WHAT DO YOU REALLY THINK ABOUT YOURSELF?

We (man) have an advantage over other species. We have the ability to think AND reason. This is not always true in the Animal Kingdom. Unfortunately, we tend to think more negative thoughts than we do positive ones. What we think is usually how we feel and how we feel always manifests in our actions.

Proverbs 23:7 says...

"For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee."

Truth is...

The thoughts that you have about "YOU" and your life and the things you meditate on conceerning your life have an affect on WHO / WHAT you are.

Our thoughts take us places. That could be in the realm of the "seen" or the realm of the "unseen".

The "seen" meaning what YOU can do on your own.
The "unseen" meaning the place that requires God's guidance and help to live the life that He has for you.

The realm of the seen is not ALWAYS a good place because it is too easy to fall victim to our own "self" delusion:

What do I mean?

We start believing things that are NOT of God!

We gain characteristics that are NOT good ones and are NOT Godly:

Vanity (Psalm 94:11)
Self Righteous (Obadiah 1:4)
Perfect/Holier than Thou / Self Exaltation (Luke 14:11)
Just to name a few...

Know this:

You CAN change how you view yourself!!

Why is that?

YOU ARE NOT IN THIS ALONE. GOD IS WITH YOU!!

Isaiah 41:10

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Now....what do you think about yourself?

Our thought should be scripturally based.(Phillippians 4:8.)

This is something that I am constantly overcoming because I tend to repress alot of things; but I am learning to pull off things people have said about me and to me over the years like a onion. I know that should be the least of my problems.

This supports the premise in my blog "Obliterate". We must rewind (renew) our mind and bring every thought captive to the word of God.
