Are pastors who allowed their wives to preach and teach over men in the congregation disobeying God?

1Timothy 2

11 Let a woman in quietness learn in all subjection, 12 and a woman I do not suffer to teach, nor to rule a husband, but to be in quietness, 13 for Adam was first formed, then Eve, 14 and Adam was not deceived, but the woman, having been deceived, into transgression came, 15 and she shall be saved through the child-bearing, if they remain in faith, and love, and sanctification, with sobriety.

1Timothy 3
5(If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?)

Wwomen have different roles than men in the church, also in the the home .
Christian men and women are definately equal in value and dignity; but we dont have the same roles. Not only that, the men in the church dont all have equal roles.
Also it was Eve that Satan chose to deceive - maybe because she was the weaker vessel...maybe.
And having been deceived by Satan seems to have something to do with women not being allowed to teach men and not being permitted to have authority over men in the church.

We all have roles but we all dont have the same role - and the Lord loves when we are obedient to his Word.
Same value - different roles ---> all to the glory of God. :-)
I agree with that...

Saved or not - the woman is still in subjection to the man...in their own home and in the house of the Lord.
A sister who puts her trust in Jesus secures eternal freedom from the wages of sin, however she’s not free YET from some of the repercussions of Eve’s rebellion in Eden.
Just like she still gives birth in pain - even if she is saved.
Some things wont change until the Jesus comes

sounds like a good EXCUSE to me...ok
I guess I'm trying to understand why my comments are seen as me trying to justify womens actions when that is not the point I've been making at all. LOL. This is weird. I must be writing in a different language or something.

The point I've been making is there is unbalanced teaching.

Question - what is sin? When we say someone has sinned what does that mean? Is disobeying God in any fashion considered sin? Is any willful act of doing the exact opposite of what God commanded not to do sin? If you say no then we need to know under what conditions is disobeying God not a sinful act.

I don't see anywhere in my responses where I even allude that I believe Adam was deceived. In fact I even posted scriptures supporting that Eve was deceived. What I am saying is that you can't stop with Eve. That's unbalanced teaching. Eve was straight wrong...I've never tried to vindicated or defend her of her disobedience. She also knew she wasn't suppose to eat the fruit just like Adam did. And just like Adam she wilfully did the exact opposite of Gods command not to eat the fruit. Eve was deceived and did eat Adam was offered the fruit and ate...the WHY they ate doesn't change the biblical fact that they both ate. Why do we skate over them BOTH eating??

Eve messed up we know it we feel it everytime we have kids.... But can you at least agree that Adam WILLFULLY DISOBEYED God if saying that Adam sinned just doesn't work since he wasn't deceived? If Gods word doesn't specifically say that Adam sinned, then what? Do we ignore that he disobeyed? They BOTH disobeyed. Why is that seemingly insignificant.

I think this will be the last thing I say. I can't think of another way of saying Adam disobeyed God and Eve disobeyed God. She was deceived he was just offered ....

.
"...Remember PAUL was one-sided, so anyone can change..."

Thats the truth, Sis...
And he was on the side of the truth when he wrote those instructions to the church by the inspiration of the Spirit. :-)

Who does the bible say was in the transgression?GB
Bro. Preacher, are you musslim?
No!!!!!!
Genesis 3:17
To Adam he said, "Because you listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you, 'You must not eat of it,' "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.

1. Adam lays all the blame upon his wife. "She gave me of the tree, and pressed me to eat of it, which I did, only to oblige her"-a frivolous excuse. He ought to have taught her, not to have been taught by her; and it was no hard matter to determine which of the two he must be ruled by, his God or his wife.

1 Timothy 2:12
I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent.

1 Corinthians 14:34 The women are to keep silent in the churches; for they are not permitted to speak, but are to subject themselves, just as the Law also says.

Ephesians 5:22 Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.

1 Timothy 5:14 Therefore, I want younger widows to get married, bear children, keep house, and give the enemy no occasion for reproach

1 Timothy 6:1 All who are under the yoke as slaves are to regard their own masters as worthy of all honor so that the name of God and our doctrine will not be spoken against.

1 Peter 3:1 In the same way, you wives, be submissive to your own husbands so that even if any of them are disobedient to the word, they may be won without a word by the behavior of their wives

in other words...don't worry about what the man is doing...you do whats right...

*Sigh* I'm gone try one month 'gin. And I'm done for the night.

BALANCED teaching would have a final statement like this:

MEN don't worry about what the woman is doing you do what's right

WOMEN don't worry about what the man is doing you do what's right

Therein lies the balance.

The scriptures are balanced in that they address BOTH genders and not just one.

Goodnight all
That makes sesne to you...but If God calls someone to preach a certain message Its best...they do just that...
the balance is in what God says to do...
GB
Preacher,

That makes sesne to you...but If God calls someone to preach a certain message Its best...they do just that...
the balance is in what God says to do...

Who's preaching a message here????

You just had to twist the words of wisdom simply because it came from a WOMAN!

Again . . . .

MEN don't worry about what the woman is doing you do what's right

WOMEN don't worry about what the man is doing you do what's right

Therein lies the balance.

AMEN
