Is your church teaching Gods commandments or man's traditions. Yes, I am aware that some traditions are to be passed down from generation to generation. But here lately I am hearing a lot more about what seems right unto man and not what God said in his word. Be careful! Are you looking for religion or salvation there is a difference?

May the Shekinahlife of YHVH show you the way back to your heritage...enjoy your Shabbo's
we teach both.
Hello all: I'm new here so be gentle. I guess for me I need more clarification as to what you mean by Man's Tradition. the Bible states Romans 13:1-7 states, “Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. For he is God’s servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God’s servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.” So there is some of man's ways that should apply to our lives.

Now if you are talking about the backstabbing, eye rolling judging folks that are in some of our churches I wrote a post asking similar questions
http://www.onlinefellowship.org/tag/are-you-satisfied-with-your-chu...

another asking our we relying on too many things other than God

What I think we need to rely on and sharpen is our Spirit of Discernment. I think the church should consist of a whole bunch of flawed individuals. So that we may become right in God's sight with that being said I look at that and say then it will be similar to children learning to walk. While they are in the beginning stages they will rely on crawling because its what they know and where they are comfortable, even after they know how to walk. However the more walking is encouraged, taught and practiced they will eventually abandon crawling and move from walking to running. In a good church home there might be crawlers (folks caught up in Man's way) but there should also be some advance stage movers to enlighten and encourage a better form of movement (God's Way). Religion, crawling...Salvation running. Be blessed.
it is a pity that a lot of Christians sacrifice God.... for their own tradition when the bible clearly says that making the law of God of no effect by obeying the tradition of men (Mr 7:8 col.2:8). salah
Yes there is a difference between what God commands and what man upholds. God's commands are not grievious,. they do not put bondage upon people. Let's not confuse order with legalism. God's commandments allows the servants of God to be free to move, speak, work, and serve unhindered. Man's traditions places restraints upon all its members and rejects the anointing of God. The people in the church are more sick than the people in the world. When tradition--pratices, customs, rituals etc dictate the flow (how, whom, when, wherre, how long etc) of the Holy Spirit, then that tradition is trespassing in the true house of fellowship (kornonia). Furthermore, man places a premium upon status, positions, promotions, and promeninece, and teaches others to be totally subservient to them as such; whereas, God places a premium on servanthood or servant leadership.. . who humbled himself and became obedient even unto death. . . In the 21st century, I believe it is a perversion of Scripture with all adjutants (spiritual flunkies) running around serving so called men of God. Bishops and Apostles with no power having people wait on them,. serve them, jokey for positions, preferrential treatment etc as a means of displaying faithfulness to the Lord. But Phil 2.1-6, refutes men making themselves of great reputations. With man title brings benefits, priveleges etc, but with God, title is equated with greater responsibility--lowliness and service. in today's church real humiiity of leadership is a foreign (selddom seen) concept. Jesus said, I came not to be served but to serve. It's tiime for real biblical teaching/preaching that supercedes materialism, secularism, and externalism. Is not the life more than the meat (that perishes)? God bless all those who stand for truth, righteousnesss, and holiness with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding as essential tenets of living Godly in this life.
Very insightful Dr. Foster I am glad that you responded. I have been studying Corinthians lately and what you are saying falls in line with what Paul was saying to the church of Corinth.

I presume,..in order for that to happen ( get back to biblical teaching, of Torah) we would have to actually read the Torah as a foundation to the Marital contract first established at Sinai...with understanding and not look to Hellenist replacement theology passed down from the mother-church to her wayward protestant daughters. Also noting that nothing happens unless HaShem has set it into action because there is nothing but G-d and everything is established by YHVH... there is nothing but G-d. A nice review would be Deverim / Deuteronomy 5: for those seeking the foundation of your Afrikan-diaspora,...may the ShekinahLife come forth in wisdom knowledge and finally full understanding: = CHABAD ~ of who you really are.

Shavuah Tov = have a good week~
Mr. elijah writes:"This is not for everyone but if the shoe fits, REPENT.
That is the basics I keep trying to teach the young Talmidim~~Teshuvah= repent ( pronounced chu-vah)...and then go and study until they become one with HaShem.
Sounds like the John-17 prayer that Yeshua's deciples (Talmidim) become one as he and YHVH( His proclaimed ABBA) were one/Echad soul..
Essentially G-d the Father ( HaShem) is in the drivers seat of your vessel and you are a walking desire of Humble-piety and Tzedakah ( benevolent charity from one to another of the community-)to one and all Essentially to become a living Torah example to the world...a conduit for the Divine to manifest healing and giving from one to another we are all one Soul one Body in the Adam Kadmon...the Kids do not get it...Religion is just that, full of control mechanisms~~~ However Judaism is a religion that is not a religion ~~~it is one universal soul in Marriage formed as a Ketubah= marital contract at Har Sinai with the Divine Master ,...and there is no second. We are all One.

( if I am not mistaken Rome sold your Yeshua as a Jewish Sage of Israel- who told all those who followed them to obey Torah as he did(If you claim your heritage)~see: Matt: 5v17ff...and Yochanon backs that up in first John 2:v6 as I recall )
Those who say they follow the teachings of Yeshua should do as he did...which means the Torah walk is obtainable to one and all...it starts with study and then leaving the foolishness of Rome theology and the misconstruction of the protestant daughters far behind>Shalom

A Tzaddik's plea for our humanity to become One / Echad in prayer...

enjoy the High callingShekinahLife
This kind of Boldness comes only from The Holy Spirit...
You speak well Mr.Westley...the Ruach Ha'kodosh does in deed give us boldness simply because as you can see by Rabbi Shalom Arush and his plea to Daven( Pray) before the Master in humility,.... in Teshuvah ( repentance) and finally walking the Torah walk in humility.

Emunah means to be totally devoted ~ faithfully committed to sharing your inner-self, your G-dly self and then going about doing good...
Hmmmm,...Where have I heard that before; Study and then,.. Go out and do Tikkun Olam =Repair the world ( in some way)

IMHO~When all those who love G-d finally figure we are all one in the 'Divine plan of Ha'Shem', then we will finally have found the Vestibule of heavens goodness and brought it down to earth for all humanity to enjoy.

The Rebbe said it well: Our Mission is to draw G-d's essence back down into this material world"
(from~Bringing heaven down to earth"~ compiled by Tzvi Freeman from the Rebbe's teachings at Chabad
enjoy your journey /J&T@Shekinahlife
