There are many things that are in the bible and there are many things that are not in the bible. Historically and biblically, the Catholic church exists outside of the Christian kingdom. Jesus started only one church and that was in Jersalem on the day of Pentecost. The Protestant churches are the offsprings of the Catholic church having no connection to the church that Jesus started with the apostles at Pentecost. Did any Hebrew teach of more than one God that trinity doctrine poses? Did Jesus, who was born a Hebrew teach of more than one God as trinity doctrine says? Why do we have to look outside of the bible to establish a trinitarian view and doctrine of God? No where in scripture we find that there is a God the Son, or God the Holy Ghost. No where in scripture do we find that there are 3 gods, nor do we find, according to some, 1 god in 3 persons. Wow! so many things are leeched onto our belief system of God really makes u wonder are u truly worshipping the God of the bible. Where do we get that God is a person other than being Jesus? Does the bible say that the Father is a person or a Spirit? John 4:24 Does the bible say that the Holy Ghost is a person? I think we really need to take a look at what is taught by Jesus in the scripture.

No, its ok! I am glad you brought this subject up. I just think this should have been a forum by itself.

John Thought
I was always believing that speaking in tongues meant the people were engulfed with the Holy Spirit and then started understanding tongues such as Greek, Hebrew, Italian and such where before they only knew their own tongue.

Dr. Maxcina
Yes, this happened at Pentcost read the book of Acts.
This has happen to several Preachers that I know of. They went to a foreign country to minister and all of sudden they were speaking the native tonque without assistance.

This happens when the Indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Another level in Christ.
Thanks Dr Gadsden. I did have a forum for this but nobody said anything and so I just mentioned it here. You are correct it shouldn't have been here. Thank you for your help.
Start a forum! Let's get other peoples opinion!
You tripping!!!!! and so judgemental I wonder if you really know Christ.....Things that make you go HHHMMMMMM.
Hi dear brothers and sisters in Christ!

Trinity is not scriptural.

The Christian God has never been a triune God. This is the comprehension of the Roman Catholic Church and its daughters, the organized churches. Trinidad is not scriptural. No, I say no! Amen!

You cannot divide the unique God into three coequal and coendless persons.
God is one person who manifested Himself of three ways:
- as the only God and Father of everything who is above all
- as the only God came in a body of flesh to save us
- as the only God in us all by the Holy Ghost.
I do not see three persons but different demonstrations of the same God here.
Ephesians 4: 5-6; 1 Timothy 3:16; Matthew 1:23; John 1: 14; Esaiah 9:5; Esaiah 35:4-6 etc.

The Scripture tells us that God was in Christ When Jesus Christ was here on earth, and in Him dwelled the fullness of the Godhead bodily, all the great powers of God was in His Son, Christ Jesus. For the reconciling the world to Himself. Amen!

Blessings,

Bro.Germain

Hi dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

The Christian God is Jesus-Christ...

Yahweh of the old Testament is Jesus-Christ in the New Testament.

Those who saw God in the Old Testament saw Him in the form of Eternal (Yahweh) and those who want to see Him in New Testament have to see Him in the form of the lord Jesus, as Emmanuel, God with us (Matthew 1 :23).

That's how the Father showed Himself in the Son:

"No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him".

John 1:18

Jesus-Christ is the Almighty God. He is the True God and Eternal Life.

1 John 5:20.

"Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,”says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Revelation 1:7-8

" looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works."

Titus 2:13-14

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever".

Hebrews 13:8

Yahweh of the old Testament is Jesus-Christ in the New Testament.

Jesus-Christ is the Christian God...

AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!

Hi dear brothers and sisters in Christ!

The only chosen place, provided by God for worship is in Jesus Christ.

We enter the mystical body of Christ by means of the Holy Spirit baptism.

“For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body - whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free - and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.”

1 Corinthians12:13

The true adorers have to Worship in Spirit and truly. God is Spirit. Amen!!!!

John 4:24.

Jesus Christ has a single Church which is built on revelation.

“And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”
Matthew 16:18

It is of this church that I am a member.

Then, tell me, about what denomination are you speaking?

Did Jesus Christ create a denomination? NO!

THE CHRISTIAN GOD, NAMELY JESUS-CHRIST HAS CREATED NO DENOMINATION. BUT HE HAS ONE CHURCH WHICH BEARS HIS NAME.

Blessings,

Bro. Germain

Interesting subject. I think I'll let you guys take this one. God is our Father. He reveals the mystery of Himself to us in His Word and by His Spirit. Ya'll be BLESSED.
Pastor Mel
The saying that God is a "person" isnt neccessarily true. God himself was not the one that became flesh. God's word, the Logos, was what became flesh. The Logos of God is God's word, wisdom, thought, reason, in the flesh. In other words, God's mind became flesh.

The Logos became flesh so that we can understand God on human terms. God himself isnt Jesus, as the scriptures may "seem" to say. Phrases like "the word was God", so the relations of the Logos, and God. It does not show that they are one in the same in the minds of a trinitarian.

The bible states that the Father is a spirit, and that he sent his logos to earth. The Holy spirit isnt a person, but he himself is a spirit as well.

Your words relate, and reveal who you are. John 8:42 shows us that Jesus proceeded forth from the Father. That shows us that Jesus is the word spoken. Before The Logos came to earth, and took on a body, it was in the mind of God. Logos is something that is abstract, you cannot necessarily see it, feel it, or touch it. You cannot touch reason, or words, or thoughts.

