Bro. Pierce and Moreh,

CHRISTIANS’ FAITH DOES NOT COME FROM THE BLIND AND BURDENSOME TORAH

TORAH IS GOOD FOR THOSE WHO STILL LIVE UNDER THE LAW

”Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God”.

Romans 3:19

I've read Duet 30:11

Now, let us read 1 John 5:3-5:

"This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, 4for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God".

1- The victory that has overcome the world is OUR FAITH

2-Who is it that overcomes the world? ONLY HE WHO BELIEVES THAT JESUS IS THE SON OF GOD

The commands of Jesus are not the Torah!

The commands of Jesus are not burdensome

However, the Torah is burdensome. Indeed, It is a yoke that neither the disciples nor our fathers have been able to bear:

« Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of the disciples a yoke that neither we nor our fathers have been able to bear? No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are."

Acts 15:10-11

Amen!

WE BELIEVE IT IS THROUGH THE GRACE OF OUR LORD JESUS THAT WE ARE SAVED

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast”.

Ephesians 2:8-9

Besides, the grace is not a license to sin (Titus 2:11-14; 1 John 3:9).

THE VICTORY THAT HAS OVERCOME THE WORLD IS OUR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST!

Amen!

But what is FAITH?

“Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ”.

Romans 10:17

THE FAITH VICTORY OF WHICH HAS OVERCOME THE WORLD COMES FROM HEARING THE MESSAGE, AND THE MESSAGE IS HEARD THROUGH THE WORD OF CHRIST.

Jesus said:

“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled”.

Matthew 5:17-18

Jesus did not come to destroy the law, or the prophets, but why did the Jews accuse Him to have broken the Sabbath?

Why?

Jesus does not nullify the law given by Moses, but He transcends it by bringing it to its fullness.

“For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth”.

Romans 10:4

Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

Galatians 6:2

God's perfect law is the Law of Christ. Amen!

The Law of Christ is " 'LOVE the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'LOVE your neighbor as yourself"

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law? Jesus replied: " 'LOVE the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'LOVE your neighbor as yourself.'

Matthew 22:36-39

If we obey those two commands, we will be fulfilling all that Christ requires of us, “All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments” (Matthew 22:40).

“And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness”.

Colosians 3:14

This does not mean the Old Testament Law is irrelevant today. Many of the commands in the Old Testament Law fall into the categories of “loving God” and “loving your neighbor.

Obviously, if we are loving God we will not be worshipping false gods or bowing down before idols. If we are loving our neighbors, we will not be murdering them, lying to them, committing adultery against them, or coveting what belongs to them or stealing and so on.

Christians live under the law of Christ.

What is the law of the new faith of the Gentiles who come to Christ?

The law of their new faith is the law of Christ.

And that law states that man is not justified by observing the law of Moses, but by faith in Jesus Christ(Galatians 2:15-16).

This was the preaching of Brother Paul every Sabbath in the synagogue.

The law is not abolished But Jesus came to perfect the law, because the law can not save anybody:

“For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Romans 5:19-21

The grace is higher than the law.

It’s not because we live under the grace that we owe to sin more, No!

It’s not because we live under the grace that we are lawless, No!

On the contrary the grace “… teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope -the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.”

Titus 2:12-14

"Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God".

1 John 3:9

Don’t you know that the grace is more requiring than the Law?

"Why then," they asked, "did Moses command that a man give his wife a certificate of divorce and send her away?"
Jesus replied, "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery."
The disciples said to him, "If this is the situation between a husband and wife, it is better not to marry."
Jesus replied, "Not everyone can accept this word, but only those to whom it has been given. For some are eunuchs because they were born that way; others were made that way by men; and others have renounced marriage because of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it."

Matthew 19:7-12

Jesus said:

"You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery. But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

Matthew 5:27-28

THE TORAH IS BLIND:

The law of Moses is blind and intransigent but the grace through Jesus Christ forgives.

