The Prophet's Faith
Habakkuk 3:17-19

Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls YET I WILL REJOICE IN THE LORD; I will joy in the God of my Salvation. The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer's feet, and He will make me walk on my high hills.
Crop failure and the death of flocks would devastate Judah (God's people), but the Prophet Habakkuk affirmed that in the midst of starvation, troubles, lack, want and need, he would still rejoice in the Lord, (we too can have faith like the Prophet Habakkuk). The Prophets feelings were not controlled by the events around him, but by faith in God's ability to give him strength (we cannot look at the events around us that's not faith we walk by faith not by sight) when nothing makes sense and when troubles seem more than you can bear, remember that God gives us strength through faith in Christ Jesus. We need to take our eyes off all of our difficulties and troubles and what we don't have, we need to take our eyes off of our lacks, our wants, and our needs because with faith in Christ Jesus we don't have lack or want in our life; the Lord our God will supply all of our need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus when we look to God and have faith like Him.

God will give His people God-like faith in His word that when faith hears the living word they will be surefooted and have great confidence in His word through difficult times in their lives. They will run like deer’s across rough and dangerous terrain. At the proper time, we have limitations, but our God is alive and in control of the world and its events. We cannot see all that God is doing, and we cannot see all that God will do, but we can be assured that He is God and He will do what is right. Knowing this should bring us confidence and faith and hope in the midst of a confusing world.

Be at Peace God Knows All Things.
Prophet Daniel Powell Sr.
