a troubled, contrary spirit, wehn christains vascillating back and forth in Him, or doubt His Word...

Thanks for sharing, from the heart and mind of God...
May He contince to use you mightily, to teach, inspire, and declare His truth, in the midst of fierce winds, to comfort and still, disturbed and troubled souls.
