I was in a discussion with someone and the subject of should a church tithe to another church or the spiritual parents of the pastors.
Is this something we were taught or is their a scripture base behind it?
Malachi 3:10 says we are to bring it in God's house to take care of the needs of church and the people in need as the early church in acts.
I would love the views and the opinions of other Pastors.

Be and Stay Blessed
While I am serving under a non-denominational ministry and church having no denominational ties; serving as a Pastor, Dean of Education, Men’s Ministry Overseer, Trustee Board Member, Teacher, and Preacher I do however wish to possess “Spiritual Covering.” There are three (3) scriptures that serve as a foundation and support for being under the authority of another ministry that I need to follow, they are:
“For I am a man UNDER AUTHORITY, having soldiers UNDER me…..” -Matthew 8:8-9
“Let every soul be SUBJECT (Submitted) to the HIGHER POWERS (authority)…..” -Romans 13:1
“For though you have TEN THOUSAND INSTRUCTORS in Christ, yet have ye not many FATHERS: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten (birthed) you through the gospel” –I Corinthians 4:15
I pray that you will become my spiritual covering at this time of Blessings that God has connected us through.

God’s Grace
Pastor Horn, Sr. Th.D.
I agree with moreh, Tithing is not for us. Since The Levites were not given land, God ordained for them to accept the tithes of the land as their inheritance.
Hello, I am from North Carolina. Wow! This is a real tough question. It is my belief that if you are the member of your own church, you are to use your tithes to your own home church to help and support the needy at home church. I know lot saints that pay big tithes at other church instead of their own home church which is not right. Your home church come first. My mom who is the pastor of Bible Way Pentecostal Holiness Church. She preached about tithes and offering yesterday. I really agreed with all comments.
Christian stewardship of life and financial resources
• Luke 22:1-4 And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
2: And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
3: And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:
4: For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had
• James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning
• 1st Corinthians 4:2 Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
• 1st Corinthians 16: 1-2 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
2: Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

Christian stewardship and Christian giving work hand in hand. Generosity is one of the primary ways in which Christians evidence the fruit of the Spirit at work in their lives. In Acts 10:4 and 10:31, God blessed Cornelius and stated, "Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God." James 1:27 tells us, "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress..." Galatians 2:10 encourages us to "remember the poor."
When Jesus saw the widow putting her "two pennies" in the Temple treasury, He told His disciples, "Truly, I say to you, this poor widow has put in more than all those who are contributing to the treasury. For they all contributed out of their abundance; but she out of her poverty has put in everything she had, her whole living" (Mk. 12:43-44). And that is what God expects from us.
God gave us life and the gift of eternal life. He created us for Himself, and He wants our total person (cf. Mt. 19:16-24). How we use the resources in our control expresses our gift of self to God. In short, God doesn't want our resources, He wants us.
My brother I am a christain in faith of yashua wich jesus in hebrew there is no letter J in the hebrew language,,,you and I are going to be the most hated people on this web site because we know and read the truth,I have preached in many churches and went through hell in the church, dealing with preachers I have been used to raise money for building funds and the preachesrs kept the money $750,000 and when I approach the pastor he tried to expose me from the pulpit in front of 600 people but it did not work,,so when I see preachers drivng bentlys and rolls and they say IF JESUS WAS HERE THIS IS WHAT HE WOULD BE DRIVING,,well my brother you know like I do that jesus performed 43 miracles in the bible and No where does the bible, tora or Koran say that he went home ,,WHY?..because during hid pilgrimage of the gospel he did not have a home ,,he was homeless this is why he said that ,,FOXES HAVE HOLES ,BIRDS HAVE NEST BUT THE SON OF MAN HAS NO PLACE TO REST HIS HEAD,,and I would challenge any Preached, Bishop, Apostal,,or whoever if they would read they will see that God did not send Jesus top get the peoples money..I understand that must receive a pay but 5 cars 3 jets and a 7000sq.foot home while people living on warefare, public housing ,and Social security
I fully agree that it is Ok to tithe to another church ,,I want to talk a little on bring all your tithes into the store house, first of all back then it was not just money and we need to get our mind off ITS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY because we handcuff God to move in other areas of our lives .they was bringing in food and clothing and donating some of there time as well,my qustion is if a preacher preaches in your church he should tithe back into the vineyard,BUT if you take up a offering of $15,000 does he get all of it or what you want him to have ?you see a speakers offering is just that all that goes into the basket
point taken
back then it was live stock, maid servants, food and wine, and portions of there harvest during sacrificing..Abraham did pay to Melchezedek but it was the spoil from a war..but the bible did not call it money..I agree keep asking for money brings the wrong spirit in the church yashua told the young rich man to release everything and come follow me and he could not give everything away,,Who knows he could've been the 13 deciple
I believe that it is right to tithe. My Father in the Gospel is also my Pastor and Bishop. We have established the fact the that the Lord has called, chosen, and anoited me to pastor. Because I know I need a covering, I have elected to pastor under my Bishop. In my opinion, He is my pastor, and I should tithe to his ministry. Because the church I'll be over is apart of his ministry, I believe he should receive a tithe from the church as well. We have a sister church, and once a month, they tithe to the Headquarters church. Not because they were made to...but because we just believe it's right to do.

Jesus said, render unto Ceasar the things which are Ceasar's and unto God the things that are God's. In my mind I look at the tax collectors as 'pastors' so to speak under Ceasar (the overseer.) Each district collects what they require, and then a portion is sent to Ceasar's treasury. (I think i said that right.) That's how I picture it in my mind. And should I fall on hard times, or be in need...it's the responsibility of the Headquarters church to send help. That's how I see it.
That's just my opinion.
God says to bring all the tithes and offerings into the storehouse that their may be meat in my house... Funny how we can strive to tithe and offer so that the Bishops etc..... can have everything but the houses are not standing, by that i mean if the church is an hospital, it most assuredly should be a kitchen,,, an social welfare network. if this is the common thought then where are the tithes going....????????????????????
Well, in the Bible is telling us about tenth in tithes so it has to do with money.
I agreed with what you said. Amen!
Some people just don't get it
