MANY TIMES MINITERS FIND THEMSELVES NOT FULLY BEING UTILIZED BY THEIR PASTORS USING THEIR GOD GIVEN TALENTS.  WHAT EVER HAPPEN TO WHAT GOD HAS FOR ME, IS FOR ME. AS PASTORS, ONE NEED TO PRACTICE WHAT THEY PREACH.  TRUST IN GOD, AND LEAN NOT YOUR OWN YOUR UNDERSTANDING. REMEMBER THAT MINISTERS ARE ASSETS, NOT LIABILITIES.  KEEP IN MIND THAT MORE LIKELY THAN NOT THAT IF PEOPLE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO EXERCISE THESE GIFTS/TALENTS "GOD" AND "GOD ONLY" WILL EITHER TAKE THE GIFTS/TALENTS AWAY OR REDIRECT THEM TO ANOTHER PLACE WHEREAS THEY (MINISTERS) WILL BE ABLE TO EXERCISE THESE GIFTS/TALENTS.  AS PEOPLE OF COLOR IT MAY AS WELL BE A "BLACK-THING" WHEREAS INSTEAD OF APPRECIATING THE WORK THAT ONE HAS DONE, WE ALLOW THE FLESH TO TAKE OVER, AND BECOME SPIRITUAL HATTERS.

And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues.

Here are some of the parts God has appointed for the church: first are apostles, second are prophets, third are teachers, then those who do miracles, those who have the gift of healing, those who can help others, those who have the gift of leadership, those who speak in unknown languages.

i do and i have no problem with that at all
but the idea is that u should not have to fight in your own house . that is so sad that it is O. K  not allow u to help develop those who are coming behind u . Yes all of those places are are wonderful but the Pastor should want to make an investment and the ones who God has called under his leadership. In the Corporate world they dont do that u get out there and learn but not in the house of God .

Most pastors think they are invincible, they are not going to die or they want to stay in the pulpit long after they are over due for a nursing home.  They just don't want to pass the baton (mantle).

Whenever you are no longer at peace then it's time to move on and or start your own ministry if you know that you are called to pulpit ministry.
