What's in it for me?
Do you ever ask the Lord ' What's in it for me?

So many times we either hear others ask the question, or indeed ask it ourselves. We have become such a 'me' focused society, and the church is no different.

Consider the children of Israel, going around that mountain so many times; Naaman dipping in dirty Jordan 7 times, and Joshua leading the children of Israel around and around Jericho. Tired of feet, sick in body or simply anxious to settle down..What's in it for me Lord?.....Chastisement...for whom He loves He also chastens, Judgement, it must first begin at home,Pruning, a tree needs pruning in order to bear fruit; crushing, Jeremiah recognized that we must be put on the potters wheel. However in all these things there are promises of a better tomorrow...a promise never to leave you, nor forsake you; a promise that you will prosper and be in good health and when all is said and done, a reward for your works.

Therefore my brothers and sisters..Be ye steadfast, unmoveable and always abounding in the faith.

What's in it for you?

Greater works than tongue can tell.

Blessings
