The Muslim and Christian views of God have many similarities. Muslims and Christians agree that there is one God who is the Creator of everything in the universe. Both view God as sovereign, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, holy, just, and righteous. In these ways, the Christian and Muslim views of God are the same. However, there are also significant differences between Islam and Christianity’s view of God. While Allah (Allah is the Muslim and Arabic word for God) possesses the attributes of love, mercy, and grace, Allah does not demonstrate these attributes in the same manner, or to the same degree, as the God of Christianity.

The most important difference, though, between the Muslim and Christian view of God is the concept of the Trinity. Christians believe that God has revealed Himself as one God in three Persons: God the Father, the Son of God (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit.

God’s Son became a human being, Jesus Christ, to take away the penalty and power of sin by dying on the cross. After rising from the dead, Jesus went back to heaven to be with His Father. He sent His Spirit to teach men the truth through His Word, the Bible. One day, Christ will return to judge the earth; those who have trusted in Him will go to heaven, but those who have rejected Him must be separated in hell from the holy God.

Therefore, the belief in the Trinity is essential to the Christian faith. Without the Trinity, there is no incarnation of God in the Person of Jesus Christ. Without Jesus Christ, there is no salvation for sin. Without salvation, sin condemns all to hell. In Islam, Allah is not triune and does not have a son. Therefore, because of this key disagreement with the Christian faith, Muslims are not worshipping the God of Christianity.

So, instead of the question, "do Christians and Muslims worship the same God?" - a better question would be, "Do Christians and Muslims both have a correct understanding of who God is and what He is like?" To this, the answer is a definitive no. Because of crucial differences between the Christian and Muslim concepts of God, the two faiths cannot both be true.

Because the Bible provides the solution to sin, we believe that Christianity has the correct view of God. Becoming a human being, God’s Son died to pay for the sin of those who trust in Him. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

NO!

The God I serve had a Son that was not just a prophet! He was the son of God! He also did the following;

Col1:12-17 12. Giving thanks to the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
13. Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

14. In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
15. Who is the image of the invisible God, the first-born of every creature:
16. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.
17. And he is above all things, and by him all things consist.

Who created ALL things? Jesus Christ!

Hebrews (1:1) God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,(2) Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.

Who made the worlds? Jesus Christ!

Ephesians (3:9) And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

Who did God the Father create all things through? Jesus Christ!

John 13. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

ALL things were created by who? Jesus Christ!

Phil.2
6. Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

Who was equal to God the Father? Jesus Christ!

There is no trinity here!

There is only the one that became known as God the Father, and the one that became know as the Son; BOTH are GODS!!!

.
I agree.. Jesus is Lord..and there is a trinity according to God..

The scripture reveals God to us as one who exists eternally in unity as three "persons". These three persons being one in substance and essence and existing in the most perfect unity of thought and purpose. "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." (1 John 5:7). The tri-personality and the tri-unity of God is exclusively a truth of revelation, and one which lies outside the realm of natural reason. The doctrine of the tri-unity of the Godhead is vital to understanding other doctrines such as those of the deity of Christ, the atonement, regeneration and sanctification which are inextricably interwoven with this doctrine. The scripture reveals God to us as existing in a trinity of persons each of whom performs a distinctive part in the works of creation, providence and redemption.
They are "ONE" beacuse all three bring the same message, NOT that all three are of one substance!

The three that are in heaven are God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, the angel that brings the message.

Here are the three spoken of again;

Rev.1
[1] The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

God the Father gave the message to His equal; God the Son. He, in turn gave it to the angel, an "Holy Spirit", who inturn gave it to John!

Let's read how Jesus Christ Himself told us they are one;

John 17
[8] For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
[9] I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
[10] And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
[11] And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

Those that Jesus gave His word to are one, just as God the Father and God the Son are one. Let's read more;

[14] I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
[15] I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
[16] They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
[17] Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
[18] As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.
[19] And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
[20] Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
[21] That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

Again Jesus tells us how He and the Father are one;

And again;

[23] I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Can Jesus be any more plain about this?

God the Father is one with God the Son, who is one with ANYBODY that brings the word that was given by the Father!

Simple!

Jesus’ words in John 10:30, “I and the Father are one.” We need only to look at the Jews’ reaction to His statement to know He was claiming to be God. They tried to stone Him for this very reason. “… you, a mere man, claim to be God” (John 10:33). The Jews understood exactly what Jesus was claiming—deity. Notice that Jesus does not deny His claim to be God. When Jesus declared, “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30), He was saying that He and the Father are of one nature and essence. John 8:58 is another example. Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was born, I am!” The response of the Jews who heard this statement was to take up stones to kill Him for blasphemy, as the Mosaic Law commanded them to do (Leviticus 24:15).

John reiterates the concept of Jesus’ deity: “the Word was God” and “the Word became flesh” (John 1:1, 14). These verses clearly indicate that Jesus is God in the flesh. Acts 20:28 tells us, “Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.” Who bought the church—the church of God—with His own blood? Jesus Christ. Acts 20:28 declares that God purchased His church with His own blood. Therefore, Jesus is God!

Zechariah 12:10
"And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and supplication. They will look on me, the one they have pierced,

WHEN WAS JEHOVAH PIERCED?

ON THE CROSS...
Not denying that Jesus was Jahovah, nor that Jahovah became flesh and blood man.

Just that false "trinity" thing!

.
the trinity isn't false the bible clearly teaches the trinity...

The scripture reveals God to us as existing in a trinity of persons each of whom performs a distinctive part in the works of creation, providence and redemption.

There are three persons in the Godhead. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit and these three are one God, the same in substance and essence, equal in glory, majesty and power. Throughout the scripture beginning in Genesis, the tri-unity of the Godhead is revealed to us. "And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. . ." (Genesis 1:26). "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." (Genesis 1:27).

The plural "us" and "our" in Genesis 1:26 revealed that "there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost". (1 John 5:7a). The singular "his" and "he" in Genesis 1:27 revealed that "these three are one" (1 John 5:7b)
Read again how Jesus Christ says they are one, and not some tradition of man that was developed 200 years AFTER the apostles died;

They are "ONE" beacuse all three bring the same message, NOT that all three are of one substance!

you said:They are "ONE" beacuse all three bring the same message, NOT that all three are of one substance!

this is not what the bible says,but the bible says ther are one, and they agree in one
1 John 5:8
the Spirit, the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.

1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. ... And these three are one. ...

As we can clearly see, they agree in one, and they are one...there would be no need for God to repeat what he just said,but he was making it clear that not only do they agree in one,but they are also one..
GB
[7] For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

[8] And there are three that bear witness in earth, the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

So let me ask you, which one of the above is the Father? Water, Blood or Spirit? Book, chapter and verse!

And which is the Son? Book, chapter and verse!

And the same for the Holy Ghost?

Please direct me to book chapter and verse that supports your claim of ALL from the same sunstance?

I have given you what Jesus said, and my God said they are one just as WE are one.

Now can I control your hand or any part of your body? Of cousre not! Because we are not of the same part, but those that bring God's true word are all one!

ANSWER:
All three as the scripture says...[7] For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
Of course they do...dont fall for the divide and conquer
Zoe, I see that you really don't know who you serve. If you can say that Allah and YAHWEH are the same GOD, then you must have missed something along the way! Th Quran contradicts the Bible is countless places.
