Over the years, I have heard many men and women in the holiness denominations say that women shouldn't wear pants in the church.

Were is the scripture to support the ideology that women shouldn't wear pants? If it is in scripture then I would have to ask why are men wearing pants? Did men wear pants in biblical times or did their wear something that covered their loins and then long robe like attire? I mean isn't that what you depict in your biblical plays? So why aren't the men being asked to wear similar apparel in the church to maintain a outward appearance of holiness? Why aren't they asked to not cut their hair (both facial and head)

What are the clothing designations for men in the holiness denominations.

After all, without holiness NO man/woman shall see God.....

MY PERSONAL THOUGHTS ARE...WE NEED TO GROW UP, GET PAST ALL THE TRADITIONAL

LEGALISM OF THE PAST...AND QUIT BEING CARNAL!   GOD IS A SPIRIT!  HE MADE MAN TO

BE A "SPIRITUAL MAN!" ..NOT A CARNAL MAN, A PHYSICAL MAN, NOR A MENTAL MAN!

THE WORD SAYS; "TO KNOW NO MAN...(OR WOMAN) AFTER THE FLESH!!!""

" IN CHRIST...THERE'S NEITHER MALE NOR FEMALE!"

" THEY THAT WORSHIP HIM...MUST (NOT AN OPTION) WORSHIP HIM...IN SPIRIT AND IN TRUTH!"

LETS' GET PAST RELIGIOUS STUFF, JUDGEMENTELISIM,..AND GET BUSY ABOUT THE KINGDOM

BUSINESS OF WINNING THE LOST...AND ESTABLISHING THE KINGDOM!!

ANOTHER THOUGHT; "WE DON'T GO TO CHURCH".  WE DON'T DO CHURCH,.."WE ARE THE

CHURCH!" " YE ARE THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY GHOST!" ...AMEN?

BE ENCOURAGED...IN HIM- BUFORD DOWELL

not trying to be funny....but did they even wear pants back then?...i mean even the males didn't actually wear pants...don't get me wrong I do think that if any females are up and doing any kind of singing/preaching/ministering and etc...they shouldn't have on jeans...and lets be real...me being a musician..(playing for a church and two groups..with one them that just came from the apollo and sung with B. courtney Wilson)...females having on pants especially becomes a distraction and anything that is distraction or could cause one we should have 2nd thoughts about....even for me..i really don't like to wear suits..but i have to be careful about the shirts that i do wear because i work out so much i can't put females in the position to start lusting after me...which i have done plenty of times and not really knowing that i was doing that, but it was a eye opener because you will be amazed how many ppl be checking you up and down and having thoughts....even so called ladies who are minister, eveng, and 1st ladies...we just have to be mindful of what we are wearing and how we are presenting ourselves both ladies and males.

it does not matter what we were to church.... God is looking at the Heart we have.. Not what we have on.. That is what is wrong with the world and church always judge mental of others....

I bind the sprit of hipocrites on the airways and on this page.. That is why it is so hard for church to get sinners to come in

we need to stop looking at what people have on ... Let God be the judge not us. Why would enyone want to come in

to the clicks in the churches or the hipocrites in them or all of the other stuff. They may as well stay out in the world.

The church acts likes the world most of the time. people cannot tell the difference!!!!!!!!!  They go to church on sunday..

Live like Dogs the rest of the week. cursing backbiting, whatever  So who are the church people trying to fool thereselves...

Why R we still wasting time on this, when so many people are dying , and sick, and hurting from Church rejection?
We need to clean out our own minds as Romans 12:1 states!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Long time topic ..... it's sinply saying don't wear clothing that belong to the opposite sex,,, don't dress in drag.

I don't know why it seems to be so hard for mamy to understand. God want men to look like men and women to look like women. we know what articles of chothing belong to the opposit sex men pants are for men and women pants are for women, and when we get it twisted it looks demonic.  men looking like women, and women looking like men, in the house of God we shouldn't have to guess your gender.. when washed in the blood of the lamb.

In Love ... don't worry God's got your back

Pastor ALfonzo

this is a subject that must be approached gingerly...I believe that the scripture makes reference to women dressing modestly.  While a nice dress or skirt is always appropriate to go to the House of the LORD a wonderful tailored pant suit with a lovely blouse is also appropriate I believe.   If you are in ministry always remember that no matter what your position you set the standard for the House.  If the worship leaders wear pants so will the people in the congregation and chances are if the Pastor is a woman and she wears pants it sets the tone for the entire body.  The scripture makes reference to dressing modestly and that is different to different people so my mother used to say if you have to ask the queston chances are you should not wear them.  If you have a question about whether or not someting is appropriate chances are it isn't or you wouldn't question it.

When something is right you know it.

I was taught that it is an abomination in the sight of the Lord, for women to wear pants.
