We have many instructor but not many fathers. Is it that no one wants to be fathered or is it that there aren't enough fathers available? Please give your input.

The instructors are spiritually matured but mentally immatured to be a father. They don't know how to relate/handle issues/people.
Thank you for you input. We need open and honest communication, so that these issues can be properly addressed.

It's not just women, Brother Watson. Many African-American men have no positive experience with natural fathers to draw upon. They felt either abused or neglected, assuming they even had a relationship with the man that sired them. I think this is why we are a more querrulous generation than the Church has ever seen! We are quick to challenge leadership, we are distrustful of everyone's motives, we equate discipline with abuse, and we refuse to submit. To grossly generalize, being "fathered" feels so alien to us, we flee from father-figures in the Church. We're like children raised by wolves.

That is an interesting argument. Of course, the church discipline I was referring to is not physical, and the submission is not compulsory. But it is interesting to consider that some of our generation's resistance to authority in the church could be push-back against the abusive chastisement of previous generations of parents. That might have some sociological merit.

We have ten thousand (countless) false prophets/prophetess, apostles & bishops who all want to be the mouthpiece of the Lord, but really they are more concerned with showmanship, hype and gross receipts (money).  Church has become big business.

The "Burger King Generation" is to have it your way and you can be anything that you want to be in life.  Society suggests that no one should be able to tell you what to do, be free to express yourself however you see fit and to play by your own set of rules.  Most people love themselves and the world's rules more than God and his rules.

I thank God Almighty for my Father in the Faith (The Late Rev. Bruce Ferguson), and his father (my "spiritual Grandfather", Bishop James Ferguson).

There are PLENTY of Fathers in the Faith. The problem is that, like society, the scandals get way more recognition that the work of true Fathers. In the secular world, much money is invested into so-called "reality TV" with vulgar behavior, while little is done to bring attention to responsible figures. Father's Day is a time that goes virtually unrecognized, not because there aren't any fathers, but simply because it goes unrecognized. Even if we have a few, the few we have should be fully acknowledge. I mean no offense when I say this, but I speak the truth: posts like this seem to be good for conversation, and sometimes are, but they often make spiritual fathers seem non-existent, and are breeding grounds for angry people. Its kind of hard to celebrate a real spiritual them while you're directing nearly focus on who isn't doing the job right.

Jeremiah 8:10, "Therefore will I give their wives unto others, [and] their fields to them that shall inherit [them]: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely."

Jeremiah 8:11, "For they have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when [there is] no peace."

The only way to improve upon what you already have is to further assess the state of any given situation.  When God worked in the book of Genesis he would stop and evaluate and he "saw that it was good."  We all can stand discussing ways on how to improve the current state of affairs as a whole.

Malachi 4:6, "And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse."  We are witness to a curse over society as a whole.

Apostle Greene,
I agree. There are plenty of Kingdom Fathers that know how to properly circumcise and develop SONS. These are the MEN we should be awarding our LOVE, RESPECT and ADMIRATION. We (the seasoned MEN of the KINGDOM) should be developing SONS that will do what they have seen their FATHERS do.

Amen
