Should a pastor that spends most of his time preaching and teaching get paid for what God has him to do? I know what the scriptures says about this, but would you pastor for free?

Mr. Sydney Durand Pennie Sr writes:"Not trying to sound sacri-religious are anything but I have come full circle."
Really funny about FULL circle...Full circle will be when we all follow in what your Rabbi Yeshua was doing in Deeds...and in Practice" in the TIMEs and SEASONs as he did RIGHT??? Or we can continue to follow in the traditions of Rome..your choice free will and such...
I can help...But We first have to remember to OBEY the Mitzvot that Yeshua did RIGHT??? Shabbat observance is still the fourth command ...is it not..We all have Jewish linage Unless you are banned, unredeemable Amalek. We can all trace our bloodline to Israels ten northern tribes...
~~~~~~ anybody care to check theirs?
Then we can learn the real J-sus and walk as he walked...repairing the world./Tikkun Olam
YAAKOV AND HADASSAH WRITES: "Really funny about FULL circle...Full circle will be when we all follow in what your Rabbi Yeshua was doing in Deeds...and in Practice" in the TIMEs and SEASONs as he did RIGHT???"
SYDNEY PENNIE RESPONDS:No!... Not what I meant by "full circle"! But ok, you have a perspective and it is respected but it is NOT MY perspective or application. Therefore it cannot serve as allusions to what I meant. "Full circle" is a generic term and can be expressed in many ways but I was talking about something much more personal and something that only I would know about and others that I have shared it with.
Bible: "Flesh and bloodline shall not enter into the kingdom of God", "There is no difference between Jew or Greek", God so LOVED the entire world...that he gave his SON".
Sydney responds: Linenage is good to know but not necessary and is NOT a prerequsite to be an object of God's love. Sorry but I'm not interested. Thanks you for your kindness. Sorry to others that I responded and indulged away from the original topic presented but was inclined to clarify my position about "Full circle" in that it may not be mistaken and used as a spring board for others and their agenda.
How many layers in an Onion?...Nobody knows, because the layers are formed,as they grow into the perfection of a complete circle.
And as it is a constant, that perfection comes from the ultimate source, the very essence of YHVH the very essence within all and through all...that is the deeper thought of full circle.IMHO anyway.
The very Creator YHVH of all matter and anti-matter can and does at times reveal to his Tzaddik great clarity..and nothing is personal,... it is all orchestrated by Ha'shem~and revealed by HaShem~ to heal and make us whole~~~as it is written:
Numbers 12:6 // starting at:12:v2 And they said: 'Hath HaShem indeed spoken only with Moses? hath He not spoken also with us?'
And HaShem heard it.--
3 Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men that were upon the face of the earth.--
4 And HaShem spoke suddenly unto Moses, and unto Aaron, and unto Miriam: 'Come out ye three unto the tent of meeting.' And they three came out.
5 And HaShem came down in a pillar of cloud, and stood at the door of the Tent, and called Aaron and Miriam; and they both came forth.
6 And He said: 'Hear now My words: if there be a prophet among you, I HaShem do make Myself known unto him in a vision, I do speak with him in a dream.7 My servant Moses is not so; he is trusted in all My house;
8 with him do I speak mouth to mouth, even manifestly, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of HaShem doth he behold; wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against My servant, against Moses?'
9 And the anger of HaShem was kindled against them; and He departed.
10 And when the cloud was removed from over the Tent, behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow; and Aaron looked upon Miriam; and, behold, she was leprous.
11 And Aaron said unto Moses: 'Oh my lord, lay not, I pray thee, sin upon us, for that we have done foolishly, and for that we have sinned.
12 Let her not, I pray, be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he cometh out of his mother's womb.'
13 And Moses cried unto HaShem, saying: 'Heal her now, O G-d, I beseech Thee.'
14 And HaShem said unto Moses: 'If her father had but spit in her face, should she not hide in shame seven days? let her be shut up without the camp seven days, and after that she shall be brought in again.'
