THIN WINE SKINS
One of the key focuses and foundational references, and truths of the Apostolic Domain, and the Prophetic Parameters, is the central point of "NEW WINE, and "NEW WINE SKINS". This spiritual concept and principle is extremely relevant and paramount to the advancing of the kingdom of Heaven, and the processing, equipping,and revealing of Christ's Church and the Bride. It is also detrimental to the grounding, anchoring and establishment of God's people in the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God, so that they can effectively "attain the prize" of a place in God's eternal kingdom. The "old wine" represents a former Church age or dispensation, and it also symbolizes legalism and tradition. Although the "old wine" and wine skins did a work of introducing the Church,and establishing it, pointing to Christ as Lord and Saviour, they also gave way to a multitude of man-made doctrine, contrary to the theology of God, failed to submit to the Theocracy of God, and diluted the inherent power of the Holy Ghost. Yes, they promoted Christ as Saviour, but they denied and rejected Him in the fullness,of the reality of the "charismatic" gifts of the Spirit, and they rejected Him as a present day, right now, "Healer and consistent Miracle Worker". The "old wine" regime, was basically not "kingdom minded" in their outlook, and nor were they kingdom dependent in their Church growth, or kingdom governed in their outreach. They had a "form of Godliness, but denied the power thereof"! They were ever learning (the law and a host of "can't do's, and assigning people to hell, based on the lack of adherence of their own carnal "disciplines") but never coming to the knowledge of the Truth, while serving and worshipping the "unknown God"! They erred in trying to establish personal empires, as opposed to furthering the kingdom of God, and they became "rulers" in and of themselves, as they led the people of God by constraint.
The old " wine skins", and the "old wine" did much to prepare the way for Christ to be manifest in these last days but they were unable to grasp the fact that He, yet, has His hand stretched out, operating in the Full Gospel, working signs wonders, and greater works, with all manner of latter day Holy Ghost expressions of worship, and service, through the ascended gifts of His 5-fold ministry! The old wine skins "cracked" and began to contaminate, pollute, dilute, and make "rancid" the wine, with the wine being a type of God's Word, Doctrine, and the blood of Jesus. The "old wine skins" lost their impactability, and margin of favor, when they decided to exalt their own self serving denominational doctrines, and legalistic tenets ,that became charismatic witchcraft in many cases, and led the people by constraint, putting them under bondage and quenching the Spirit of God! Under the "old wine skins" the people of the congregation, deacons, trustees, Church Mothers,etc. pretty much "ran" the Church and made all the decisions, which was/is considered to be a perverted administration of the House of God, and this is why those who still function in that manner, are extremely resistant, and even hostile towards the "new wine" which promotes theocracy, submission, order, and holiness. The "new wine", is being manifest as the pure unadulterated, repentance evoking, revival provoking, brokenness and reverence compelling "latter day truths, and mandates" which reveals Christ, His Church and His kingdom. The "new wine" dares not waste time on church politics, or the corruptible things of this world because the "new wine skins" recognize the urgency of the hour, and that there's but a short time to bring the household of faith into proper realignment, and it's intended kingdom functioning. This "new wine" even speaks another "language", and Christ is at the very core of all that it does, and it does not tax the people of God to support it, but rather it commands kingdom decrees and declarations, and espouses a whole 'nother dimension of faith and taking the kingdom and it's promises by force! The "new wine" doesn't beg the devil, whine, "wish", or act passively, but it is militant, and strategically offensive AND defensive in engaging the adversary in battle.
As I researched the process of wine making, I found that WINE WASN'T ALWAYS WINE!, but it started out as ordinary "grapes", that had to come to their full season of maturity, and set time to be harvested/chosen, crushed, stomped on, and fermented (seasoned), because if the grapes weren't mature and properly processed, if they went before their time, their taste, flavor, and purpose would be wasted, rejected, and it would "set on edge" vex, frustrate, alienate, dishearten, disillusion, and potentially make someone sick in their faith and journey with God! The same truths applied to the "wine skins" that bore the wine, in it's season. These wine skins were stripped from animals, that had to DIE, for this to work, and all openings of the animal's hide were tied and sealed off,except the one opening that was needed for the wine to be pured out, and to be poured in. After this, the skins were "smoked, "tanned, hung to dry, and then they were approved and qualified to receive the precious fruit of the "new wine''. The spiritual parallel here is obvious because, yes, if you're to be trusted with the mysteries of the Gospel, the revelation of Jesus Christ, and the Sword of the Word, you are going to "die" to the flesh ,one way or the other, you're going to be stripped, and all of "you" that won't work to the glory of God, shall be "tied off" and cut off. Yes, you're going to have to endure the furnace of affliction , or be passed through the fire, and the Lord is going to allow tribulation to process you, so that you might be commissioned to bear this awesome, sobering, and life-altering "new wine", or else this wine is going to taste and smell too much like YOU. Old wine skins were never used, if it could be helped, and they were usually discarded, because as they aged, the skins began to get hard and crack, and it was just a matter of time before they burst, spilling their contents, and nobody wants "spilled wine" all over their "carpet" or clothing.
