Many years ago, about 15 years, there was much talk about a shifting that was about to start by the hand of God. That was a true and real word. Sometimes it takes a long season before what happens spiritually manifest naturally. Have you ever asked yourself why, wickedness has accelrated and it seems that the greatness of God seems to be lagging or manifesting itself very slowly?

Anytime God speaks a word of what He is about to do, the devil perks up and begins to move in an attempt to discourage the faith of God's children, (Peter walking on the water...). Does that mean that God is not moving when we don't see His manifest hand? No, not all. Thats why we are called to walk the walk of faith.

The shifting that was talked about years ago is beginning to show forth. About 4 years ago, Kenneth Copeland shared a prophetic word that Black America was about to be placed in positions of leadership that White America has dominated and sometimes improperly used to the dismay of God.

Now God is raising up many people of different cultures and races that are not of the caucasion persuasion. What we need to do now, especially within the Black Church is to become true hearers, students and disciples of truth. We must become focused upon learning and practicing the principles of life within the Bible. Sadly, many in the Black community, Pastors included have been more interested in entertaining people rather than empowering them so that they will develop the faith, wisdom and understanding to walk in bold and courageous faith.

Although there are wnd will be positive outcomes because of this shifting, we must also realize that there will be some negative outcomes also. Many in the body of Christ, and yes Pastors, Church leaders and members who have been in the church many years and have heard the voice of God to obey in particular personal and professional areas but have not will begin to be disciplined like never before by the hand of God, some will be removed from positions of ledaership and authority and others sadly God will call home before His desired time for them.

God hates sin!! Even as I write this, I realize that I must stay before God daily praying for strength to do right, and a heart to be right so that I can please Him who called me.

Church, God is giving us a wake up call. If we would just open our eyes and see. We will recognize what God is saying and begin to obey Him like never before. My prayer for the body of Christ is that we will stop devouring each other, humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God, recognize that we need each other and that as we come together in love and unity, we can rise in our rightful authority in the earth and place Satan in his place, UNDER OUR FEET.

Amen Amen Amen Amen! Thank you Minister Tracy, that's what I would have said, if I had been able to say it, LOL..

I agree with all you said. This is an issue in the Body of Christ.
TEACH God's people "BY WHATEVER HOLY MEANS NECESSARY!”

Sister Vernah, you said:

Too many Wednesday nights are spent in churches with just the faithful few, listening to teachers who don’t even make room for questions, less they can’t get through sections C., D., and E.

Oh my! Keep it coming! I have been saying this for YEARS! But people think I am saying that we should "entertain" folks. NO... that is NOT what I have been trying to communicate. I'm saying TEACH!!!... TEACH!!!! Sunday School "hour" aint getting it. Bible study needs to be BIBLE STUDY... not just another mid-week service. We were talking about home churches on some other discussions. We are so busy trying to "set the atmosphere" so God can "show up and show out" when what Jesus wants is for you to sit at His feet and learn. Ask questions. Ask and you shall receive answers!!!! Dig into God's word. Don't leave the people will a multitude of cute Christian slogans that are theologically incorrect so they can walk away and say, "ooo the pastor sure did preach today" just because things rhymed and sounded good. And no I do not mean not use rhyme or aliteration to make a point. I'm saying FEED the sheep, don't just give them crumbs!!!

I get so upset when church is like some show and there is no TEACHING in it. Just a good feeling.

Peter do you love me... then FEED MY SHEEP!!!!
Pastor's do you love Him... then FEED His sheep. Take them to various pastures where they can graze. If you find that a member is not getting what they need from you, don't be afraid to admit it and either "step up your game", increase your knowledge or send them some place where they can be fed what they need.

Don't be afraid to send "your" member somewhere else. Some plant, some water but it is God of gives the increase. If your church is one that has an anointing to only "plant" the seed of the word but a member is at the stage of needing water, then send them where they can be watered. Stop hording people! Do whatever needs to be done to benefit the Body of Christ, not just your four walls.

When people ask me to recommend a church for them to attend, I don't recommend a church across town if there is one on their side that they can attend near them that can meet their needs. MY church isn't the only church in town LOL. MY pastor isn't the only pastor in town who can preach or teach. Meet their need not YOUR need to bring someone because it is "each one reach one" Sunday.

Pastor Michael Samuels wrote;

"Empowering them so that they will develop the faith, wisdom and understanding to walk in bold and courageous faith"

Once again I am awed by what God is saying to His people who have ears to hear. I believe in my heart that the above quote is the cry of lay members everywhere, those who have a heart and a hunger for God. It is indeed time for us to show up, stand up, and receive our marching orders. Yet we (lay members) are reporting for duty (albeit only a handful) but there is no training, at least not in the majority of our churches. Not all of us are just there out of habit or ritual. Not all of us are there to criticize and cause trouble. There will always be a Sister Busybody and a Brother Rundashow, and when it comes to the work of the Church they will always be the Mr. and Mrs. DoNothin'
So look for us, the hungry ones to move to the front line expecting Leadership to teach us and empower us to teach others. If your folk won’t come to Bible Study ask why! Maybe there is nothing exciting about the class that would cause folk to press their way. The Word is relevant straight out of the bible, but teachers need to be excited and fired up about this living Word. Jesus was the most creative teacher going. Too many Wednesday nights are spent in churches with just the faithful few, listening to teachers who don’t even make room for questions, less they can’t get through sections C., D., and E.
God help us all indeed!

I pray with you Sister Micah, for a mighty move of God.

As the Church is locked in the grip of tradition, organization, denominational splits, doctrinal disagreements, racial splits, Burger King theology, popcorn ministries with pastors who are unschooled and untrained, minds and hearts have been left splintered, divided and weakened barely surviving with burnout leaders. Many have heard the Call but the threat of standing alone and for Truth is unpopular and unfashionable. It will take a mighty move of God to shake the Church loose from its ingrained man-made religious hiearchies, idols, forms, rituals......

God help us all
