What does prosperity mean to the Body of Christ.  Does it has any place in teaching, is it

for the body, should it be taught or should it be ignored.  What is biblical prosperity?

What does the bible has to say about this topic?

I Never said that! !!!! I have lived on both sides so I have experienced it...you are talking to the wrong person sissy.

Bro. Rollins, I meant no offense, was just trying to say that riches is not just monetary and prosperity is a promised gift from God that He will give into the bosom of men to assist those who are willing to obey.  The Give and it shall be given unto you, was all I was saying.

I believe prosperity is God's way.  This devil has taken prosperity and twisted it to make the world believe that it's wrong for God's people to be prosperous in all their ways.  The Word of God says, above all things, I wish you be in good health and prosper even as your soul prosper.  God wants us to be prospers in all things so we can further the Kingdom of God along.

We can't look to the world to fund our house when we're living in it.  God is looking for His people to be this way to come to the need of the community in which we live.  We speak about the church and what the duties are of those who dwell there.  If we can't provide the needs of those who are lost, how can we have a door of opportunity to minister to their spiritual needs?

The world when their hungry, are we going to give them the word of God?  No!  First we have to have necessities to minister to their natural needs then they will see we are truly Children of God and God will then give us a word to minister to their spiritual needs.

Some in the church feels God's people are suppose to be poor and needy.  I beg the differ!  If we as people of God are rich in the Spirit of God and the things of God, then I believe we're supposed to be whole in all aspects of our lives.

Look at the Children of Israel.  Even though they roamed in the desert for 40 years, they were rich in material things.  God also touched Pharaoh and his people to give to the Children of Israel all their silver and gold.

Look at Abraham, one of the wealthiest men of God.  I believe when we become willing and obedient to the Word of God, we shall eat the good of the land.

I know it's a growing process for those in the body of Christ, but there is coming a time where you won't be able to lean on what your own abilities are and the resources you have.  God has a way of snatching it away for you to learn to lean on Him...

Yes!  Prosperity should be taught in the church.  Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God.  Also testimonies should be given on how one believed God and God blessed their socks off.

When you have a leader who really cares for the sheep, they want the body of Christ to be blessed to assist the leader with the vision of the house.

I heard this preached by Creflo Dollar, very eloquently I would say.

Wow! Sis Jones;

This is just confirmation what God is saying.  I rarely listen to Creflo Dollar.  This message is being preached in the churches now about God brining us into our wealthy place.  The wealth transfers has begun.  We as people of God need to be in a place where we can receive it when it happens.  If not, that wealth will pass us by.

Yes, God has a way of confirming His word.  His promises of wealth is throughout the scripture in every area of the lives of those who believe and obey.

thats a LIE!!!

You're welcome Elder

Amen, Sister Cynthia!

Prosperity, wealth, health and protection were initially set up by God for man in the Garden of Eden.  The consequences of sin altered the original design that was established by God.  Ezekiel 28:13, "Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone [was] thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.  However, the "Doctrine of Prosperity" being taught today, "Name It and Claim It" are not biblical doctrines.

.

For most people having less is more.  The less of this world the more of the Kingdom.  Most people cannot handle tremendous amounts of wealth.  God won't give it to you either.  Matthew 19:21, "Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go [and] sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come [and] follow me."  Matthew 19:22, "But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions."  Children of God do not follow money.  Money follows them.  Do you want to prosper?  Follow Christ.

If people would only wake up,why would God make his people worldly wealthy, just to rapture us real soon? makes no sense, stop believing the liars and serving the creation..if God wanted his people to all be wealthy they would already be there...there are people who never have a thought of God or his son Jesus, and are wealthy who blessed them? WAKE UP CHURCH FOLK!!! when they preach worldly wealth THEY ARE ALL LYING!!
