In John 15:13 it states, Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends...

So many Christians are calling Jesus a friend.

Are we really willing lay down our lives for Christ?

Laying down our lives doesn’t necessarily mean death.  And yet it does.

Laying aside our fleshly ways, giving up things we desire to do when the Spirit of God is telling us to do another.  Pushing the plate aside, turning off CNN, Not running the streets with friends.

These are things that are sacrifices from time to time.

If we call Jesus a friend, the greater love is throwing off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles us, and putting on the ways of God that we can be transformed daily into the righteousness of the One who called us from darkness into His marvelous light.

Are we willing to lay aside us and call Jesus a friend?

Just a Thought...

Point taken. But my point was if we call Jesus friend and don't lay down our fleshy ways and mind, how can we know the mind of Christ...
Brother no disrespect, but I wrote what the Spirit of the Lord spoke to my heart. If you take a look at the next verse, it states, 14 - you are my friend if you do what I command you. 15 - I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business.

It's very relevant to what I wrote...