15 And Miriam was shut up without the camp seven days; and the people journeyed not till Miriam was brought in again.
16 And afterward the people journeyed from Hazeroth, and pitched in the wilderness of Paran.
Paran: one of the 42 Journies in the wilderness~~~Do you know where you are along the journey? If not, take another lap around the mountain until the essence is One with you.
Nothing is hidden not even the intent(s) of the heart.............
Yes. A church should definitely provide for the financial needs of its pastor(s) and any other full-time ministers. 1 Timothy 5:17-18, “The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching. For the Scripture says, 'Do not muzzle the ox while it is treading out the grain,' and 'The worker deserves his wages.'” 1 Corinthians 9:14 declares, “In the same way, the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should receive their living from the gospel.” If a church is not able to provide sufficient finances for a pastor, then a pastor would have no other choice but to work outside the church to bring in the needed income. This is a regrettable, but sometimes necessary situation. It would be best for a pastor to be full-time so he can fully dedicate himself to the Lord’s work of ministering to and shepherding the congregation.
Station writes:" If a church is not able to provide sufficient finances for a pastor, then a pastor would have no other choice but to work outside the church to bring in the needed income. This is a regrettable, but sometimes necessary situation.
Ok so what you are saying is this: Since the commienatzisocialistmarxist regime presently running this country and killing its sons in wars, Using the un ratified illegal Tax system fleecing the bread earners of AmeriKa makes it hard for wanna be pastors or teacher of biblical promise to do there job and therefore they are hindered...therefore they need to fleece the flock as our Government has taught by their example... Hmmmm.
Sounds like basic life to me. We get cheated, and well meaning people cheat others and so it is with socialist teaching. We are numb to the Basics of G-d we forgot we are ONE in the Divine plan for humanity. and we have lost sight of Emunah/ faithfulness and more-so integrity.
And since G-d is not providing except for to fleece the flock with misconstruction theology to built the towers of mere men.
I suggest you who believe you are Called to just wait on the L-rd...Oh and while waiting for HaShem to Establish you even if it takes decades to mature you then you wait...All the while in Deep calleth unto Deep study"~Why? Because you have nothing different to give out than anybody else is not screaming or preaching or whatever that is that goes on in the barnyard of some assemblies.
Ok so how about a TAX REVOLT in 2010 help out Dr. R. Paul~get those much needed Stolen tax dollars back into our wallets and purses so that the pastor teachers should have more to work with, would that work ???
What in the devil are you talking about you are talking about wars and killing people what do that have to do with paying the pastor of a church
Just a little Penguin trail to see if you were paying attention...Shalom
Oh and Mr. "O" at the house called white LIED and trippled the troops to war. Now is that hope realized?.
A war unratified by congress,... Violating the US Constitution..if you had not noticed.
And that My friend/bro in the l-rd is why we are loosing our freedoms...and arguing over fleecing the flock and callling evil good.
Conqured -divided and mis-aligned with the Torah and obedience that Yeshua taught to his Talmidim.
Lastly if I write something you are not familiar with a term J-sus would have used ~~Feel free to use Google~~ they have a pretty good search engine for little details Like a good Torah/Bible education. and word lookup.
The Bible clearly states that the person that preaches and teaches the true Gospel (spiritual) as commanded by God is more than worthy to receieve of the carnal which means money or anything else that they may need to continue to preach the Word, without compromise. However I do not subscribe to preaching as a vocation, it is a special call from God, and I would not preach for a salary, but would just as the preists of the Bible Did accept from the church such things that would sustain me as I labor in the Word. that means yes I would pastor for free, and allow God to take care of me.
Mr. Butts writes:"However I do not subscribe to preaching as a vocation, it is a special call from God, and I would not preach for a salary, but would just as the preists of the Bible Did"
I LOVE THAT, GOD BLES YOU
Pastors,
are employed by God. I believe they should not start out in Ministry with a Salary. Once God has added to the church and the needs and responsibilities of that leader become a demand from the congregation, then there should be some type of full time (working in the field and in the church) compensation made available, but not to get rich. God will speak to the hearts of individuals of how to take care of their leader.
Amen, very well said!
