I now understand more and more about this so-call world of "Hip-Hop". I understand now why "Hip-Hop"has really no place in our churches and yet it's slowly creeping in our church doors. After hearing all of this, I will stand behind fellow clergy members by NOT allowing "Hip-Hop" into our churches.

Pastors,Ministers and Church Leaders, would you allow "Hip-Hop" in your churches? Is this a way in keeping our youth in church? I am interested in all feedback concerning this issue.

So then because of the actions of one man we let go of a tool that can be used to win souls. We should abandon Holy Hip Hop because of the silly actions of one silly man who in all likely hood has not clue one as to what he is doing. Men of God tell me something, when Jimmy Swaggart and Ted Haggard, failed, should we have abandoned preaching because of these men. How foolish would that have been, now consider what is being inferrd here, that because of the actions of one man many of you have no plan to reach people on the street, and its evident as to the conditions in your cities and towns. The enemy would not have such a foothold on your cities and towns were it not for your complicity, and I include myself in that. As men of God we have a responsibility that we are not living up to our responsibility working together and not bowing the knee to tradition and worshiping at the alter of complacency.
Preach it, Brother!
Bishop Williams,
Thank you for bringing this up. It is foolishness such as this that causes the spiritual bigotry toward holy hip-hop. Shaun Carter (JayZ's real name) went off the deep end some time ago when he began referring to himself as "Hova" (J-Hova -- get it?).

As for the t-shirts, this is nothing new. "Do as thou wilt" is the singular commandment of the satanic bible written by Anton LaVey.

There is nothing holy about this, and I reiterate my point on this -- No one in this forum is suggesting we allow this kind of garbage in the church.

I am in complete agreement with you that we should not be silent on this matter. This is a call to arms!

Be Blessed!
Thank you Bishop for this bit of information, it proves that hip hop is of the devil regardless how we change the lyrics in an attempt to fit our purpose. You will receive some angry attacks for exposing this, but be not dismayed. This is to be expected when we bypass God's commands in favor of our own methods.
Rev. Miller,
This is the knee-jerk reaction I expected from the Pharisitical set, not from you! May I point out, that JayZ never professed to be a Christian, much less a holy hip-hop artist. Therefore, anything that he does short of announcing his submission to Jesus Christ should not surprise us. Please do not use this as an occasion to broad-brush holy hip-hop; the two are totally unrelated!
I'm sorry but they are deeply related.
im sorry but they are not what if a preacher sleep with a deacons wife and because you carry the title rev. you get penalized with him and you havent done anything wrong.... thats what people are doing by penalizing christian rappers for secular rappers issues
God Bless you Bishop Williams,

That is an excellent obversation!

Pastor Tarik Hodge
if you go against holy hip hop, then you minus well take music out of the church period cause music has been flipped around for ages. people took the sounds of gospel music and put secular words to them and now the church is mad cause we are taking back what belongs to God!!!! its not compromising its not a hook or a gimic, people are scared of what they dont understand. i pioneer a movement in my city called the ministers of music yes i rap but muisc has to minister not just bangin beats... its really crazy how people want to band things instead of educating people on how to do it right, this is why people have agreat falling away of youth and young adults in the church.i pastor a ministry that is against the norm and its really radical so i know what god can do whether people like it or not. i can say that you must teach and constantly teach but people dont want to work hard so they say lets just keep hip hop or new methods out and stay with the same old way we been doing things now thats wack!!!!!
wack?
wack -- a hip-hop euphemism for "messed up"

Again, how can you minister to those whose language you have no knowledge of?
exactlty
