I attended an ordination/installation service and a charge was given to the candidate. As I sat there and heard the charge, I thought we all have been given a charge. His happened to be pastoring.  As I continued to listen, the candidate was told to "preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort with complete patience and teaching." (2nd Timothy 4:2) In other words you must remain consistent in your assignment in season and out of season, regardless of what is thrown in your path.

I am in a major transition in my life because I've stepped into a new season. Anytime you step into a new season, obstacles and hindrances are waiting for you. However, your assignment is waiting as well. Do you give into the roadblocks or do you stay the course? No matter were you find yourself in this season, you must choose stay the course. Remember each new season brings greater expectation.  As you step into it, you must respond to the charge given to you. What will yours be?

Here's mine: I, Sandra Mizell Chaney, hereby accept my call and appointment to carry out my assignment as it relates to my purpose.  I will perform the duties, responsibilities, and functions for this elected position based on clear and distinct instructions given to me by God. Now it's your turn. Will you join me?  You've been charged!
