How Will Life be on Earth AFTER Jesus Returns? What Laws WILL be Kept?

Here is something to think about;

Just how will life on earth be and what laws will Jesus enforce when He is Lord and King over ALL the earth?

After all, that is what a ruler does....enforces HIS laws. Let's look at some laws we KNOW will be kept when He returns;

Zech. 14
[16] And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
[18] And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
[19] This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

So we know for a fact the nations remaining on the earth during Jesus rule WILL be keeping the Feast of Tabernacles. Well, if they do not they will be punished, so I'm thinking they will.

Let's find another;

Isa.66
[23] And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

So we find that God's Sabbath will ALSO be a requirement for ALL flesh that are here on earth during Jesus rule.

So it seems that Jesus Laws and Commandments are NOT just for the nation of Israel. They will be for ALL nations and ALL flesh during his rule here on earth.

Now if the Lord is going to require EVERYBODY to keep the Feast of Tabernacles and His 7th day Sabbath, what about ALL of the rest of His Holy days?

Do you think He will overlook the Passover, Blowing of the Trumpets, Days of Unleaven Bread, Day of Atonement and the rest?

Do you think you will be able to serve God on any day YOU choose or will it be the day HE says?

Moving on....what about His Dietary laws? Do you think Jesus, during His 1000yr rule Jesus will now say it's ok to eat, swine and shell fish and ALL of the other things He called an abomination? Let’s look at who it is He will punish when He returns;

Isa.66
[15] For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
[16] For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
[17] They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.

Now why would God consume those that eat swine, the mouse and those things He said were an abomination if He nailed His dietary laws to His cross?

Just think about how life on this planet will be when Jesus is in charge?

He will be ruling for 1000 years. Some people will have lived and died ONLY knowing the TRUE word of God. They will have lived and died, not knowing wars, not knowing starvation, not knowing SATAN and his angels.

Have you ever thought about it?

Well.....if you are not one of the ones in the first resurrection, AND was blessed to make it through the Great Tribulation....this will be the life you will have.

But it will only last for awhile;

Rev.20
[7] And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
[8] And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth,

Can you imagine being taught by Jesus Himself for 1000 years and STILL be deceived by Satan?

I can't, but God's word says it will happen.

One more thing to question; Why would Jesus gives us His laws, then suspend them for a while, only to have them obeyed again when He returns? Does not make sense! After all, we see there will be one law for all when He returns. There was one law for all that followed the true and living God in the OT.

Why would He say we no longer had to keep them AFTER He died, but they would resume when He returned? Just does not make sense.

After all, He did say, "Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant."

You can get used to keeping His laws, commandments and statues now.....or be FORCED to do so later! The choice is yours!

Life on earth AFTER the return of Jesus Christ.........

how will it be........think about it!!!!

Chaplain,

Fullfillment in Yeshua's actions was the realization of the Torah. Fulfillment never mean cancel or annul. In fact, in Hebraic thought, to fulfill the Torah means to do and teach it correctly, which is why Yeshua said verse,"Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."
OK BPN MEMBERS . . . .

Take heed to what is going on here.

IT IS OBVIOUS WITHOUT ANY DOUBT, WE CHRISTIANS ARE NOT ON THE SAME PAGE AS THE ISRAELITE (BLACK OR OTHERWISE) WHEN IT COMES TO THE OLD TESTAMENT AND NEW TESTAMENT DOCTRINE, AND ESPECIALLY WHEN IT COMES TO SALVATION. THIS IS A FACT.

And because both sides stand firm in their belief systems, neither are going to surrender to the other side.

SO WHY ARE WE CONTINUING TO BEAT THIS DEAD HORSE?????

Please don't tell me it's your duty to speak the truth. We have all spoken what we believe is the truth, and guess what, we are no further along in coming to an understanding than we were in the beginning of this fruitless debate.

So, I have a suggestion . . . why not set up separate discussions specifically for the Israelite and Christians. In other words, Israelite BPN Members, you set up discussions for response by those who believe and you do, and for us Christians, we can do the same. I will respond to the Christian posts of my belief and avoid the posts from the Israelites. For newcomers entering in, they can choose who they wish to dialogue with - this should minimize fruitless debates and mindless bickering on the sly.

Peace in Jesus
Chaplain,

The fact is that many do not want to reason. They want to stay rigid in their beliefs, and in ignorance. The sad part is that many are acting like ancient, stiff necked Israel who does not want to come out of Babylon, because its their comfort zone.

Its truly possible to come to agreements from reasoning, and come to fruitation of beliefs, but the question is clear,"Is one's mind open enough to reason and learn if they are wrong?"

Shalom
James

Reasoning is good, yet as Christians we are called to guard our hearts and minds, having an open teachable heart to the Spirit of God is excelllent, having an open mind is good, YET to open our minds so much that our God given brains fall out - we move into the realm of foolishness and folly.
Caral,

I agree to that. We must guard and our hearts and minds.
Sister Pat

I hear you loud and clear, but IMHO and to be totally honest, we have the discernment and the ability not to response unless we choose to. I like to learn about new religions and through dialogue I can do this.

Personally I praise God that these young men have a passion and a zeal for the God's Word, and to us they seem to be in legalism, yet, I believe that God can use a crooked stick to draw a straight line.

