Should a pastor that spends most of his time preaching and teaching get paid for what God has him to do? I know what the scriptures says about this, but would you pastor for free?

Greetings Pastor Day,

Hey man of God I have yet to look at that info. but in writing sometimes things arent
so clear. And sometimes you get captured by all the good conversation. thats how
I take. Trying to not offend and as always none taken.

Both of us will walk on the water together. If I sink pull me up if you sink I'll pull
you up.

NOW THATS THE LOVE OF GOD WELL SAID
Mr Phillips writes"I do agree we cant compare ourselves to levitical preist, thats not what i am saying.
Hopefully you realize that there is 300,000 DNA tested and Rabbinu certified Kohen Gadol awaiting the Temple to be restored
Personally I love great discourse, This is one from the archives Moses Nachmanides and The
Debate in Barcelona, Spain, 1263

The most famous of all Jewish-Christian disputations was between the apostate Jew Pablo Christiani and Moses Nachmanides (the Ramban).

Nachmanides argued that the central issue separating Christianity and Judaism was not the issue of Jesus’ messiahship, but whether or not Jesus was divine.

There was no basis in Judaism, Nachmanides said, for believing in the divinity of the Messiah or, indeed, of any man.
To Nachmanides, it seemed most strange "that the Creator of heaven and earth resorted to the womb of a certain Jewess and grew there for nine months and was born as an infant, and afterwards grew up and was betrayed into the hands of his enemies who sentenced him to death and executed him, and that afterwards… he came to life and returned to his original place. The mind of a Jew, or any other person, cannot tolerate this."

Nachmanides told the Spanish monarch, "You have listened all your life to priests who have filled your brain and the marrow of your bones with this doctrine, and it has settled with you because of that accustomed habit." Had King James heard these ideas propounded for the first time when he was already an adult, Nachmanides implied, he never would have accepted them.

Care to research the Historical Mar Yeshua Ben Yoseph?
Greetings Brother Terry

I understand that there are some jewish folks awaiting the temple.

Do you mainly stick to the old testament or do you reference the whole bible.
Forgive if I dont know. I do not read thru all the threads I just jump in and
give biblical input and learn at the same time.

I appreciate I dear sister Beth. I think she doesn't realize that iron sharpen iron.
We are not in competition, I dont think. I beleive were just interested in what
each other has to say.

Some of the posts that some write can be rude. But that comes with discussions.

Well now thank you Pastor R. Philips Sr....i don't think you realize what the word of God says when it comes down to boasting .....when someone makes a statement to the other person ( AS FOR DEEP BRING IT ON PREACHER!) that sound lke a boasting match, comparing match, last but not least competition match...now yall can say whatever you like to make yourselves feel good about what you all are doing thats fine...but the word of God/Elohim shall stand....as for sharpen iron with iron is that the same in your book an eye for and eye or an tooth for an tooth i gave chapters to support my statement where is yours my dear brother in the lord.
Greetings Sister Beth,

If you read my threads igave scripture reference. All I have at the end of the
day is scripture.

As for what Pastor Day said, dont take that as a challenge or boasting
because I do not. By the way he responded I feel like he did not mean
like it sounded.

It is true some preachers do compete. But I dont think he is like that.
All of us are trying to understand.

Sister Beth Sue,
I wasn't boasting, I was simply saying "I'm hungry...I'm ready for the deep things!"

I, too, have provided scripture as the basis for my position. In all things, we should begin and end with scripture. However, good preaching is more than memorization; indeed, the job of the preacher is to make the Word plain and tie it to everyday life.

I am in competition with no man. Like you so eloquently put it, iron sharpens iron; therefore, we should be looking to edify one another such that we grow together in unity (Ephesians 4:13).

Pastor Phillips, thank you for speaking in my defense!

My Sister, I appreciate your zeal and your statements!

God Bless,
Pastor Day
AS FOR BEING RUDE WHEN DO THE WORD OF GOD BECAME RUDE LOL THE TRUTH WLL MAKE YOU FREE.....SO LETS NOT BEAT AROUND THE BUSH IT MAKES YOU A LIAR IN OTHER WORDS A FALSE PREACHER WATERING DOWN THE WORD OF GOD/ELOHIM....LEAVE YOUR OWN DOCTRINE AND CLING TO GOD/ELOHIM DOCTRINE OK GIVE SUPPORTING CHAPTER IF CAN NOT BE GIVING SHUT UP OR JUST TELL THE TRUTH BY GOD/ELOHIM WORD NOT MAN DOCTRINE.
I would have to ask Beth: do you have to come off as being so aggressive? Is it necessary? Would it help in any way, shape, or form?

I say that because when one considers the saying of "iron sharpening iron", one would instantly think about the friction. Sparks will fly when these two grind across each other. Is it necessary for sparks to fly? Does that validate the fact that you are sharpening another metal? A wise and experienced man showed me once that when he sharpened his blades, he watered down the blades. There was less heat built up, and therefore no sparks; however, the blades always came out razor sharp.

You don't have to water down the doctrine, but by watering down the presentation, you can save alot of heated friction. I seen on your profile that you are a Minister. This that I provided for you just now will aide you in your walk in life as well as your Ministry, for you are a Minister of GOD, but you have to deal with all sorts of people.
God bless you brother Derrick..thank you
LaShon Harah is not part of this discussion it is the Men that have to come up higher
ASLO LEAN NOT TO YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING BUT GOD OK
