In recognition of National Bible Week, St. John's AME Church located at 326 Pacific Avenue Jersey City, New Jersey is hosting its First Annual Public Reading of the Bible in the City Council Chambers at Jersey City Hall located at 280 Grove Street, Jersey City NJ, on Monday, November 22, 2010 at 12:00 Noon. Mayor Jerramiah T. Healy, and Deputy Mayor Tayari Kabili, who is also the NAACP President will be present, as well as the Rev. Dr. Rudolph P. Daniels, Sr., President of the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Jersey City and Vicinity. To that end, we were informed by the Cultural Affairs Office of Jersey City that this event is a first for the city as well as for The State of New Jersey. Be further advised that the public reading of the bible is a national event, and we have invited Governor Chris Christie, politicians, civic leaders, religious leaders, as well as the media. In fact, News12 New Jersey has put us on their schedule, and the Jersey Journal has confirmed yesterday that a report will be present. The keynote speaker at this occasion will be The Rev. Dr. Robert C. Wade, Presiding Elder of the Camden-Trenton District, and President of the New Jersey Council of Churches. He is also a candidate for Episcopal service. Moreover, the Word of God and its proclamation is the purpose of this holy gathering. We hope that your schedule will permit you to participate in this historic event, and ask that you please bring your bible with you. Greetings to you in the precious name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I m pastor David from Andhrapradesh. can be solved any way. While we were proceeding vigorously to the temple of Lord Venkateswara Swamy on the hill top a revelation of God came up saying that these were all stones only stones and nothing else was there in that as if some body was talking, behind me. I was trembled and my heart has melted greatly when I directly exposed to the Radiant Divine-Jesus who was on the Cross , said that ” I shed my blood for you,” and then disappeared. So we were tempted,/ compelled ourselves to repent on the spot by confessing of sins , in our hearts and received Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, & God., After revelation as above we also entered the temple of Lord Venkateswara Swamy but were shocking to see that Lord Venkateswara Swamy a big idol which doesn’t have life of it’s own. After analyzing these and examined thoroughly including the revelation of god I had on the hill top we have come out with a conclusion that Jesus is only the, savior, true God for he has paid price for us on the Cross, than any one else in the world., We could understand only after revelation of god / spelt out very obvious over these as idols & nothing else . So we have removed these idols from my house as confirmed by God as above as soon as we had come back home, at Hyderabad. After which we felt a lot of weight has lifted from me and also lot of peace has been restored back in the, family miraculously. Prosperity and riches are NOT a definite sign of spirituality. I use to be one of those people that were in such “amazement”, when a famous Man of “God” would come to town. People would be breaking the elastic on their wallet, to give to him. I think it’s pathetic. You hear a sermon, shout and then the battle of the dollars begin. People get mad at me, when I say this, but I don’t care. It’s all a money scheme, and people are falling for it, like worms on a fishing hook. People are always trying to find ways to achieve more financial success. What better way to do this, but to prey on church members. Money and salvation have nothing to do with each other. The Gospel is being blinded by the love of power and dollar bills. This spirit is really taking over the church.
False preachers, “apostles,” “Bishops,” and “evangelists” are always hitting up the poor to give more. They are always telling the people whose lights are about to be turned off that if they sow the seed that preacher is telling them to sow they will reap bountifully. Now Scripture clearly states that those who are in financial distress (as well as those who are not) are to give in a manner that is purposed within their heart. Why? Because we must take care of home first (essentials- food, shelter, clothing). Instead, these money grubbers want you to take care of their home(s) first, and if your’s is not taken then you get blamed for not having enough faith, thus allowing the devil to steal your joy (and your loot).
A church might not get “enough” money if they don’t require tithing? Hey, maybe that church shouldn’t exist. Or perhaps the pastor should be willing to - oh, I don’t know - GET A JOB like Paul, to support himself. You don’t have a building? Rent a hall, as small a hall as the offerings will support. And if they are enough to support one at all, then maybe the group SHOULD cease to exist. - Rev. A. Turner Jr.
