The Prophets Blog; Prophet Ken Cox “The NOW Generation”

Greetings . There is much to share with you. First let me thank you all for your comments and responses! I appreciate the fact that you are honest as you share your innermost feelings. We all grow stronger and wiser as we seek God to solve our mysteries of life. I've noticed especially in the past year two distinct types of people in ministry, in business, and in life in general. Let me introduce what I will refer to as "The I'm Gonna" Generation and I will debate this with what I will call "The Now Generation". There are merits to both side of this discussion and it is my assignment to help you see each side for what it is and make definite overtures to the Generation that will prosper your life. Some one as you read this is depending on you, wether it be a child, spouse, friend, church member or even yes you, as you depend on you. You simply can't afford to make the same un-prosperous decisions anymore. Join me as we focus on the Proper Generation that you need to align yourself with.

Lets define the two Generations so we all will know who is who! This will help every reader understand the differences in these types of individuals.

The "I'm Gonna Generation" Person; This is the type of person who is like the wind. They will go which way the wind blows. Their allegiance is only to the moment, not the mission. This is a person that will tell you "I Got You", but will leave you with only the "I", and the "Got You" becomes a non factor. This person loves to point fingers only at others, especially when they are the source of the malfunction.

"The Now Generation" Person; This is a communicator, they understand a mission, a mandate, they are only moved by a Move of God, not what they see. This person will not play the game of "ghost"; they will follow through and exhibit courage in tough times, character in hard times, and strive to build others, even as they build themselves. They will not hide behind denominational doctrine or made up protocol, known only to them.

By now many of you probably have decided that you want to be a part of the Now Generation. I really don't blame you, I think we all start out that way, but let's look at ourselves and then decide. We all love and crave "Favor" in our lives, but what does it cost us in our pursuit?

The Favor you decide to pursue and protect is the key to what type of person you become. You can be a "I'm gonna" or you can be of "The Now Generation". The power of Favor will allow you to showcase your talents, because it will be a result of who and what you honor. The "I'm gonna" honors the moment, while "The Now Generation" honors the giver (who is God) of the moment.

As I studied this concept, through experience, revelation, and God's Word, I found something out that few may ever understand. That is we expect people to come to us as finished products! We get saved and work our ministries and expect everyone to be walking on our "so called" level of Excellence. The problem is that many of us are not finished our selves and while we want to be a part of the Now Generation, the reality is that many of us are still in the "I'm Gonna Generation".

Let me give an example of the way we operate not only in the body of Christ, but in the secular world. Let's take an open honest look at ourselves and see do we like what we see?

We come into agreement on a issue, everyone concerned leaves with an understanding but something happens. Party A has issues they failed to mention to Party B & Party C. The agreement falls apart, Party A does not notify Party B nor Party C; Party A simply allows the situation to fall apart and then can't understand why Parties B & C are upset. What do we have here? I will go out on a limb and say Party A is of the "I'm gonna Generation". Parties

B & C are in the Now Generation by default. There is not enough information here to see what would have happened if B & C had issues. One thing is for sure Party A has a responsibility to notify the others (Parties B & C ). What happened here? Like most of us, when we have issues we feel we need to keep them hid, and allow everything else to fall apart. Why? So we can save face. Does this sound familiar?

The Now Generation example would have the same agreement, but when the issue arose Party A would of had enough respect for Party B & C to notify them either at the time of the agreement or when the issue was seen as a deterrent to the agreement. Who would you rather deal with, if you had a choice? The answer here is obvious. Many times we don't have the choice, we have to find out by trial and error. Yes even the most Anointed have their moments as they must wade through the grabble of "I'm gonna" verses "The Now Generation". I wish I could count the times over the past year alone, that leaders have expressed this to me personally. I can see their disgust, because we should expect Men & Woman of God to walk in their respective office of gifting and identification. While this may be a lost art in this day and time, I do know we can control ourselves individually. I (we) can control who, whom and the where in my (our) life(s).

Many times we lost touch with each other because we elevate our own importance. We refuse to see our self as a candidate for improvement. We only see the finished product, which is our perception. Our perception belongs to us, it will interact with what ever it is fed. Our perception is like DNA, it is changed by interaction, but remains the same. The habits of one generation become the addiction of another generation. Prophet, what are you saying? I'm saying that the unfruitful habits you have as a leader are passed to who you mentor. They now have to make a choice, whether to accept it or not, once they realize it.

Lets now talk about the "Saul Anointing". What's clear is we all have to deal with the "I'm gonna's" in our lives. What has not been clear is how we move away from this to the "Now Generation" movement. This is God's way. The Bible says "Now Faith", is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of unseen things. This is for a people who will operate in the "Now Generation". God's Anointing clearly is in "The NOW GENERATION". While we see many people operate in the "I'm gonna" that are Anointed, their flaws often overtake the view of the Anointing. I refer to it as the "Saul Anointing" Saul was highly anointed, make no mistake about it, but his jealously (bad habit, bad spirit, bad DNA) shoned brighter than anything else in his life. David repeatedly said that "I will not touch the Lord's Anointed". He saw who "Saul was just as you and I have to see the "Saul Anointing" and learn how to deal with in, yes even in the Body of Christ.

Where does this leave us? We have a decision to make, how will you conduct your ministry, your life, your business? People will always judge by the title, the perception, but what comes out of your mouth is key. In the world we often spoke of writing a check , we can't cash. Let us strive to move away from the "Hot Air Anointing of the I'm gonna Generation and move to the Now Generation of Leaders, who God has called to do a work.

The Now Generation person will not be a person who always fumbles, talks in riddles and can never follow through. This is not someone you can build a ministry with. The Now Generation person will be direct, organized, and most of all flexible to do the Will of God. The Now Generation person will be focused, mission driven, not looking to sound big, but looking to do big things in God, no matter how large or small they appear. This person will be up for the "good fight, not full of "hot air".

We all know people who are in the "I'm Gonna" Generation, they mean well, but they allow situations around them to dominate them constantly. This causes them to be poor communicators, finger pointers, and retreat in their shells when confronted, or simply asked why and how did this happen? The I'm Gonna Generation person becomes defensive when held accountable, yes even to their own word. "It is what it is, my friend".

My friend you know better, so you are now challenged to do better. We can no longer tolerate double talk, in our choices. We make bad choices and don't want to take responsibility. As a Prophet of God, I prophesy to you that when your choices line up with the Word of God, which is the will of God, you will come out of your mess, ("I'm gonna Generation") into the "Now Generation of God" purpose for your life today!" God will move that quick! Try and see!

Thank you so much for allowing me to share this Word, many of your are celebrating the Holidays now and we are also. We should never forget that God has blessed us all and we must understand that the wheat and tares grow together, for a reason, and yes for a season.
