Also, remember that God's word says, He (God) will not share His glory with another; anything that brings glory to Christ, brings glory to God. Therefore, how can we who are called according to His purposes continue to share HIS glory with Santa. Saints we must also remember that words truly do mean something. If they did not, the word of God would not teach us that "THE POWER OF BOTH LIFE AND DEATH LIE WITHIN THE TONGUE;" it also informs us that we can murder with our tongue. With that being said, here is something that I was taught in the first grade (back in the EARLY '70's). When Santa is rearranged, there is one very important word that is found there: SATAN. How clever is the enemy? He has made it EXTREMELY easy for us to discover his deception, but many of us have chosen to remain ignorant (a state of lacking knowledge). Let he who desire wisdom and knowledge therefore aquire it. He who desires it not abhors it. If we desire to PLEASE God with all that we do and say, we will seek truth and embrace it; we will stop celebrating with the heathen and allow EVERY day to be celebrated with both the life and death of our risen Savior.

Found it on BPN. I don't do the Christmas tree and Santa by choice, but this was some good information. Who will hear and accept it? Hmmm, we are such creatures of habit, that we resist knowledge when it threatens our way of life of something we do which is traditional. Even Halloween, the arguments are "we all grew it with this and it didn't hurt us" even though they understand that as your learn you must adapt and make the change for the better. It's something. Well, while we see the many - professing Christians and non-Christians - who are celebrating Christmas, even despite the availability of all of this well-researched information on the pagan origin of Christmas, let us be heartened that in every generation our Lord Jesus Christ has always reserved for Himself and to honour Him a people, generally a remant, who have not bowed to the culture of Baal and Babylon. May God bless you for the efforts in enlightening those who walk in darkness. And let us at the same time bring this enlightenment in the Christ-spirit of meekness and mercy, knowing that we who walk in the light do so not by any inherent intelligence on our part but by the grace of God who brought us from darkness into light to honour Him and be a light to those in darkness.
