Who will you please, GOD OR SOCIETY?????????

YOUR PRIMARY OBLIGATION IS NOT TO PLEASE IMPERFECT MEN AND WOMEN.

Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God. The best invitation we ever received.......2PETER 1:3 MSG

When God created you, he equipped you with an assortment of talents and abilities that are uniquely your. It's up to you to discover those talents and to use them, but the world may encourage you to do otherwise. Watch out because society will attempt to standardize you, and to make you FIT into a particular preformed mold. Perhaps GOD has other plan. At times, because you're imperfect human being, you may become so wrapped up in meeting society's expectations that you fail to focus on GOD'S expectations.

YOUR PRIMARY OBLIGATION IS NOT TO PLEASE IMPERFECT MEN AND WOMEN.

To simply answer the question Sis. Gwen, God! I am not into pleasing "man". Even before I gave my life to the Lord, I wasn't into pleasing man. Man has NO say over my soul...period..point blank..plain and simple. Therefore, I can not, will not serve two masters and I will not conform to this "world", but I will be RENEWED in Christ! Be Blessed!

I feel if we are CALLED by GOD the Most high..we haveto first be mindful that it is an honour that we were chosen to perform the work in that area of Ministry..Now we are not called to please man ,,However it is being done..If you read Numbers 23v7 Balaam was sent by Balak to curse Isreal however balaam had another agenda..But I like chapter 24 V 1 when it is read THAT WHEN BALAAM SAW THAT IT PLEASED THE LORD HE BLESSED ISREAL AGAIN..we have to get back when WE TOO PLEASED THE LORD..I say it over and Over and some dont agree with it ..this Gospel Lottery mesage is not all God sent Preachers to preach!!!keep asking for money brings the wrong spirit into the church ..Yashua/Jesus did not come here for the MONEY and I'll take that to my Grave..Is God Smiling on our work or Frowning ??are we pleaseing GOD or Man???Now I use to be the Hooping preacher and Preached one day and the Pastor came to me and said HANCOCK MAKE THEM RUN,SHOUT AND FALL OUT AND I'LL SPLIT THE MONEY WITH YOU!!! Immediately I was lead to changed my message and preached on Jerimiah 23 WOE UNTO THE PASTORS THAT SCATTER THE SHEEP..the congregation loved it but I lost a friend..I love your hearing from God Sister Gwen..we have to get back to what GOD is saying in order to please him.Man dont have a heaven or hell to put us in!!!when that day is to come and God asked WHY DID"NT YOU DO IT THE WAY THAT IT IS WRITTEN??what are we to say?? Mathew 7v 21 "Not everyone who says to Me, `Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' 23 "And then I will declare to them, `I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME WORKERS OF INIQUITY..you see they said we did it in your name but Jesus never said it,,Jesus said that I Never knew you...WHY because they had the wrong AGENDA

Well said again Sister Gwen, we are not here to belittle anyone. We are suppose to help uplift each other and to uplift the name of Jesus. If we spend all day trying to destroy the saints, then how can we bring in the sinners. There should be no controversy amongst the saints after getting saved, we should be finding the lost sheep and bring them in the fold. So many times, we as christian enjoy trying to out speak or should I say over talk another. I really think the sister who commented didn't have a clear understanding as to what you were saying. Your topic was just a rewording on the scripture..."you can not please God and mammon too". Again I say keep on keeping on, someone is listening to what God is putting in your spirit. Remember the passage in the bible about how the seeds fell on all types of ground, out of the four types there was only one good ground. As you say, watch your diet, don't eat everybody food!!!