“The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, "Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?" They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her." Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?"
"No one, sir," she said. "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin."

John 8:3-11

Through the Grace God justifies freely the sinner who repents (Romans 2:24-25).

“But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life”.

Titus 3:4-7

The grace and the truth came through Jesus Christ: “

« For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”

John 1:17

The grace accompanies the believer during his life (1 Corinthians 15:10, 2 Corinthians 12:9) and He can be strengthened in it :

“You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.”

2 Timothy 2: 1

Such a believer who walks in the grace of Jesus-Christ cannot walk any more according to the law .

But what kind of law am I talking about here?

I’m talking about the law in the sense of principle of works (with allusion to the Mosaic Law) which is in contrast with the grace (Romans 2: 12-29, Romans 3: 19-31).

Thus, the gentile believers need not observe the Sabbath and the ritual ceremonies prescribed by Moses.

When John said that: “Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness (1 John 3:4)”, he did not refer to the customs taught by Moses (Acts 15: 1-21).

Consequently, the non-observance of the Sabbath by a gentile believer could not constitute the breaking of the law about which John spoke.

John referred to the law of the faith, to the truth of the faith:

“Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith ».

Romans 3:27

“If you point these things out to the brothers, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, brought up in the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed.”

1 Timothy 4:6

This law can never be abolished, since the Word of God can not be abolished.

But what is the faith like?

« Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.”

Romans 10:17

Any thing will pass but the word of God will not pass. Ritual laws prescribed by Moses are no longer in force for the gentile believers. They are abolished for those who live under the grace. But the law of the faith which takes its source in the Word of Christ will never be abolished.

“Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.”

Jude 1:3

Gentile believers live under the GRACE.

Hebrew Israelites keep the Sabbath because they still live under the LAW.

There are two different dispensations. Paul didn’t destroy THE LAW OF GOD though.

But he said that “no one will be declared righteous in His sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin”.

He said that we “ all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus”

He said that “a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law.”

This doesn’t mean that we nullify the LAW OF GOD by this faith.

Please listen carefully to Paul:

“Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin”.

Righteousness Through Faith

But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished - he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
Where, then, is boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but on that of faith. For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law. Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law. »

Romans 3:19-31

Hebrew Israelites still live UNDER THE LAW and do observe the Sabbath (whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law).

But the gentiles are free in Jesus-Christ, they live BY GRACE and they are justified BY FAITH.

Jesus-Christ did ask His disciples to go towards the lost sheep of Israel (Matthew 10:6) towards which Himself was sent (Matthew 15:24, Acts 13:23).

However, during the time of THE GRACE, Israel is partially hardened with the message of the Gospel, but later all true Israel will be saved. If you are really a true Hebrew Israelite, then you are my brother. Amen!

The true Israelites, the remnant will Be Saved:

“I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:
"The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. And this is my covenant with them when I take away their sins. As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies on your account; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, for God's gifts and his call are irrevocable. Just as you who were at one time disobedient to God have now received mercy as a result of their disobedience, so they too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of God's mercy to you. For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.”

Romans 11:25-32

OUR FAITH DOES NOT COME FROM THE BLIND AND BURDENSOME TORAH

TORAH IS GOOD FOR THOSE WHO STILL LIVE UNDER THE LAW

”Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God”.

Romans 3:19

« He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

Brotherozell adams,

I realize that you need to be taught.

Indeed to "endure unto the end" means to "stand firm".

Let us read the Holy scriptures:

“All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved”.

Matthew 10:22

Our Lord was addressing His Disciples.

We have to stand firm or to endure because all men will hate us because of Him.

Salvation is a gift.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”.

Romans 6:23

According to you what is a gift?

If it is on the basis of your merit that you are saved, then salvation is no longer a gift.

In addition, God would have given His only begotten Son in vain (John 3:16)?

Salvation is a gift of God; it does not depend on your own good works.