The Logos of God became flesh, so that we can see God's wisdom, reason, thoughts, and words in human flesh. Let us study the word so that we can be wise unto salvation!
great my brother holy ghost is not a person.Holy ghost is God.There is only one God in the Bible God of old in the OT is the Jesus of NT.And there is no place you see the God the son you will only see son of God.I love your teaching and I do teach it in my church here in Nigeria.I preach the oneness of God and Jesus is the only for baptizm.not father ,son and in the holy ghost. Can we be friend sir?

Hi apostle. Yes, we can be friends my brother. God bless
Trinity Doctrine? Biblical or Catholic Teaching

The doctrine of the Trinity is encapsulated in Matthew 28:19, where Jesus instructs the apostles: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."

The parallelism of the Father, the Son, and the Spirit is not unique to Matthew’s Gospel, but appears elsewhere in the New Testament (2 Cor.13:14, Heb. 9:14), as well as in the writings of the earliest Christians, who clearly understood them in the sense that we do today—that the Father, the Son, and the Spirit are three divine persons who are one divine being (God).

The doctrine of the Trinity must be interpreted in a manner that would be consistent with this a priori definition of the deity of God (One essence, three persons). Neoplatonic elements were unmistakably present in this definition.

The Trinity Doctrine Explanation: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God pours His Spirit into the body of Christ then fill Him with the Holy Spirit and then they became one.

Catholic Teaching: Trinity Doctrine
"All the Catholic interpreters of the divine books of the Old and New Testaments whom I have been able to read, who wrote before me about the Trinity, which is God, intended to teach in accord with the Scriptures that the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit are of one and the same substance constituting a divine unity with an inseparable equality; and therefore there are not three gods but one God, although the Father begot the Son, and therefore he who is the Son is not the Father; and the Holy Spirit is neither the Father nor the Son but only the Spirit of the Father and of the Son, himself, too, coequal to the Father and to the Son and belonging to the unity of the Trinity" (The Trinity 1:4:7 [A.D. 408]).

Trinity is known as Trinitarianism

Scriptural texts cited as implying support
To support Trinitarianism, Bible exegetes cite references to the Trinity, to Jesus as God, and both to God alone and to Jesus as the Savior.
References to the Trinity
A few verses directly reference the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit:
• Matthew 3:16–17: "As soon as Jesus Christ was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and landing on him. 17And a voice from heaven said, 'This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.' " (also Mark 1:10–11; Luke 3:22; John 1:32)
• Matthew 28:19: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (see Trinitarian formula).
• 2 Corinthians 13:14: "The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you."
• 1 John 5:7–8: "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one."
• Luke 1:35: "The angel answered and said to her, 'The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God.' "
• Hebrews 9:14: "How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!"
Jesus as God
Many verses in John, the epistles, and Revelation imply support for the doctrine that Jesus Christ is God and the closely related concept of the Trinity. The Gospel of John in particular supports Jesus' divinity. This is a partial list of supporting Bible verses:
• John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." together with John 1:14 "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." and John 1:18 "No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known."[16] The Bible says "God the One and Only" in NIV.
• John 5:21 "For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it."
• John 8:23–24: "But he continued,’ You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. I told you that you would die in your sins; if you do not believe that I am [the one I claim to be], you will indeed die in your sins.'"
• John 8:58 "I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!"[17]
• John 10:30: "I and the Father are one."
• John 10:38: "But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father."
• John 12:41: "Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus' glory and spoke about him."—As the context shows, this implied the Tetragrammaton in Isaiah 6:10 refers to Jesus.
• John 20:28: "Thomas said to him, 'My Lord and my God!'"
• Philippians 2:5–8: "Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross!"
• Colossians 1:15: "He [Jesus] is the image of the invisible God"
• Colossians 1:16: "For by him [Jesus] all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him."
• Colossians 1:17: "He [Jesus] is before all things, and in him all things hold together."
• Colossians 2:9: "For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form"
• Titus 2:13: "while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ."
• 1 Timothy 3:16: "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."
• Hebrews 1:8: "But about the Son he [God] says, "Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom."
• 1 John 5:20: "We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true—even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life."
• Revelation 1:17–18: "When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: "Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades." This is seen as significant when viewed with Isaiah 44:6: "This is what the LORD says—Israel's King and Redeemer, the LORD Almighty: I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God."
The Bible also refers to Jesus as a man, which is in line with the Trinitarian concept that Jesus was fully human as well as fully divine which is expressed through the theological concept of kenosis.
God alone is the Savior and the Savior is Jesus
The Old Testament identifies the LORD as the only savior, and the New Testament identifies Jesus Christ as God and Savior. These verses are consistent with Trinitarianism, as well as various nontrinitarian beliefs (binitarianism, modalism, the Latter-Day Saints' Godhead, Arianism, etc.)
• Isaiah 43:11: "'I, even I, am the LORD, and apart from me there is no savior.'"
• Titus 2:10: "and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive."
• Titus 3:4: "But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared," in regard with:
• Luke 2:11: "'Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.'"
• Titus 2:13: "while we wait for the blessed hope-the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,"
• John 4:42: "They said to the woman, "We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man [Jesus] really is the Savior of the world.'"
• Titus 3:6: "whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior,"
