2 Corinthians 4:2, "But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God."

2 Corinthians 4:7, "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us."

1 Thessalonians 1:5-, "For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.  And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost: So that ye were ensamples to all that believe in Macedonia and Achaia. For from you sounded out the word of the Lord not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith to God-ward is spread abroad; so that we need not to speak any thing.   "

1 Thessalonians 2:13, "For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received [it] not [as] the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe."

2 Timothy 2:15-21, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.  And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some. Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.  But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.  If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work."

2 Timothy 3:16-17, "All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works."

AFTER reading all of the scriptures, what is your answer - are you taught by man or by the Holy Ghost?

Brother I have been to Africa on many mission trips, I have been to India many times. The funny thing is You don't know me and to think that you do based on this chart room is sad.

If you were to meet Jesus, Paul, Moses, Joshua you would say the samething about them. You need to be more humble........

Pastor Sweet,

If you have been to Africa and India many times than according to your ideology of proper educational training through seminary, you were teaching people around the world without knowing what you were talking about.

It seems that your premise is flawed.  You say one thing but do another.  You are going to have to go back to Africa, and India after your seminary school is complete.  Is this your reasoning?  God sent you around the world without being properly prepared for the work of the ministry.  Sounds a little confusing.  I know your spirit.

I agree...

Is it right to do unto others as they do unto you? Especially when you know better?

I am very strong in believing the Word of God - The Holy Bible.  Hurt is no longer a part of  my adjectives that describe who I am in Jesus Christ.  Your spirit of writing shows that your ignorance of the knowledge you claim to have is not being used to enhance the Body of Christ, but continue to tear the Kingdom of God and the Body of Christ down...

What is that?  (Please, no response is necessary)  Matthew 18 speaks on the offences to be avoided, therefore, I will be the man about this and apologize to you for any offence I may have caused you.  Vs. 15, "Moreover if any brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother."

BTW, what seminary are you attending?  What year?

I'm done!  Peace and blessings...

and you are not a good "listener"...

Sister Lovitha,

The “elephant in the room” is the doctrinal point that has divided denominations and severed fellowships, particularly since the birth of the modern Pentecostal Movement. For over a hundred years, two views of the Spiritual baptism—the occurrence foretold by Christ, and experienced by the disciples on the Day of Pentecost—have been debated throughout the Church. One view defines the Baptism in the Holy Ghost as a single event in time in which the apostles, representing the whole Church, were “immersed” in the Spirit. This veiw asserts that this was a collective event, and therefor every new believer is likewise immersed in and in-dwelt by the Holy Spirit at the moment of his or her conversion. The other view defines the Baptism in the Holy Ghost as a personal experience of the every believer distinct from, and usually subsequent to, the conversion experience. This view holds that new believers are candidates for the Spiritual immersion and in-dwelling, which will occur with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

Someone who holds the former viewpoint cannot answer a question that presupposes the latter; it is nonsensical to him. So allow me, as a Pentecostal, to attempt to answer your earlier question:

For those who don't know or have the Holy Ghost in them, how do they know that they are being taught under the guidance of the Holy Ghost?  Especially the new babes...

Every believer, even the “babe in Christ,” should be striving to learn God’s word. “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby…” Believers should be concerned about receiving biblical instruction. But regarding what they are specifically taught, they should be employing the Berean analysis: they should be willing to receive instruction, but careful to examine the Scriptures to see if what was taught is true. Even what we call the “Holy Ghost-filled” believer ultimately evaluates any teaching he hears by revealed truth. The practical question he asks isn’t “Is this teacher under the guidance of the Holy Ghost?”; it's “Is this teaching in line with the word of God?”

Brother Gill you are COGIC right?
You, sir, are correct.
Okay thank you for answering!
Thank you Brother Gill.  I understand your explanation...

John 1:1, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."  I agree that everybody should open their bibles for themselves and review whatever it is that is being taught.

Many people find it hard to read the bible and understand.  We can say that is what seminary school is for, to help you understand.  We could say that we are to study and ask God for wisdom and understanding in our education and training whether it be from seminary school or through self-study.

Lovitha M, Whittington Shelton I think you need to clarify your question, because every believer who is born again have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit however not every believer have received baptism of the Holy Spirit.  They are not the same thing and the reason you are being challenge on what you stated.
