Why do Pastors Fall?

This is an issue to be consider with deep thought. Some will say I can't attend a church where the pastor fell into adultery or one sin or the other. But I think knowing the reason why they fell will help us because events do reoccurs.

Thanks Chas for the contribution but the truth remains that if What happened to King David should happened today to any Minster of the gospel he/she will be crucified. Even when he/she had made peace with God. People will see him as not being worth of representing God again.

 

I agree there is a need for the sheep to keep the shepherd lifted up in the place of prayer. But why do Pastor falls? There are report of astrocities that are being commited by a lot of Pastors and this is not a good report.

I want to examine the text  let us take a closer look shall we James makes the statement to resist the Devil and he will flee.The passage is more centered around conduct with in the walls of the Church.Look at verse4 it tells us about being friends with the world and if we are we are enemies of  God . The beginning of verse 7 says to submit to God he is again talking about Church conduct that is why the next verse say Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord and verse 11 then he says dont talk about one another . The idea James is getting at is the body of Christ should act kind to one  another  again there is no choice there of sinning are not to sin . If u start at verse1 u get a better background of the passage he tell them of there conduct James speaks of fights among u and the cravings that are at war within you this is  all about bad conduct not the choice of sin are not to sin sorry it is not in there.

That would be do wonderful but it is not true In Genesis Ch 3 there was a perfect  situation with God and Adam and yet sin became a part of there lives it was a deception after being warned of tree in the garden of good and evil . It was still sin none the less the point and the focus is that we sin because of the out father Adam in a none perfect fallen world . The bible tell we are born in sin and shaped in iniquity why that because our parents are sinners . The only way we escape this  is when we reach perfection and that does not happen on this side . To have those we are accountable to is nice but they are sinners as well . The whole idea is to lean on Christ and do as David says ask forgiveness as he has said against u and u alone have i sinned against

no just the truth . I fall is a fall a sin is a sin . all of them are the same in the sight of God . 1John tells us that as well my little children i am writing these things to you that u do not sin . And if anyone sins we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He himself is the propitiation for our sin; and not for ours but also for the whole world . The verse is clear that we can try to walk as perfect as we can but we always have someone pleading our case, If these men and women where perfect then there is no need for a savoir at all
