2 Corinthians 4:2, "But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God."

2 Corinthians 4:7, "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

1 Thessalonians 1:5-, "For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.  And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost: So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia. For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.   "

1 Thessalonians 2:13, "For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received [it] not [as] the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe."

2 Timothy 2:15-21, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.  And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.  But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.  If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work."

2 Timothy 3:16-17, "All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."

Also read Hebrew 13 (emphasis: verses 7-17)

AFTER reading all of the scriptures, what is your answer - are you taught by man or by the Holy Ghost?

That is NOT true.

If ALL "Christians" had the Holy Spirit WORKING in them we wouldn't have the mes we have now going on in the church among each other.

So, let's put that lie to rest.

I think the mind set of this world which directly impacts the ideology, theology and teachings of man is contrary to the mind of God which is also the mind of the Kingdom.  Philippians 2:5, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:"  Romans 12:2, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

We still have Sadducees, Pharisees and "doctors of the law" disguised as modern day theologians and philosophers.  The "doctors of the law" were those who among Christians went about as champions and interpreters of the Mosaic law.

The Sadducees did not believe that the oral law was a revelation from God and only recogonized a strict intepretation of the written law.  The Pharisees were concerned with religious ceremonial rites through prayer, fasting, ceremonial washings, etc.  Many people today believe if they observe these rites, it guarantees them a ticket to heaven.

There are many people in ministry who are solely influenced by man's theological ideology through a strict interpretation of scriptures absent a prophetic revelation from God.  Revelation from God is manifest through the Spirit.  I like how the preacher sarcastically engages the Sadducees and Pharisees according to Matthew 3:7, " But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?"

The preacher just explained that he was the manifestation of a prophetic word that was spoken by the prophet Esaias (word is still the same yesterday, today & forever).  The preacher now explains that just as sure as this prophetic word came to pass, every false doctine and teaching of man that is being spread to poison the mind of men, rest assure, believe it if you want to, but there is going to be hell to pay in the end. (from the sermon: I'm Not Made to Bend).

I agree.

Where is the sermon "I'm Not Made to Bend"

Sister Lovitha,

I preached this sermon a couple of weeks ago.  It's taken from Matthew 3.  It deals with the "wilderness of the mind" which symbolizes wandering away from the word of God and being worldly or carnal minded.

The preacher says, "Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."  The Greek word "metanoeo" (repent) means to change ones mind.

We will never receive our blessing if we are following the mind-set of this world.  The doctor will have you on 5 and 6 different types of prescription medications (number 1 killer today).  The mind of the Kingdom tells us that God has already healed us.  Where is this healing?  It's in the Kingdom.  Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.  The world will tell you that you don't have the right type of education, you have the wrong skin color and that you will never own your own business.  Keep listening to this world and you will never possess the land.

What! What! Really! Really!....in my best pro-wrestler voice.....You make know sense at all PITBULL. Yes I have gone to Africa before being a seminary student. Remember I have a Bible College degree and I went during my college studies if you must know! I have also gone during my seminary studies as well.

I am not flawed in my premise in any way...yet I don't expect you to understand that. What you know my spirit; what's its name? LOL ROTFLOL

You Charismatics know a lot more than the rest of us.....So I guess you are right!

I am asking you if you were teaching and preaching without being seminary trained or having graduated from college?  Yes or No.  Then why are you so critical of non-seminary students?  1 John 4:6, "We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error."

I have stated this before and will again

I started pastoring my first church in the Houston area without any education and soon learning that I did not know enough to be a pastor so I enrolled in Bible College to learn the Word of God and the Historical Christian Faith. So Yes I have preached without any education. I am not critical of those without education; I try to encourage them to get an education from a good Bible College of Seminary.

Not all schools are created equally.

Good.  Let me ask you if you believe that you were teaching in error prior to seminary training?

If so, do you believe that you have caused detriment to the body of Christ because you were in error?

And do you believe that all people who do not attend seminary are preaching and teaching in error?

Thanks for sharing until next time.

Okay you ask if I was in error when before I earned my first degree, the truth is YES! My dear mother and a brother from the church I pastored sat me down and walked me through my problem; once I learned that I was not teaching in line with the Historical Christian Faith, I fell to my knees, begged God for His forgiveness! That is how I ended up in Bible College. Thank you for asking!

Be bless I have Hebrew class tonight, will talk to you later!

Brother Roderick,

Does you mother and brother have a seminary education from an accredited college?

Man you make no sense! I answered your question I was teaching in error and I stopped what I was doing to go and learn. I stepped down from that church I once pastored, they were blessed by that as was I. That is it.
Please don't become offensive and simply answer the question.  We are trying to better understand the various paths that a person may take in his/her personal quest for biblical and spiritual understanding.  Did your mother and brother have a seminary education from an accredited institution?