It is by grace that we have been saved, through faith. This not from ourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9

If someone is really saved he/she will bear good fruits for a good tree bears good fruits.

Indeed, the Bible declares:

“Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them”.

Matthew 7:20

First, we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and then the consequence of that is the good works for “faith without deeds is useless”. Good works are faith expressed.

This is the reason why I fully agree with the following biblical verses you've quoted:

James 2:20: "But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?"

James 2:26 "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also".

There is no contradiction in the Bible. Brother James and Brother Paul had the same Spirit and they taught the same truth.

Salvation is a gift of God.

Those who are saved should produce good works. Not the works according to their own opinion or theology, but as God's workmanships, created in Christ Jesus, they should do good works, which God prepared in advance for them to do. Amen!

Brother, what you call good works according to your theology may not seem good to God (1 Corinthians 13: 1-3, Isaiah 58).

"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do".

Ephesians 2:10

Indeed, those who are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus and do good works according to God’s will should stand firm or endure because all men will hate them because of Jesus Christ.

To "endure unto the end" means to "stand firm".

They do not endure in order to be saved, but they endure because they are saved.

“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

1 Peter 5:8-9

Those who are saved are asked to resist the devil, standing firm in the faith because the Bible says:

“If a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits sin, he will die for it; because of the sin he has committed he will die. 27 But if a wicked man turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he will save his life. 28 Because he considers all the offenses he has committed and turns away from them, he will surely live; he will not die”.

Ezekiel 18: 26-28

However, if someone truly believes in Jesus Christ, she/he will never give up, no matter the troubles or problems she/he meets in his/her life.

Yes, him who is truly holy will continue to be holy till the end of his life on Earth.

“Let him who does wrong continue to do wrong; let him who is vile continue to be vile; let him who does right continue to do right; and let him who is holy continue to be holy."

Revelation 22:11

Likewise, him who is truly saved will continue to be saved till the end of his life.

Those who are truly saved by faith and do good works according to God’s will will always stand firm or endure till death.

They are saved by faith, and they always endure or stand firm in faith. They resist the Devil till death.

If you are not saved first by Jesus Christ by faith, how can you manage to stand firm or resist to the devil?

Indeed, the Bible declares:

“Such confidence as this is ours through Christ before God. Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God”.

2 Corinthians 3: 4-5

This is the truth!

Can a man deserve salvation? No, it is a gift of God!

“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us”.

Romans 5:8

Can you your own works save you?

No!

Our competence comes from God!

First, we are saved by grace through faith, then God Himself gives us the spiritual armor in order to stand firm, to resist the devil till the end of our life.

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints”.

Ephesians 6: 10-18

Yes, Our competence comes from God!

” for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous”.

“I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread”.

Psalm 37: 17; 25

“ A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all”

Psalm 34:19

Amen! Amen! Amen!

Where is our merit? Nowhere!

Jesus Christ is all for us.

“I can do everything through him who gives me strength”

Philippians 4:13

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me”.

Galatians 2:20

Yes, Our competence comes from God!

Yes, Our competence comes from Jesus Christ! Amen!

Now, brother ozell adams , let me show you something:

The Bible declares:

“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession-to the praise of his glory”.

Ephesians 1: 13-14

"...Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession..."

If you truly believe in Jesus Christ and you are marked with a seal, namely the Holy Spirit, you are saved forever, you can never lose salvation.

Why?

Simply because the Holy Spirit is a deposit guarantee of your inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession.

UNTIL THE REDEMPTION!

Amen! Amen! Amen

This is the truth!

Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you have believed?

If yes, then the Bibles says that you are saved forever!

“And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption”.

Ephesians 4:30

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."

Revelation 3:22

Acts 15:10-11

Do you understand MATTHEW 7: 21-23 well ?

What is the will of the Father of Jesus Christ who is in heaven?

We must let Jesus Christ Himself answer this question:

"For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."

