Over the years, I have heard many men and women in the holiness denominations say that women shouldn't wear pants in the church.

Were is the scripture to support the ideology that women shouldn't wear pants? If it is in scripture then I would have to ask why are men wearing pants? Did men wear pants in biblical times or did their wear something that covered their loins and then long robe like attire? I mean isn't that what you depict in your biblical plays? So why aren't the men being asked to wear similar apparel in the church to maintain a outward appearance of holiness? Why aren't they asked to not cut their hair (both facial and head)

What are the clothing designations for men in the holiness denominations.

After all, without holiness NO man/woman shall see God.....

Brother Alfred,

LOL! What we wear (or how we wear our hair, for that matter) will not make a whit of difference regarding our eternal destiny! My mission is to win souls (step 1 - make disciples), grow disciples into the truth of Jesus (step 2 - mature believers), and train and raise up leaders to repeat steps 1 and 2 (step 3 - multiply ministries). That, my Brother, is Kingdom focus! I praise God that because I have repented of my sins, believed on the name of Jesus, and confessed Him as Lord, I know my name IS written in the Lamb's book of life. God bless you, too, My Brother!

Brother Pastor,

One word, Amen! Like yourself, I was called by God by His audible voice. I had no peace until I yielded to His will. However, once I began to plug into my purpose, I received my divine assignment, now I walk in my destiny. I think we are losing collective traction because we are spinning our wheels on immaterial subject matter. We need to be about making disciples, maturing believers, and multiplying ministries; it's just that simple! Stay Blessed!

AMEN AMEN AMEN
Please my brothers don't brush this off as something that doesn't merit a time of day, because you are where you are.  We need to understand not by where we are, but by what is said in the Word of God that will come to be questioned of who we represent in what we say and do.  I agree with you, however, we teach and tell by simplifing so much so, that a child could understand. Not because they can't understand, but because we want to make sure they do.  Kingdom living and Kingdom thinking needs to be taught over and over, just to make sure they get it.  I feel your spirit and you are in a good place, Ephesians wants us to take someone there with us, by jointly fitting together your part in anything we are dealing with.  Someone needs it to be made clear to them what the Spirit of the Lord Jesus is saying for this Dispensation and pants is one of the issues Jesus is dealing with within the women of the Sancutaries.  Connect to it as if it is you, but know it is not about you.  Sometimes people are missing a one little piece of the puzzle to complete the picture or our walk with the Lord Jesus.  Not that they are in bondage, they just need the other piece.  Elaborate on what you said and I myself when reading it, may even get another piece I need and didn't know I even needed it.  Because I do understand the Kingdom is within us, I could go farther but thats what the Lord gave you to say, so stop being stingy (smile) and give us a little more.  I have no since of pride about having a teachable spirit.  Just know when our sisters or brothers are having a problem with anything, we are connected by the Blood of Jesus Christ, so their problem is our problem.  None of us know until somebody tells us, I for one enjoy hearing how the Lord Jesus can deal with the hearts and minds of His people who are called by His Name.  I love you in Christ Jesus be Blessed!
I think there are way more problems that we need address besides clothes...not to discount your question in any way, but we have some major issues going today and clothes should be last on the list....How we look as christians period is the problem, people are questioning churches/preaches because of their behavior in the public eye...that's our biggest problem today... Homosexuality/Molestation/Adultery/prosperity preaching (falsely) etc..to name a few!....love u and God Bless
Amen, Brother Bishop!

EXCUSE ME...HOLINESS HAS LITTLE TO DO WITH WHAT WE WEAR!

IT'S A SPIRITUAL CONDITION OF THE HEART!

THE VERSE MOST PREACHERS SKIP RIGHT OVER...IS

" TO KNOW NO MAN ...(OR WOMAN).... AFTER THE FLESH!"

Amen!
My spirit says Amen to most of what have been said, especially to Romans14:14-20, I don't want to cause anyone to stumble because of something 'I' want to do or to lose their sight spiritually because they trust the God in me.  Jesus humbles me to even learn from all of you, because the question it self arising means to me, there is something the Lord Jesus wants us to look at more than who is right and who is wrong.  In this day and time we must know what the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ is saying to us as individuals with the relationship that we have with Him.  We can't answer for each other when this life is over, but we can jointly fit together and be a keeper for each others soul.  I have witnessed what wearing pants too tight in the Sanctuary can cause of our brothers in Christ and how the focus of ministering in pants can take away from listening to what is being said.  We can compare ourselves to men if we please and thats ok, however, we must also, remember to be true to ourselves of what the real truth is and how we need to face it.  If we acknowledge Christ in all that we do and say, there will be no debate only help with love.  Because directions are in the Word and He always send someone to confirm it to us.  I count it all joy that I read this on this day, even though it is a touchey subject all of your words Blessed me.   For me, this confirms to my spirit what the Lord has shown me for this year, I need to wear pants less and less in the Sancutary and be more conscious of who I am representing.  It is not about us, it about who we can and will affect.    Thank you all beautiful people of God especially the one who started this, the Lord Jesus used you more then you know.   I take something from each one of your statments to add to what has been given to me.   The Book of Jude tells us what we are really dealing with in the church, which is us; we are the church and the Sancutary something have crepted in and we must fight it, not each other.  The Book of Numbers tells us what He is getting ready to do about it.  So Be Blessed!  Love you all and thanks again.

My dear friend I read your reply to the long debated discussion of pants.  I do not think people should trust the God in you.  They should trust God period.

you wrote "  I have witnessed what wearing pants too tight in the Sanctuary can cause of our brothers in Christ and how the focus of ministering in pants can take away from listening to what is being said."

Are you watching the brothers watch the women?  This is what your post infers.

You say that the directions arein the word but the word s subject to many interpretaitons.  In the first place the word we have is at best fifth hand interpretaiton and then that interpretation is changed depending on what type of bible you use.

I believe that people who abide by the bible must realize that if there was a common thread amoung believers no one can find it anymore so just obey god and leave everybody else alone

I see there is still comments on this topic....John 15:5 I am the Vine ye are the branches the same shall bring forth much fruit for WITHOUT me you can do NOTHING....allow the spirit of God to lead and guide you men and women of God in what you should wear.  The Bible teaches that also.  Luke 9:23  He said to them ALL ... If any man will come after me, let him DENY himself and take up his cross DAILY and FOLLOW me.  We need not to lean to our own understanding...the WORD is plain as day....we must not add or take nothing away from the Word of God.  NO EXCUSES.

Obey...Obey...Obey...OBEDIENCE is the key, we just don't want to OBEY.

In Love, Sis. Denise
