A couple of decades ago, a very catchy slogan hit the cuntry, and upon initially hearing it, there was a stirring and a shifting in one's posture, approach and attitude about certain things in their lives, that being the saying;"IT'S ALL GOOD!" On a superficial and fleshly level, it was very accomodating, and allowed people to "dismiss" whatever negativity, offense, hurt, bad report ,or evil that came their way, and this was not necessarily a good thing, because that's what one's "mouth" said, but unless you dig beneath the surface of the flesh, and allow your emotions to be exposed so that you can receive deliverance, whatever you very casually and nionchalantly declared to be "good
festers into something that is very destrucrtive and bad! The practical facts are that there's no way possible, for everything to be "good"! It's not good when innocent children are beaten, raped and murdered! It's not "good" when someone is executed on death row, nor when a soul dies without the benefit of grace and salvation! It's not "good" when Church leaders are from one scandal to the next, falling faster than snowflakes, and HIV is ravaging our communities. The Lord was very specific and definitive in what He deemed to be "good". When He created the seas, He saw that it was "good". When He created the vegetation and herbs, He saw that it was "good"! When He divided the light from darkness, He saw that that was"good"! When He created the sea creatures, and the fowl of the air, that was good too. "And God saw every thing that HE had made, and behold, it was very good!" The key here is that what God touched, formed, influenced, and sanctioned, He also "looked opn" or saw, and declared it "good". This evil and malicious world that we temporarily call "home", there is myuch that is considered "good:, but allnthat"s "good", isn't necssarily "God"!, because all that we perceive and determine to be "good", most certainly ain't GOD!

Many of us greet each other with "What's good?", which appears to be a rhetorical question, because no one actually answers the greeting or question, and it would be very interesting to hear the responses to a counter question of "What's God?" Who and how many could pause long enough to give a brief dissertation n "What's God?", and do Him justice. When God created divine marriage, family structure, and the woman ,Eve, for the man Adam, that was not only "good", but it was also God, but when the family structure, and marriage became perverted and dysfunctional, and when men, who were created to cleave nto womn, bean to cleave unto other men, and sestablish unbiblical families, it might've been all noble and good to some, but "it ain't God!" When you find someone's purse/wallet with a stack of cash and credit cards, and keep the cash and return all else, this may appear to be "good", but "it ain't God"! When the government overpays you during tax season, you need a new roof, or the engine's burnt up in your tricked out Impala, and you perceive this as an answer to your dilemma, it may look good, for you to keep it, but please believe "it ain't God!" When you connive and scheme, always bearing tales about, making accusations against, and planting derogatory seeds about your peers, or co-laboreres in the ministry, until you finally get someone dismissed from a position that they rightfully deserved, and you are elevated, that ain't even "good", and it certainly "ain't God"! Even when your vilest and most malicious enemy suffers tragedy, and you're tempted to gloat while thinking "that's "good" for them", it's really not, and it's not good for you either, and needless to say, "it ain't God! Most things within our sphere of existence, prior to salvation, shift, and our perspective regarding them is realigned,,because the unsaved and the unconverted live in another dimension of "goodness", moral character, values, and definitions of wrong vs. right, and good vs. bad/evil!

When it concerns something that our flesh desires or wants to do, we easily rationalize and minimize it as if, in so doing, it will become "good",and maybe you can effectivelyy hook some stuff up to get somebody to slap a high five with you and co-sign that "it's all good!, but remember it's "goodness" is determined by God's response once HE "saw" it! It's elementary to a true believer and a sold out servant of God, who has nurtured a viable relationship with the Lord, to know what's God, and what's not. If it cant, won't, or doesn't edify, exhort, or bring God glory, most likely, "IT AIN'T GOD!".If you can't see Christ standing up from the throne , pleased and boasting on you and your activities, most likely, "it ain't God"! If it's something that you don't even won't the neighbors or the saints to know, you surely don't want God to know, even though He's omniscient, and knows everything, so of course,"IT AINT God!" Well "What is God?" Love withiout dissimulation, forebearance, being instant in forgiveness, loving God with your whole heart, mind, and soul, obeying all of His commands, presenting your body as a living sacrifice, giving thanks in all things, holiness, giving unto the needy, avoiding evil coincupiscence, having a servant's heart, possesssing your vessel unto honor, eschewing evil, sitting not in the seat of scorners, nor standing inbthe way of sinners, esteeming others above one's self, judging nothing before it's time, making full proof of your ministry and walking worthy, avoiding vain geneologies, watching and praying, bearing the infirmities of the weak, snatching a soul out of the fire, studying to be quiet and to do your own business, letting your light shine, blessing when you are cursed, feeding your enemies, submitting to authority, leaning not unto thine own understanding, taking the high road, pursuing peace, agreeing quickly with your adversary, sharing the good news of the Gospel of Jesus, the Christ, leading by example, possessing a quiet and meek spirit, and thirsting and hungering after rightousness. All of these things are no more than our reasonable service, and "goodness" may get yiou "to" the door, but only God can get you"through" the door, of the Holy of Holies, perpetual favor, and eternal life!
