There is a comment we use in Christiandom which tends to really be abrasive as you are going through. Personally, I am in spiritual transition. Nothing in my life is familiar and there is absolutely no point of reference to where God has me. The foundation of my faith is secure in that God is faithful, He loves me, and He will take care of me. In that there are good days and bad days and when I have bad days I tend to seclude because people tend to say the most foolish things. The last thing I want or need to hear is that "God is testing me." God knows me and his word says that He would not give us more than we can bare. If I am discouraged to imply that God gets some glory out of me being discouraged is outlandish. Now don't get me wrong, I know there are some super spiritual folks that there is some theological base on which they would like to represent this but I will rest on Job was not tested by God - Satan tested him. God continued to sustain Job during the trial and Job held on because at the end of the day when all else is gone - I need to count on the loving kindness of my God and his care, concern and provision for me.

HEllo my sister,
I believe that the Lord does tests us to see what's in our heart , not that he doesn't know, but it's for us to know.
But, he doesn't tempt us!! The scripture say that the trying of your faith, what is trying if not testing! James 1:
Even if we look at it as God allowing, isn't that the same thing? HE allowed Job to be tested, and job went through the trials, and passed them all. We need to know what's in our hearts and if we never go through, we won't know. But of course the Lord already promised to bring us out of them all. Tests, trials, and temptations!!!!
We must pass the test!!!!
I don't believe that - give me a scriptural reference. It is church tradition and lingo that states that we are "tested". Ironically, I heard a sermon that was titled "What do you do when you don't know what to do" and the answer was trust in God is (his character) and His relationship to you. Life brings challenges God brings solutions. To state that God is testing when we are homeless, jobless and suffering is not scriptural. "He states he would not give us more than we could bare." We need to encourage people not give them it's a test God is trying to get some glory out of your life - how insensitive. Mind you, I've told this all my life from Believers. God bless you and thank you for the dialogue.

Psalms 26:2 Examine me, O Lord, and prove me: TRY my reigns and my heart.
Jeremiah 17:10 I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
Zechariah 13:9 and I will bring the third part through the fire, and will TRY them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.
1 Corinthians 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and fire shall TRY every man's work of what sort it is.
! Peter 4:12 Beloved, think it not strange the fiery trial which is to TRY you, as though some strange thing happened unto you.

We must be tested (tried) in-order too know who we are in God. And also for God too prove who he is through us
Yes God does bring solution, but he also allows the trials and temptations in-order to prove us.
Through Homelessness, and being jobless, It is a way for God to show and prove himself.

The story of Job, in chpt. 1 verse 11, Satan said to the Lord, ( put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.
Did God not allow These things to befall him,
Joseph, was he not tested and tried, JESUS was he not tested and tried, Paul, was he not tested and tried.
The Lord speaking of Sauls conversion
Acts 9:16- For I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake. (should we not?)
If we believe in Christ that is one thing, If we suffer in his name it is another. For to suffer in this present age, means to reign in another. Christ suffered/was tested, so who are we not too suffer for his name sake.
He said that he supplies our every need, so for the sister too sell her body for food clothing and shelter etc.. shows where her faith is, we all far too often give up in the middle of our trying , or stop too wonder why, but if we will learn too go through, he will help us pass these tests.
TRYING AND TESTING ARE ONE IN THE SAME.
Revalation 7;13-17)
And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, what are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
And I said unto him, sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.
They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
