Praise Him Saints ! I know by now everyone heard about the Scandal with Bishop Long. There are questions on every hand. Fingers are pointed and tongues are wagging. My analysis-leave the man alone. Let he that without sin cast the first stone. Let's follow Bible principles in every area of our lives. The Bible says if a brother is taken in a fault, those who are followers  of Christ are to pray for his restortion back into the fold. If we are going to be Judge and Jury then there is no need for GOD.

Let's just make sure we don't slip or fingers will be pointing at us. If we say we are christians- let's act like it. I began praying as soon as I heard, for Mercy right or wrong. For understanding right or wrong. For compassion right or wrong. You never know when it is going to be your turn. Does this make me a better Christian than everyone else. No - it means I practice what I preach. We as leaders are to be held accountable for other believers impressionable nature. We preset certain attitudes in our lifestyle. Make sure you set the right example for others to follow. God Bless!

AMEN AND AMEN !
I agree with you!!!!
The Bible tells us that when one of our brothers/sisters falls from grace: we need to do what Gal:6:1 says:Brothers if someone is caught in sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently but watch yourself or you also may be temped. If we are going to beat the enemy we need to get on one mind and one accord. There is no one perfect, no not a one but what we do is strive for prrefection. While running this race and you see someone fall, a person needs to ask themself will I stop and help them or will I just step overthem to continue on with this race. The right thing to do is show compassion and help them for great is your reward. I am with you I will be praying for Pastor Long that the Lords will be done.
what about the young men?
We make a muddle of Galatians 6:1 when we fail to notice it is instruction for direct intercession with a fallen brother. Our responsibility for the backslider turns on the meaning of the Greek word katartizō, which the King James translates "restore." It means "mend," "repair," and "perfect." The instruction is that we should take positive action to see our fallen brethren restored to right relationship with God: and to do that we have to confront them about their error.

I hope that if Bishop Long has colleagues that believe he is guilty of this sexual exploitation of teenagers in his congregation, that those folks are doing more than privately praying for him. I hope they are seeking an opportunity for some straight talk with him about what he needs to do to make this right. Sometimes a David needs a Nathan to come along side him and tell him the painful truth!
Bless you Pastor, I think you are absolutly on point. Biblical love covers a multitude of sins, right or wrong we shold cover this entire situation in love.
God Bless-Pastor Vander Williams
This situation should be judged or it will continue.
I agree I have no comment just prayer i have afamily i believe you reap what you sow so I want to sow good seeds. pray for me everybody have glass window.
We should pray for all those involved but at the same time we should use this opportunity to address homosexuality in the church as well as human sexuality. Sadly I have to admit that the allegations sound all to familiar. As someone who has been in Gospel Music for many years this was pretty much standard operations. It is time to take the covers off and deal with this issue. What people fail to realize is that satan has been around a long time and he and his demons know what works because they have been successful when it comes to family members that have preceded us that's what we call generational sin. Jesus healed and delivered then said go and sin no more. We should never leave people in their sins but should always help them and show them through God's word the path to freedom. Homosexuality is no more an acceptable lifestyle as is adultery in both cases people feel that they are in Love when actually it eros or lust. Almost a year ago I did a series entitled I Have Issues it fits right in with what is going on. I plan to update it soon because we as the body of christ have this issue and it needs to be discussed openly Here's a link to the series http://ministermike.wordpress.com/2010/09/.
Thank you Pastor, I pray for Bishop and his family, and also the young men. I agree with you 100 percent and if we truly look at our own lives there is not a lot more to say. The Kings word has been spoken in Gal 6:1 and now we must all practice what we preach. If it was me in this situation I would want real people of God to pray and surround me in Love and restore me, and even correct me. A new commandment, from the King, I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. John 13:34,35 What a perfect time to let the world see that we are not of this world, but citizens of the Kingdom of God. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this, Thou Shalt Love Thy Neighbor As Thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. Gal. 5:14,15 I think from this day froward we should speak what our Father says, not our opinion, or feeling. Homosexuality is an abomination in the sight of the King; and it is His word. So therefore because it is His word I have no opinion on it; I just speak what He says and come in agreement with His word.
Thanks for standing for truth.
thanks for brining out that aspect
I agree.. The world specialises in destroying the preacher.... we dont!

There ia no much anti-preacher junk out there it's disgusting. There are those who make a ministry out of mocking preachers. There are those who build websites to show their preaching, sorry 'policing' skills, and there is the world which is powerfless to forgive. If a man repents then the church must restore. If a man has problems he should seek help. Maybe all this reveals a generation of preachers where everyone;s online and no one's connected. We all need spiritual fathers and we all need fathers who communicate. Maybe that's our next hurdle to climb as preachers, discover the importance of communicating rather than just connecting! maybe then we can avoid problems like this because men are transparent, open and down to earth, rather then elite, upon a pedestal and untouchable. I pray for our brother, he's my brother and my heart goes out to him and so do my prayers and compassion.