Personally, I also believe that God uses the Law and legalism at the beginning of our walk to teach us. It teaches not to break God's laws or flaunt and abuse His grace, which is as we all know seems to be so prevalent in some of our churches.

So perhaps by ending dialogue it would minimise bickering, but it could also stop Holy Spirit growth and learning, and to be honest for me, I think if if people want to bicker, let them bicker :o)

Every Blessing in Him.
I agree with you Sister Caral. Because the law is for the lawless. Not the ones who follow it. You are not under the law if you follow it.
To those that believe Jesus is reigning here on earth now and say it has been so since Pentecost let's read what the bible has to say;

John 14
[30] Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

So whoever the prince of this world is, he has NOTHING to do with Christ. Let's continue;

John 18
[36] Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Jesus says His kingdom is NOT here! Here's more;

2 Cor.4
[3] But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
[4] In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not

It does not seem that Jesus is the king of the earth, at least not yet! Here's more;

Eph.6
[12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Does it appear Christ is reigning right now, on earth? Not according to scripture. But let's reas when He will;

Rev.11
[15] And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

So, according to God's Holy word, Christ will not rule until AFTER the blowing of the 7th trump.

Now I'm not making this up, this is what God's word says. Now this does not seem to go with what another poster said.

Next, God's word said that Jesus would rule with the saints;

Rev.20
[6] Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

If you start at the FIRST Pentacost, found in the OT that would put Jesus rule here on earth WELL past the time frame GOD said. Even if you started at the day of Pentecost spoken of in the NT, we find that Jesus has gone over His rulership by about 1000 years.

According to all we have read Jesus IS NOT reigning here on earth now. Does he step in and make sure the fathers plan is fulfilled? Of course, but His reign has not started.

Thank Eccl, there isn't a those who believe, I think that maybe its just moi that's an amillenmialist . :)

Thanks for the scriptures, great choice of pick 'n' mix, however I am inclined to read the scriptures as a cohesive whole, and hermeneutically I am not a fundemental literalist in the apocalyptic books.

Blessings
I'm am only doing what I am instructed to do by God's holy word;

Isa.28
[10] For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

Topic with topic. Line upon line. Searching the scriptures here and there.

Luke 4
[4] And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Using EVERY WORD of God. That means, Gen. to Rev.

2 Tim.3
[15] And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Knowing that the same scriptures that we read in the OT are able to give salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

1 Thes.5 [21] Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

2 Tim.4 ... make full proof of thy ministry.

2 Tim.3
[16] All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
[17] That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

And finally using ALL of the inspired words of God for ALL of my doctrine, for reproof, for correction and for instruction, so that I can be as perfect as possible so that I can perform the good works that are needed.

.
I totally agree with you, however, we must read the scriptures in context. It is all about context, context and context. Because without context we can come up with some strange ideas, A little like trying to take a literal view of Genesis' account of creation by saying that it was completed in 24hr 6 days.

A text without context becomes a pretext.
To Zealot X -

You are correct, the meat of this leason has not been scratched. Either most do not know that there will be flesh and blood people living here on earth when Jesus returns, or they do not care, mistakenly thinking they will be in heaven somewhere.

Here is the timeline for what will take place:

At Jesus return, which WILL NOT HAPPEN UNTIL THE BLOWING OF THE 7TH TRUMPET, the first resurecction takes place.

1 Cor.15
[52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Since we know there will be 7 trumpets, the last trump HAS TO BE THE 7th Trump. Now let's confirm;

1 Thes.4
[16] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Again, this MUST be the 7th trump. And again;

Rev.20
[6] Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

So when Jesus returns, at the 7th trump, at that time His 1000 year rule here on earth begins. Now let's read who He brings with Him, but for that we must go BACK a chapter;

Rev.19
[14] And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

Next Jesus make war with the armies of the earth;

Rev.19

[19] And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.
[20] And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
[21] And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Once He wins that battle this follows;

Rev.20

[2] And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
[3] And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
[5] But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Notice, Satan will be LOOSED again AFTER the 1000yrs is over.

Now if we ALL have our spirit bodies, just who is it Satan is going to temp when He is loosed? Let's read.

Notice also there are still some that have NOT been judged! Not in Hell, not in heaven. Just DEAD!

Now let's read who Satan deceives AFTER the 1000yrs;

[7] And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
[8] And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

Now understand something here. Satan AND ALL of his angels were bound for ONE THOUSAND YEARS!!!! The earh has been ruled by Jesus and the first resurection saints.

What laws do you think Jesus is having the nations obey? Do you think He is requiring them to keep His 7th day Sabbath and feast days? Of course He is...we already know that from my lesson. ANd what of His dietary laws? Those too will be kept! Why, because Jesus said these things were to be done FOREVER! Now let's look at one last thing;

There have been people that have ONLY known the ways of Jesus, His laws, His ways, His thinking......and Satan is STILL able to convince nations, flesh and blood beings, that He AND they can defeat Christ in Battle. Well let's see what the outcome will be;

[8] And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
[9] And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

That was quick! Fire came from heaven and they were devoured. And as for Satan...he was put in the same place were the beast AND the false prophet ARE, even AFTER a 1000yrs;

[10] And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

And finally;

Rev.21
[3] And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

This is the course of events that WILL happen.....just think about it!
