How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and
with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that
were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him (Act 10:38 ).

The Bible tells us Jesus was anointed with the Holy
Ghost and with power, and He went about “doing
good.” Now, “doing good” implies much more than feeding
the hungry or making charitable donations. It implies
manifesting the glory of God and establishing His will upon
the earth. This was what Jesus did when He physically
walked the earth. The Bible says, “For this purpose the Son
of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of
the devil” (1 John 3:8).
Jesus said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because
he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor;
he hath sent me to heal the broken-hearted, to preach
deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the
blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised…” (Luke 4:18-
19). These words of the Master capture for us what the
anointing is for: preaching the gospel to the poor; healing
the broken-hearted, preaching deliverance to the captives,
and recovering of sight to the blind; setting at liberty them
that are bruised! These are the good works you’ve been
called and anointed to do as a believer.
Winning souls, bringing men out of darkness into
God’s marvellous light ought to be your natural lifestyle as
a child of God. The Bible says: “…we are His workmanship
created (recreated) in Christ Jesus unto good works, which
God had before ordained that we should walk in them”