My Brother Leigh , you are so special (LOL) I just got your message

You’re Quote I can't wait to hear the response....lol

I did not think twice about responding to be honest with you. I have learned to respect everyone’s views and opinions and the best way to handle feedback sometimes is by not responding. I don’t talk just to hear myself talk therefore; I listen to the Holy Spirit not man!!!!!! My sister Anna is entitled to her opinion, what can I say?? And I love her for that reason, I appreciate her taking the time and sharing her concerns and informative information with me, however’ I don’t eat from everybody’s table!!!! My blog and question will remain the same. WHY? well Bro Leigh I’m glad you ask that question, no matter how many blogs we post at the end of the day we are all still entitled to our own opinions,(smile) NO! one has the right to take that from us, or change our quote belief system??????We are all learning vessels some are just a little further in their studies! Than others?? Eyes have not seen and ears have not heard neither has it been revealed into the hearts of man?????? So why would I let man change anything? We are all here for the up building of the GOD”S KINGDOM!!!!! Not to shut one another DOWN!!!!!!! In my own opinion that’s MESSY AND GOD IS NOT IN NO MESS!!

In closing my brother I’m sooooooooooooo! Glad that I live in a GLASS house, it keeps me in check spiritually and reminds me daily that I will never ever be in a position to cast the first STONE at anybody on this network, or anywhere else for that matter! Just keeping it real!!!! ,because I serve a real GOD.
Thanks my sister Anna for your feedback, I love you in Jesus Name.

AGAIN, YOUR PRIMARY OBLIGATION IS NOT TO PLEASE IMPERFECT MEN AND WOMEN.

Praise The Lord, Friends
Sis. Gwen this is a question that we all as Christians need to ask ourselves, because so many times we want the world's approval. We want to please men and women instead of pleasing the God, the one who has full control of our lives. We as people are lettng the world define greatness for us. Our society has built itself on the philosophy of the devil instead of on the wisdom of God. In order for us to overcome this way of thinking, we need to change audiences, we need to change the channel. Which audience are we trying to please people in the world, or God in heaven. I really appreciate your blog and your replies to the others that commented. I see that you spoke from your heart what the spirit had to say and not the words of others. You keep listening to God and keep doing what thus saith the Lord. Some will hear and some will not.

Sister, you are probably not aware of the deeper impliations about which you wrote. Are you also willing to change your belief system if it can be shown that you, yourself, are trying to please society, or your church, rather than to please God in the traditions you keep?

I present to you the following quotes from the Methodist church regarding the Sabbath which they agree is Biblical but they do not keep:

Roman Catholic and Protestant Confessions about Sunday
Methodist

Harris Franklin Rall, Christian Advocate, July 2, 1942, p.26.

"Take the matter of Sunday. There are indications in the New Testament as to how the church came to keep the first day of the week as its day of worship, but there is no passage telling Christians to keep that day, or to transfer the Jewish Sabbath to that day."

John Wesley, The Works of the Rev. John Wesley, A.M., John Emory, ed. (New York: Eaton & Mains), Sermon 25,vol. 1, p. 221.

"But, the moral law contained in the ten commandments, and enforced by the prophets, he [Christ] did not take away. It was not the design of his coming to revoke any part of this. This is a law which never can be broken .... Every part of this law must remain in force upon all mankind, and in all ages; as not depending either on time or place, or any other circumstances liable to change, but on the nature of God and the nature of man, and their unchangeable relation to each other."

Dwight L. Moody
D. L. Moody, Weighed and Wanting (Fleming H. Revell Co.: New York), pp. 47, 48.
The Sabbath was binding in Eden, and it has been in force ever since. This fourth commandment begins with the word 'remember,' showing that the Sabbath already existed when God Wrote the law on the tables of stone at Sinai. How can men claim that this one commandment has been done away with when they will admit that the other nine are still binding?"

~~~~~~~~~
The prophet Isaiah also states:
Isaiah 58:13-14 (KJV)
If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words: Then shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
Isaiah 56: 1 - 4
1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
3 Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
4 For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
The Lord plainly says in vs 4 that keeping the Sabbath "please Him".
Where does the Lord ever say that rejecting the Sabbath and substituting Sunday pleases Him?
Also, can you tell me where in the Bible we are told to transfer the honor due to the seventh day Sabbath to the first day of the week?
Was this done to please God, or to keep the tradition, agenda of men in the past as well as in the present, today?
