Do Christian women have a right to dress sexually provocative and say that the brothers need to control themselves? Can we truly dress how we want to dress?

Many young women wear this during church services, in the choir and doing their so called praise dances.

It is my believe that we are not to become a stumbling block for our brothers. Many sisters are quoted as saying that is his problem if he can’t contain his lust and we already know that some men’s minds are going to go where they are going to go.

According to the following scripture can a woman truly excuse her sexual dress and provocative behavior. Should a Christian woman wear anything that may cause her brother to fall.

For the record I am not talking about brothers who would be tempted by anything walking but those who struggle daily because of being exposed to underdressed women, media overexposure and so on.

Romans 14:13 KJV
Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

Great points my Brother
Great points you made brother.
What's in a person's heart is brought to the light always. A lustful heart is usually manifested outwardly by your actions as well as the way you dress. Sensuality of the heart will manifest itself in the way you dress as well. The point brother Anthony was trying to make is that, women know what entices a man, and so THEY DRESS ACCORDINGLY. No woman who dresses sensually in public is doing it out of pure innocence but has a motive behind the dress.

Anyone who can't see that is just fooling themselves. If the intent of the person's heart were holy and of God, then it would be manifested on the outside. God knows the heart of man which is why the word said it is DESPERATELY WICKED. We think we fool God with this little, "I'm innocent and I didn't know any better bit" but he knows the wickedness of the hearts of man.
To hear or read this type of preaching does a sisters heart good, knowing that people are not compromising the gospel of Jessus Christ. We do live in a world where churches compromise and fail to deliver a whole message to the people of God in fear that they will loose membership, but I say preach in season and out, reprove, rebuke with all long suffering. God is soon to come and if there's no oil in your lamps, there will be no time to go back an get any.
If they were TRULY christian women, they wouldn't want to dress provocatively...

Thank you....God is sure blessing you.

The brothers need to control themselves? Actually it should be the sisters need to behavor and control themeslves and put on some clothes that won't tempt brothers in the first place.
Ask yourself, are the sisters are trying to catch a man in church or listen to the Word?
Minister, I dont believe most young women in the church really KNOW there is a proper way to dress for a daughter of God.
They come to the church from the world and the preachers and the mothers of the church wont teach them because they think they will offend the new comers and they'll leave the pews.
Thats the devil.
The new comers (who are serious about serving the Lord) dont want MORE of the world - they want something different and pure and holy.
So they dont know any better and God will be going after the leaders in the church before He comes to judge the world.
The leaders will be judged on this very kind of thing amongst a whole host of other thngs.
You only LOOK, when you are SEARCHING out a wife.
Proverbs 18:22
Whoso FINDETH a wife FINDETH a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.
That LOOK is observed, scrutinized and so forth.
Matthew 5:28-29
I say to you, That whosoever LOOKETH on a woman to LUST after her hath COMMITTED adultery with her already in his heart. And if the right EYE offend thee, pluck it out. and cast it from thee:
Maybe if you LOOK with the LEFT eye one could possibly percieve it differently.

Via Dolorosa

Traci Brimhall

We have been telling the story wrong all along,

how a king took Philomela's tongue after he had taken

her body, and how the gods turned her into a nightingale

so she could tell the night of her grief. Even now the streets

wait for her lamentation—strays minister to bones abandoned

on a stoop, a man sleeps on the ghosts of yesterday's heat,

pigeons rest on top of the church and will not stir until they hear music below them. Inside, a woman warms up the organ and sings Via Dolorosa about a Messiah who wanted to save everyone from the wages of pleasure.

But how can I keep a man's fingers from my mouth?

How can I resist bare trees dervishing on the sidewalk?

A woman outside the train station asks, Is there a city

underneath this city? I say, Let me tell you a story,

and tell her that after Longfellow put out the fire in his wife's dress, after he buried her, after his burns turned to soft pink skin, he translated the Inferno There is a place deep in the earth for the ravished and ruined where everyone is transformed by suffering.

And the truth is that Philomela originally became a sparrow stuttering in the laurels, but the story changed with the telling. Someone wanted to give her mercy, a song. Now the truth is a red stain on her breast.

Now truth is the pulse where her tongue used to be.
