There are many teachers and doctrines that are of the Christian faith. It is very difficult to discern if the person is doing the sermon for money (profit) or if they are really speaking what thus saith the Lord. Can one trust a collar and who is ordanining these preachers who are now multi-millionaires. Is it wrong to be a preacher that lives in a mansion with a Bentley that flies a Jet?
2 Corinthians 11:3-
But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.

Yeah ok....the issue wasn't to simplify it was to make it more simple that's why it required much more than the average one liners. Then what therefore is your definition of an Apostle??? And I have a wonderful life with a great family and much relaxed and more than that at peace and am free. Whom the son sets free is free indeed. And we all have been bought out into a wealthy place. All depends on how you define "wealth" is the real issue. And I speak every week almost 3 times per week thank you. And it seems to me if you learned how to be abased and abound you more than anyone would know and agree with what I've written. So I guess I'll see you out on the mission field of the unengaged and the unevangelized..Don't forget to bring the chicken.

Peace out right back at 'cha
again no hate here! and when you do speak, i hope it's not what you writing because that would be tragic! have a good life in Christ!
My work speaks for itself, didn't mean to hit a proverbial nerve......
well good ,cause only "your" work will follow you! Just make sure while you're doin the work you KNOW JESUS!
If I didn't know Jesus I wouldn't "Go Ye Therefore...." to do the continuing work of Jesus.
While I think this is a excellent topic, I know that it is also very controversial especially for those that feel we can have it all, and should have it all. But I believe that Jesus set unquestionable guidelines for our prosperity (as our soul prospers). I believe that today many pastors, churches, organizations are in it for the money. Church has become a business of get rich quick.

Just a few months ago, a local pastor was indicted for several different offenses. I knew the pastors personally, I was a member, and I saw how the upper leaders of the church prospered, but it was not of God. They drove Hummers, Benz’s, Lincolns. They lived in fancy mansions far away from us. They took extravagant vacations and told us they were free, that God had blessed them, but then the bottom fell out from under them. They were indicted on multiple counts of fraud with FEMA, and with the Student Loans. When it was all said and done they’d taken more than 3.5 millions dollars in the name of the church. Money that was spent on expensive trips, expensive home, expensive cars, and a million dollar wedding for their son, and yet they could pass you up on the corner on a Sunday after service, and not offer you a ride home.

Jesus put great stipulations on riches for a reason not to say that we can’t obtain it, but we must be in a place to hear God’s will for our lives. I don’t believe that God gives us riches to do as we please, especially if we confess Christianity, but it is for the furthering of the gospel. Our reward will come later.

I see pastors with their two story fairy tale homes, and their six to seven cars for two, and they won’t lift a finger to help the widows, or the homeless. The have homeless ministries, that collect money year round, but they only feed them twice a year. Thanksgiving and Christmas. These are not the examples that God left for us. We are to give to him that ask, and expect nothing in return.

I don’t knock anyone’s prosperity, but I say check yourself whether you still be in the will of God, all prosperity in the church is not from God, some has come from over zealous pastors, and laymen.

Paul said he learned to be content. Doesn’t mean to be poor, I don’t believe that God requires us to be poor, but I believe that God will provide according to His riches and glory.

Be blessed.

Amen Sister Evangelist,
Peace & Blessings!
those people stole and cheated. God will prosper his people. There are those though who through greed find themselves at falter. But after you suffer a while God will bless his people. This is a promise. My prosperity is my prosperity just like my suffering is my suffering. Every body suffers differently and prospers differently, but to God be the Glory!
DEAR SISTER:

I BELIEVE THAT AS CHILDREN OF GOD, HE HAS GIVEN US THE ABILITY TO DICERN, WHAT IS AND WHAT IS NOT OF HIM. THERE IS SOME THAT WALK WITH FAMILIAR SPIRITS, YOU MUST ASK FOR DISCERNMENT, SO THAT YOUR SPIRIT WILL KNOW IF IT IS IN THE RIGHT PLACE OF NOT.
THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS HIS WAY OF COMMUNICATING TO US, THE DEVIL IS OUT TO DECEIVE US ALL AND EVEN A PASTOR CAN BE TORMENTED AND MAY NOT KNOW IT. SO WE MUST PUT ON THE FULL ARMOUR OF GOD.
WE MUST PRAY EVERYDAY, AND EVEN IF YOU DON'T PRAY ALL DAY MEDITATE, SING, PRAY IN YOUR SPIRIT! ABIDE IN HIM AND HE WILL AIBIDE IN YOU! IT IS JUST A LAW.
SEE, I DON'T WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT WHAT THE PREACHER'S ARE DOING, BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONES WHO HAVE TO RESPOND TO GOD, FOR THEIR DOINGS,
THE BIBLE SAYS JUDGE NOT, LEAST YE BE JUDGE, SO WE HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFULL EVEN OF THE THAUGHTS THAT WE ENTERTAIN. GIRL GIVE YOURSELF A CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE GOD. FASTING AND PRAYER IS FOR SANCTIFICATION, DRAW CLOSER TO GOD AND HE WILL GIVE YOU REST.
FORGET WHAT PEOPLE SAY OR THINK, YOU MUST EXPERIENCE GOD FOR YOURSELF! TASTE HOW SWEET MY GOD IS!.......GOD BLESS YOU!

one simple bible saying I think sums it up. Think about it many of the people in the old testament were very blessed with wealth that were Ya's people.

Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. What would be the hardest for you to give up? GOD, Family, Job, Jewlery, Money. Just like the rich guy that came to Jesus. He said what do I have to do to be in heaven? Jesus said have you followed the commandments. He said yes, then Jesus said go sell all you have and give it away and follow me. The Rich man didnt want to. His heart was with his money not with his Creator.

Money is not evil. Its the LOVE for money that is. Having money is fine as long as you know its really not yours. If you have it share it.

So to answer your question. It depends on the person and where their heart really is.
well said!
Exactly, but at the sametime I believe that alot of Ministers get a bad rap. They prosper and everyone says they do it for greed, and use it as an excuse too down them.

If one knows them to be false and does not warn them, then what use is it , as well as warning others one must make sure that they are not false...

Remember the story of the prophet whom dis-obeyed God,because of the words of another Prophet...........