Neither do men put new wine into old bottles(skins): else the bottles break and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish" but put the "new wine" into new bottles, and both are preserved!" The Scriptures declare "Be ye HOLY that bear the vessels of the Lord", and it also states "We have this treasure in EARTHEN VESSELS, (wine skins), but the excellency of the POWER (new wine) is of God and not of ourselves! It stands to reason that if the "wine" has to be "seasoned", and wait for it's due season, so that it can be effective, received, applied, and be health to the bones of men, then so must the :wine skins or vessels. The "wine" of God's Word was "precious" in Samuel's time, and the Bible says how the "light' of the Word began to grow dim, and today,men have lost reverence and genuine appreciation for the gift of this "New wine" and the amazing power, over every thing in this world, that it affords the believer.This is partially due, to the errant behaviour of some present "wine skins", which God revealed to me as being "THIN" wine skins! These THIN wine skins positioned within the corporate body of Christ, were extended the "royal scepter" and "mega" platforms, only to bring great shame and a reproach upon the ministry of Jesus Christ, their offices, and the Body of Christ, because, underneath the veneer of humility, integrity, and being "sold out" to God, was underlying, pride, arrogance, greed, selfishness, and utter carnality, but more profoundly,there was no depth or "thickness". Thin wine skins, are immature, uncorrectable, unteachable, and unapproachable, and they have no real substance or substantiating conviction, to handle the Gospel, and it's revealed mysteries, skillfully, cautiously, or reverentially. Instead of reverencing, and guarding their content, they handle it like "Ripple" or "M.D. 20/20", instead of the milleniumly aged "fine" wine that it is! These "thin" wine skins are very superficial and they "break" under the pressure and weight of the very wine they have been charged to carry, and what's even more astounding is that often, when the thinness of their "skin" causes a break or puncture, it's not even "wine" that spills out, but just a little "fermented water, that "looks and "smells" like wine!. Thin wine skins can't survive a mere"scratch", lest only take a "gut punch" from the enemy, without the "seepage" or "leakage" of their precious contents, and therefore, the Word of the "new wine" falls to the ground, and becomes polluted and contaminated!.
THIN wine skins have great potential, if they would allow "He who has begun a good work in them to perform it ,until the day of Jesus Christ, and "abide in the vine", until the due season of God, because the same "new wine" that they preach and promote, will intoxicate them, and render them awkward and off balance if they are not properly processed to receive and maintain it. Their "thinness" causes them to "stretch" and become misshapen , and eventually they are so distorted, no one can easily identify them or their "contents". All "vessels/wine skins are not going to look alike,naturally or spiritually, and they are not all fashioned from the same thing. The natural wine skins were made from a diverse selection of animals; camels, goats, and oxen, each being a different size, of different dispositions, and natures, so they each had to be processed according to the makeup or substance of their particular "skins".The blessing is that the imperfections of the hide,only added
character" and uniqueness, but the "thickness" could not be compromised, because not only would you lose the actual vessel,but the "wine" that was within it's walls. The Word of God is about to become "rare" and "precious unto men again, and those "wine-skins" chosen to receive the latter day revelation of Jesus, the Christ, and bear the inherent truths of this "new wine" will be so thoroughly processed and proven, that they dare not handle the Sword of the Word, the "NEW WINE" and the glorious Gospel of Jesus, the Christ without reverence, and humility , and sobriety. Before you drink from everyone's "cup", take a moment to examine their "thickness", and "taste", "swirl", and sniff the "bouquet" of what they are offering you a "sip" of! Just because it's effervescent, with the proper "bubbles", and it makes you "high" doesn't mean you're drinking from the "NEW WINE", and as a matter of fact the NEW WINE will make you SOBER!