John 6:40

Is Jesus Christ speaking about Torah keeping here?

Brother ozell adams ,

Please explain me the following phrase:

"THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH"

TO LIVE........BY FAITH. What does it mean?

"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God"

Ephesians 2:8

To be saved by grace through faith, what does it mean?

The Bible says that we are SAVED by grace, however you teach that "your soul is not saved as soon as you start to believe on Jesus, salvation is works in progress, not a one step solution"

It's time you stop your false teachings! Enough is enough!

Please, read Romans 8: 1 - 39, 1 John 3 : 9, Hebrews 10 :1- 39, 1 John 5:12, 20 and so on.

A true Christian will never deliberately keep on sinning after he has received the knowledge of the truth. This one is a Just, a Saint.

He lives by faith. He is saved not because of his own deeds, but because he believes in Jesus Christ, the Redeemer, the Savior.

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not live according to the sinful nature but according to the Spirit"

Romans 8:1

Brother, your good deeds can never save you.

Good works are faith expressed.

First we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, then the consequence of that is the good works.

We are saved before, then we are able to do good works.

Please, search and read my message entitled:" Good works are faith expressed".

Salvation is not works in progress, but God has already prepared good works in advance for us:

"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do".

Ephesians 2:10

"He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life".

1 John 5:12

May God enlighten you!

Have a good week-end!

See you next week!

Brother Pierce,

Do you see the TORAH in Matthew 7:21-23?

I realize that Torah keepers usually quote Matthew 7:21-23 with a view to frigthen the born again believers in Christ.

Let us see closely this biblical passage:

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

Matthew 7:21-23

Brother Pierce do you truly know the will of the Father of Jesus Christ who is in heaven?

What is the will of the Father of Jesus Christ who is in heaven?

Who is the Father of Jesus Christ?

Who is Jesus Christ ?

Who is speaking in Matthew 7:21-23?

Moses? No!

Jesus? Yes!

Was Jesus Christ speaking about Torah keeping? No!

Jesus was speaking about EVILDOERS?

Those who don't do the will of His Father Who is in heaven are EVILDOERS?

Now, please, explain me this:

How can one become an EVILDOER or a lawless one if she or he follows thoroughly the law of Christ?

Indeed, the Bible declares:

"What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; but Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it. Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the "stumbling stone." As it is written: "See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame”.

Romans 9:30-33

THROUGH JESUS CHRIST EVERYONE WHO BELIEVES IS JUSTIFIED FROM EVERYTHING WE COULD NOT BE JUSTIFIED FROM BY THE LAW OF MOSES.

Amen!

THE FAITH VICTORY OF WHICH HAS OVERCOME THE WORLD COMES FROM HEARING THE MESSAGE, AND THE MESSAGE IS HEARD THROUGH THE WORD OF CHRIST.

Brother Pierce, you are talking about OBEDIENCE.

Obedience to the Torah or obedience toward the law of Christ?

Let me tell you that through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

Yes, through the obedience of Jesus-Christ the many will be made righteous.

So, how can Jesus Christ call those who have been made righteous through His obedience EVILDOERS?

I wonder!

May God open the eyes of all the zealous for the law of Moses!

« He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

Brother Eric Hancock,

I'm still waiting for your answer on Christians and Oral sex.

Besides, no one has said that Torah is not a true book.

Of course, Torah is a true book, even a very good book for the zealous for the Law, the sabbath keepers, those who still live under the law and so on.

If Bro. Paul were here he would have told you this:

“You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Before your very eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed as crucified. 2I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by observing the law, or by believing what you heard? 3Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort? 4Have you suffered so much for nothing—if it really was for nothing? 5Does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you because you observe the law, or because you believe what you heard?”

Galatians 3:1-5

Yes, “You foolish Torah keepers!

You foolish Sabbath keepers!

You foolish zealous for the law!

Who has bewitched you?

Please, tell me!
